Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 9.4

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. • Happy Friday indeed! So glad for the long weekend.

@mindyb2019 I am glad to see you here (which I never say) but given goals for this month (vs last month), it feels like the right thing to say! Grief counseling sounds like an important investment of your time. Good luck!

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD: 9

WAYDTGKU: Clomid + IUI, PNV and a whole bunch of other supplements/vitamins.

R/R: hooray for Friday! My work week has been a real slough: there’s lots to do but I have very little motivation. I really need that to shift soon but my mind is so preoccupied with TTC. 😩 I’m currently looking into psychiatry/psychology options, and hope to close on that soon. I also have back-to-back meetings most of the day today. 💩

CS/Q: pretty consistent; also my RHR is def up 2-3 bpm over what it usually is in the first half of cycle. Hopefully that’s Clomid related.

  • @mindyb2019 that's great that YH feels ready to start trying again! I hope your counseling appointment goes well again

    Month/Cycle: Too long

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: taking way too long to get the measles vaccine, pausing on OPKs but will be temping to track the cycle, continuing the supplements and diet

R/R: I woke up sad. I still feel sad. If I were the movie Inside Out, Joy would be in the pit of forgotten memories. It sounds like I might not get the vaccine until next week Thursday when I have my follow up with the PCP for my antidepressant. I hate delays. I don't want to be alone, but I feel like I need to be alone right now. I just want the world to give me a break. DH is at his new office getting his cubicle set up so I can't even walk over to him for a hug  :'( I'll just be around today and maybe the weekend too.

Rave - I am clearly very much in need of this long weekend. We were originally going to go out to my parents for part of the weekend but I just can't be around people right now and since the weather is going to be much cooler than it has been lately, I really really want to get some things done around the house. Even just getting the damn kitchen swept would make me feel accomplished. Actually, there are a lot of things that need to be cleaned that I've been making note of over the last 2 weeks and just haven't done. My antidepressant is helping with me not freak out about it. It'll get done when it gets done.

CS/Q: eh, not going to go through the effort of putting my chart here

  • @inthewoods23 I’m sorry you woke up sad today. Sending hugs your way ❤️ I’m also sorry for the delay in getting your vaccine. That sucks. I hate delays. Despite how your feeling I do hope you have a long weekend and get some stuff done around the house.

@acleverusername Thanks. I’m happy to be over here too given the goals for this month over the last cycle. I hope you have a great long weekend too. That’s sucks that you have back to back meetings most of the day today. Boo earns. Hopefully they go by fast.
  • @mindyb2019 I admire your ability to stay positive and see AF as a hopeful beginning to a new cycle!

@inthewoods23 sending you a virtual hug!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM tracking

R/R: So thankful for the long weekend! Although I feel like when I have more time on my hands, I end up obsessing more over what's going on in my cycle and all things pregnancy related. I'm working on that :) My period has been a lot different since getting my Paragard IUD out and this cycle it was only 3 days long (compared to my typical 5-7). I'm a little worried but I emailed my doctor and she said she's not concerned right now and to just keep an eye on it for the time being.

    CS/Q: none

  • @mindyb2019 I hope all the good things happen for you this month!! I’m glad that you’re finding grief counseling helpful!

@acleverusername I hope your meetings weren’t too rough today and you’re having a stress-free start to the weekend!

@inthewoods23 sending you so many hugs today ❤️

@lauren_0620 I am completely the same way about obsessing when I have too much time on my hands. I have about a bunch of different things that I throw myself into full-force right before I O and during the TWW every single month to keep my mind busy haha.

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD: 15

WAYDTGKU: temping, OPKs, PNV, baby aspirin , progesterone after O

R/R: The day totally got away from me today! Like everyone has already said, I’m happy for the long weekend. We are having some friends over tonight for pizza and then DH and I have a date night scheduled tomorrow. I’m so excited! We haven’t been out to eat since before all this pandemic business started. I think we are going to go out for tacos and margaritas...always the right choice!

CS/Q: if my OPKs would darken that would be greaaaaat....

  • @mindyb2019 I’m so happy you are on the same page! I hope this is a good cycle for you :)

@acleverusername Agreed, this work week was quite a slog. But now, long weekend!

@inthewoods23 Will your PCP office seriously not order a vaccine without proof that your test was low? Silly. It is literally a vaccine. I wish I could just order it for you.

@lauren_0620 Paragard frequently makes periods heavier, so it makes sense that they would be lighter now. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

@runningoncookies Have a fun date night!

Month/Cycle: Started 9 months ago, cycle 2 AL

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: Tracking and crossing my fingers that we can leave the bench in time for this month

R/R: Woo 3 day weekend! Has been a rough work week, but so happy it is over.

    CS/Q: Nothing exciting

  • @inthewoods23 we were posting at the same time. It's OK to feel sad and wallow; you've been through a lot already. I can't comment re: Wellbutrin, but in the past when I had to take anxiety medication, it definitely took me 4-6 weeks to feel the effects fully. Hopefully a low-key long weekend will re-set your mood.

@lauren_0620 I hear you on the analyzing/overanalyzing cycle when there's nothing else to distract me. Have you got any ideas on how to distract yourself?

@runningoncookies enjoy your visitors and your date night! Tacos and margaritas sound delicious. Is dining-in permitted where you are? FX that your OPKs get dark this weekend.

@fitzfizz Sorry to hear you've had a rough week too; what are your plans to relax this weekend?

  • @mindyb2019 Yay for AF! So happy for you that both you & YH feel ready to try again. I hope the counseling session tonight is everything you need it to be.
@acleverusername Sorry the TTC obsession is taking over your brain. That’s how it gets sometimes—I know lots of people need to take a break when it consumes them, so do that if you need to. (Although I’m a psycho who loves to plot & and plan daily about it.🤪....except when it gets depressing.)
@inthewoods23 Aaawww, friend, I’m sad that you’re sad today!😢 I’m so sorry about the delays with the vaccine. Sending you virtual hugs!!  And I’m trying to not be annoying, but if there is a bright side in all this: at least this delay gives more time for the financial break from IVF you that you had mentioned awhile ago? And of course, you will be immune to the measles!🤞🏽
@lauren_0620 Yes, hooray for the long weekend!
@runningoncookies Enjoy your date night! Tacos & margaritas sound amazing 😋

  • @mindyb2019 I’m so glad AF showed up and that DH is ready to start trying! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
@inthewoods23 I’m sorry you are in a sad funk and that your vaccine is being delayed. 👎🏼
@acleverusername TTC feels so consuming most days. It’s honestly exhausting. Hopefully it starts drifting from your mind soon.
@lauren_0620 my periods have been longer since having my Mirena removed three months ago. I’m a bit jealous. 🤣
@fitzfizz ready for you to get your results so you can be unbenched!
@runningoncookies tacos are margs is ALWAYS the answer, no matter the question! I hope you enjoyed yourself!
@keikilove 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 those healthy eggs lead to stellar little embryos! Enjoy the extra rest time this weekend!

    Month/Cycle: 3/4

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: all the vitamins, OPKs, BBT, CM, CP, HIO EOD

R/R: Today was crazy. I met with 5 more families and students. I had two meetings. I should have started lesson planning but have none of that done for next week. Thankfully, my cramps and backache only lasted yesterday, so at least I didn’t have that constant reminder today. I will be spending my weekend lesson planning. It’s supposed to storm here, so won’t get much outside time, either.

CS/Q: it’s boring but I took the time to screenshot so here you go. 🤣

@keikilove ER is so soon! I hope all those vitamins are gonna pay off BIG!!! (I know they will.) Is YH taking anything? OH, and I am totally a data gatherer/plotter! Earlier on, I created a spreadsheet and inputted my RHR + bbt for 4 cycles and ran a correlation. LOL. Then I realized I can just input RHR into FF so I stopped doing it.

@inthewoods23 Haha. Well it sounds like you're already starting to feel some of the benefits of Wellbutrin in that you don't care about a dirty kitchen. Self care is KEY! And don't even feel guilty about it. I am totally leaning into the self-care too (as per therapy session last week). For me it's taking baths (even though we have the tiniest a$$ tub ever) and total all the bath-related stuff I ordered from Etsy started arriving.

@chindimples04 I got tired just reading through your update! Wow - sounds like a crazy work week. And I'm sorry you have to work on the weekend now.

@mindyb2019 I actually don't know how to change the sig on the phone (in fact it looks like you can't do it on the phone); for desktop, instructions are in the spoiler:
