How are you feeling?: BAD back pain, but otherwise ok

Rants/Raves: I'm in pain with no painkillers. AHHHHH.

I'm going with actual things, assuming I can land on the island with my fam:

Upcoming appointments: sept 8th for my anatomy scan at 18 wks

How are you feeling?: ok. So much better than my first trimester. Getting more stretching sensations across my uterus now.

Rants/Raves: I guess all it took was for me to put it out in the universe that I wasn’t really showing yet for it to happen. I woke up this morning and I def don’t have just a food baby anymore.

Questions: Might be TMI- anyone else noticing an increase in their discharge? Nothing alarming in color, just pantyliner needed all day amounts for me. 🤦🏻‍♀️

How are you feeling?: decently better, nausea is mostly gone but still super tired and get winded so easily. Lots of headaches and heartburn.

Rants/Raves: rant: probably TMI but I have had zero sex drive since getting pregnant. My poor H keeps asking (but not pushing). So last night we did the deed and immediately after he finished I just sobbed. He of course thought I was hurt or something was wrong but I think it was just a hormone dump because I had no idea why I was crying. It was not attractive and I definitely ruined the moment.

How are you feeling?: Starting to get headaches here and there, but overall pretty good.

Rants/Raves: I said it in another thread, but we found out we are having a girl! It was so fun to do a little gender reveal with my sister and two friends.

How are you feeling?: still tired, nauseous, heartburn and wishing I could feel baby move more often

Rants/Raves: work has been awful lately so I’ve been trying to take random mental health days off. Last Friday was one of those days and it was very much needed!

Upcoming appointments: Sept 8 US for cervical check (I have a condition that is sometimes associated with cervical insufficiency) and midwife appointment same day.

How are you feeling?: gradually a bit less nauseous and tired, so I progressed back to jogging yesterday (only 1 min jog, 1 min walk, no incline). Then last night I had very severe abdominal pain mostly right side. It kind of felt like gas pain but I wasn’t constipated or anything. Today it’s still there but less severe. Wondering if it’s muscle/ligament stretching although it really didn’t feel that way last night.

Rants/Raves: there is demolition happening across the street from my house and it makes the loudest noises ALL THE TIME- even Saturday. And I cannot escape from the noise anywhere in my house!!

Questions: For the experiences pregnant ladies: where did you feel round ligament pain/what did it feel like to you?

Upcoming appointments: Sep 18 for anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: Good! Sore hips and if I have to be on my feet for any extended period of time everything hurts from the waist down. But I feel overall good!

Rants/Raves: I failed my 1 hr glucose test so I have to go in for a 3 hr on Friday. Bummed about it.

Questions: Is anyone's office letting spouses come for anatomy scans? Mine is still saying no and I'm really sad hubs can't be there for any ultrasounds.

How are you feeling?: Tired mostly and trying not to be a ball of nerves. Second the sore back & hips. Trying to be careful with looser joints. Trying to focus on the positive in my life because who needs all the negative crap?

Rants/Raves: I'm really grateful for how this pregnancy seems to be bringing me closer to people I have been meaning to reconnect to in my life thus far. (I have only told a couple close friends besides some family currently).

Questions: Where is everyone getting the cool size comparisons? Everywhere I look compares baby size to fruit or vegetables, with the exception of one site.

@manditchka24 I'm pretty sure I was having this exact same pain also on the right most of yesterday also on the right side. It feels like an extremely sharp stabbing pain also like a side stitch sometimes. It took my breath away yesterday & I couldn't get comfortable. My Orthopedic Doctor that does adjustments (apparently including uterine massage!) worked on it the first day I had it (so can confirm that's the pain I felt) & said it was the round ligament & theres a ligament that goes vertically in the center as well, so be prepared haha. A warm epsom salt bath might help. Hope you feel better!

How are you feeling?: Nervous about next week. They found our MMC last time at 17 weeks.

Rants/Raves:
Rant: One of the committees I run at work is in charge of writing a 1-page memo summarizing people's careers when they retire. Which is normally FINE, except when HR gives me a last working day and then NEGLECTS TO INFORM ME WHEN IT CHANGES, so I show up day-of and they're like "Oh, did you do that?" No, Helen, you told me their last day is next Sunday - which gives me literally all of this week to work on it. Or, you know, has someone else do it and then NEGLECTS TO TELL ME IT'S ALREADY BEEN DONE "Well, you were out of the office, so I just wanted to make sure it got done. I already had to do Barbara's!" Oh...you mean Barbara who decided she was retiring while I was on vacation, but neglected to tell anyone she was retiring months early until after I was already on vacation?

Questions: I've seen a few of you talk about your fetal dopplers. Which brand/model did you get and where did you get them? I'm wondering if having one might ease my anxiety stemming from our previous MMC.

@tamalahoops - I find the GD diagnosis annoying, but so far all of my #s have been good so aside from having to check my sugars frequently and e-mail my dietitian once a week my daily life hasn't changed.

How are you feeling?: Nauseous 24/7, migraines started, tired all day long and now I started getting very dizzy on and off all day.

Rants/Raves: I went to my obgyn today and since neither the RN or my OB could find the babies heartbeats with the doppler I got to see them on an ultrasound

Questions: Has anyone tried Magnesium Spray on their feet for migraines?

@animommy I get different baby size from the Ovia pregnancy app....you can pick your theme: weird but cute animals (house mouse currently), fun and games (troll doll currently), Parisian bakery (Mille-feuille currently) or fruits/vegetables (beet). Also the bump app home page usually gives me something new each day.

glad to hear I’m not alone in the abdominal pain but also feel bad that you’re experiencing it too!!

@tamalahoops I failed my first test both times but passed the 3 hour. Fingers crossed for you that you pass!

My husband can come to the anatomy scan but he won’t because we have no one to stay with the kids so I’ll be going it alone !

@WildMagelet mine is this one:

I’ve had it since Jan 2017 and got it on ebay when it was new, so I don’t know if it’s still around. I’m finding that the HR detector isn’t so reliable number-wise anymore, so I just count BPM in 30 seconds and multiply it by two. I also use aloe vera gel since I ran out of the tiny ultrasound gel that came with this within the first few weeks of using it and it works just fine!

@tamalahoops my husband does get to come to the anatomy scan with me. They actually said my 2 year old can come too and I was like yeah he will be at daycare...

@WildMagelet I have a neeva baby Doppler. It was around $50 and works really well. It definitely helps ease my anxiety!

How are you feeling?: tired, lazy, but more energized than the first trimester; out of breath easily

Rants/Raves: its a boy!!! I think a boy will be very fitting for our family! Our most recent ultrasound was funny, the tech turned it on and found him and first thing she said was, "uhhh he's doing a headstand":)

How are you feeling?: mmm fat and kind of waddly tbh.

Rants/Raves: The one good thing about social distancing is I don't have to tell anyone about this spontaneous weight gain. I just look like I've been eating my way through the pandemic.

Sadly I discovered babylist last week and I have been curating all of the things. I've even planned a celestial theme for the nursery.

My pregnancy pillow came today. Lets see how that goes.

My fingers randomly tingle for stretches of time. I dont think its carpal tunnel and Im not far along enough yet.

Waiting on Mondays visit so I can start working out again

GTKY: What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island? 🏝 a hatchet, a metal bucket, a gun (with bullets) eh..... I've read all those books about huge island boar and I am not trying to take one of those monsters down with a hatchet. Nope not me. If there are no boar on my island my alternative option is a flashlight with solar powered batteries.
