I drink my caffeinated tea in the 2ww. I always figure since they say that a small amount is okay even in pregnancy that it should be okay especially since we are drinking tea. I will switch to decaf only when I get a BFP.
I personally since the 2nd m/c have sworn off caffeine and alcohol in the 2ww. I know it didnt cause either one of the m/c but I figure whats 2 weeks if Im pg I'll have to give it up anyway.
BFP #1 06/15/08 Missed M/C 07/22/08
BFP #2 11/08/08 Chemical Pregnancy 11/14/08
BFP #3 01/17/10 Mark Jason born Sept 16 2010
BFP #4 08/17/11 Chemical Pregnancy 08/23/11
BFP #5 01/06/12 Blighted Ovum 2/2/12 M/C 2/11/12
BFP #6 11/28/12 EDD 08/10/13 Saw/Heard Heartbeat 12/20!!
I limit it. I talked to my perinatologist and she says that all the research is not conclusive. I try to take under 100mg a day which is considered safe.
I drink it. I've actually been slowly phasing it out for PG. I know it's fine (in a small amount) during PG and actually drank coffee off and on throughout my PG with my DD. I'm just doing it to try and be more healthy.
Originally my attitude was moderation during the 2ww then cut it when and if I get a BFP.
After my 2nd loss I did start having it again but now I'm trying to wean myself. I just don't want it in my system during the 2ww at all. I think that's overly cautious, but that's where I'm at.
