    (TMI WARNING)
Y'all this pregnancy constipation is going to actually be the death of me. Omg I'm post-poop right now and like my body actually hurts. Like I broke a sweat, I cried actual tears, it was really rough....

    Questions?

GTKY: Would you rather the beach, the mountains, or the city - why? (selfishly asking to plan my next vacay :) )
We just went to the beach a week ago, SO and I loooooove the mountains (so I feel like this is always our go-to), but neither of us are really "city" people - though I would love to explore some cool cities. I go to Boston every year for work and love exploring there.

Rant/Rave: DD starts a kindergarten on Wed and I have all the feels! We got to go meet her teachers today and it made it so much more real. I can’t wait for her to start because she is so excited but at the same time I just can’t believe she’s a big kid now!

100% vote for mountains! Preferably with a lake so you get the beach aspect too. Nothing beats it. ❤️ ⛰
  • @Ecat504 I am so sorry about the constipation! It’s been coming and going for me this pregnant but it is not fun when it’s here!

@Ecat504 OMG! That was me with DD, so this time around I make sure to take a colace at LEAST 3 times a week to keep me "normal" I haven't had any issues so far.  Also, Boston is one of my fav cities to visit! What's your fav thing to do there?

@krystrist2014 *HUGS* seems like yesterday DD was starting kindergarten and now she is going to 3rd grade *cries* you'll probably cry and that's ok but I am sure your DD is sooo excited!!

GTKY: Would you rather the beach, the mountains, or the city - why? (selfishly asking to plan my next vacay  ) Normally I’m a beach person, but I’m so hot all of the time right now! I’m thinking mountains sound wonderful!

@Ecat504 I’m with you on the constipation. It been horrible recently! I think I may try the colace this week. Ugh!

@wychets It’s so exciting that you don’t have to go back to MFM!

@krystrist2014 Good luck on you glucose test! I hope your DD has an awesome first day.

I’m typically beach, DH is mountains, but we both love and miss really nice restaurants and culture/history of big cities. So if and when COVID clears and I’m not nursing or pumping all the time, we’d love to do a cosmopolitan dining-centered trip somewhere fun!

    Week of pregnancy: 27 tomorrow

  • @wychets hurray for no more high risk appointments!! 😃 And thank you! I really never expected to be the parent that cried dropping their child off for kindergarten, especially since she’s been in daycare/preschool so long, BUT as soon as she was walking off into the school and we started to pull away from the car line I got completely overwhelmed by emotion and literally burst into tears. It took me completely by surprise! 😭 She was so excited for school and brave and as far as I could see, she didn’t cry or get scared at all. It’s only a half day too, so I literally get to pick her up at 11:20! I cannot wait to hear about her first day.
@vetgirl2011 thank you! And I’m with you on being hot! I am so hot 24/7. I could be just sitting in the house on my laptop for work and I’m sweating. It’s gross.

  • @krystrist2014 I know the feeling! DD was sooo excited she could not wait to get to school! Meanwhile I was crying the whole way home wondering if she would need me lol. Pick up time was amazing though she couldn't wait to tell me everything, so exciting to think back!

  • @wychets
I got a secret tour of the Harvard library, that was super awesome. It totally is everything you can imagine it to be.
Last year I went to the Cheers bar, I did a few witch tours, and went to the house of seven gables. I only ever end up with one afternoon / evening to explore. So I always get to see the city in little doses.
I'm dying to go to a baseball game though.

They want me to take the 3hr glucose (again) after passing it once at 16 weeks before the day of my appointment but I'm not so sure I will do that. Who in the world of history of being pregnant needed to suffer that test twice? 😑 probably no one.

    Rant/Rave: My rant is above

    Questions?

GTKY: Would you rather the beach, the mountains, or the city - why? The beach! I love sand and sun. ☺ Definitely not a city.
  • @wychets and @krystrist2014 first day drop offs are so tough! This year DH and I did it together then went to a specialty donut shop so I could eat away my tears. It might be a new tradition
  • @Ecat504 ooooo I loved cheers!!! And I love Harvard Campus!! Have you tried the duck tours? Or whale watching? Whale watching was my absolute favorite, I believe it’s seasonal though.
