  • @reirei84 I was just thinking about the newborn Christmas present thing. I think because I’ll be wrapping so many other gifts I’m not very excited to wrap one for someone who can’t unwrap it yet haha 😆. But maybe having one for him will be fun for my older son to unwrap and give to him.
  • @reirei84 I will be getting the baby a few gifts and putting together a stocking. I have a few things picked out that I'd like, but don't need so I'm using Christmas as an excuse to buy them! This is also my 3rd so I kinda need to wrap something for under the tree otherwise my 4yo will notice...he's observant when you don't want him to be! 😆
  • acdc1109 Glad to know I'm not the only one with Christmas on the brain already! I'm a first time mom, so its really just for my own selfish indulgence of Christmas. I might wrap a nice Christmas day outfit for him to wear...poor thing already getting clothes his first year!
  • @hedgepig those are beautiful! Baby can always use a soft blanket!
  • Good luck ladies on the glucose test!!!

Estimated due date (EDD): November 30

    Week of pregnancy: 26

Baby is the size of: Kale

Upcoming Appointments: Glucose test next Thursday.

Rant/Rave: Rave: Figured out how to get over to the Facebook group! I was way too excited about that. I blame social distancing/Covid lol. I think it will be a lot easier to keep up with everyone. Also, we leave for Yellowstone next Friday!!!!!! Wooooooohoooo. Little bit excited about that as well  Rant: A storm came through yesterday and knocked the power out at work. We close at 5pm, power went out at 4, and we had to wait until 5 before we could leave. Only took about 5 minutes until I was miserable without the air conditioning

Questions? This is probably TMI, but for those who have taken the glucose test, did you have to do a urine sample after? I had to with DS, and even though the drink was clear, when I went to leave a urine sample it was bright orange. It terrified me. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else/is normal, or if I just have a weird reaction to it?

GTKY: What is your biggest pet peeve? There are too many. EVERYTHING you have all said lol. My main pet peeve right now is when my husband with either a) leave a clothes trail around the house or b) throw his dirty clothes in a pile RIGHT. NEXT. TO. THE. HAMPER. I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about it lol

As far as Christmas, I've already bought some 3-6 and 6-9 mo outfits that I plan on wrapping, just so she will have something under the tree along with DS presents. Although back when we had DS, we still did mainly clothes as presents. Since he was born in April, he spent his first Christmas chewing on the edge of the presents lol. @crizz13 I am already stressing about that "feeling cheated" out of Christmas. I think I saw someone make that comment before and I forgot just how much I was a zombie the first few months with DS. I am planning on taking a week off work in the beginning of November, and I told DH that I was going to get Christmas shopping and decorating done that week, so that way I won't feel stressed about taking care of it all after baby comes. I think regardless, it is going to be a wonky holiday season anyway, with covid going on.

@1sttimemomma98 +1 for thriving on schedules! My mom always gets me a planner as a Christmas gift for the following year lol. My husband starts classes next week, he has his final 2, one is full in person, and the other is partial in person. It is driving me crazy not knowing how they are going to have the "partial in person" classes.
  • kerriec93 I didnt have to do a urine sample after, but my glucose test wasn't at my ob and I had to go to a different testing facility. The drink was REALLY good though!
  • @reirei84 I saw you got cold lemon lime. I'm jealous lol. Ours are room temp and we have the option of orange or fruit punch. With DS I had fruit punch. Wasnt as bad as everyone had hyped it up to be, but definitely not enjoyable either 😅 I think I'm going to try the orange this time.🤞
  • Glad mine tasting good, because I have to go back.  :s Dr. Just emailed that I failed with 141 and need to take the 3 hour test. Going to go in first thing Monday or else it's just going to drive me crazy all week. Food is the only thing I feel like I can control in my life right now, so I'm really hoping I pass this one. I've been bummed out all day.
  • @reirei84 aw I’m sorry! I’ve heard a lot of mommas don’t pass the 1 hr but pass the 3 hr! fingers crossed 🤞🏻
  • @reirei84 I failed the 1 hr with 159 and did the 3 hr this morning. I saw my results and I passed 1 of the 4 blood draws...🤦‍♀️ Don't worry though, I had GD during my last pregnancy so I wasn't all that surprised. 141 isn't too bad so I'm sure you'll pass!
  • Estimated due date (EDD): 11/21

    Week of pregnancy: 28

Baby is the size of: Eggplant

Upcoming Appointments: This upcoming Tuesday (3 hour glucose)

Rant/Rave: Anyone else feeling so tired already? The third trimester just started and I immediately feel exhausted! This is my second and I don't remember feeling this tired again until much closer to my due date. We are moving in about 10 days an I hope I have the energy!

Questions? So I failed my 1 hour glucose, and went in for the 3 hour this past Friday, but I puked up the whole drink and they made me reschedule it again. Has this happened to anyone else? I felt fine at the 1 hour, but now am afraid I'm going to feel sick again when I have to go back on Tuesday. I have not experienced much sickness at all during this pregnancy and didn't have to do this for my last pregnancy so just really anxious!
