How are you feeling: Overall good, nothing out of the ordinary.

Rants/Raves: Super happy to have an idea of baby’s movements and patters. I get lots of movement in the evenings!

Questions: Has anyone used/will use a Snoo bassinet? Im debating but it’s crazy expensive. We used a stationary next to me for the first, but no longer have it.

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? I have always wanted to visit Machu Picchu.

Upcoming appointments: Fluids tomorrow but nothing doctor related for awhile actually

How are you feeling: actually okay. Still nauseous but the vomiting is better under control and fluids are really helping.

Rants/Raves: my MFM put me on an injectable blood thinner. Yuck. I kinda hate it. They also diagnosed me with some crazy issue with her cord, so I am trying to get in to see my normal doctor to discuss it.

Questions:

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? Buy a sailboat! I loved sailing as a kid. Right now I just want a little hunter. Something I can sail in a lake, tow with an suv.

@jchpg We’re planning on renting the Snoo. Ideally we’ll only need it for a few months but its a good deal to rent it and sleep is worth it, IMO

How are you feeling:
Good! Baby has found their kicking legs this week. It is kicking up a non-stop storm and we can see it on the outside! Down side is crazy heartburn and burps. Heartburn kept me up for the first time last night. Looks like I’ll be getting some Tums...

Rants/Raves:
Its so damn hot here this week. 95-100 for the next few days. As a result, I can’t go out and run and I feel so lazy not working out for a few days in a row 😩

Upcoming appointments:. The specialist wants weekly monitoring with my normal OB, but haven't heard anything more about it. Otherwise Sept 2.

How are you feeling:. Nausea and heartburn. Some back pain.

Rants/Raves:. We had a good appointment with the specialist. I got to see lots of movement which was fun. My heart rate was apparently very high due to nerves and as my husband says, the boy was dancing to those sick beats! Our anniversary was quiet, but good.

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? I would love to see the Northern Lights either in Alaska or Iceland.

@jchpg We were thinking about it, but just couldn't stomach that price tag. You can rent it for maybe $150 dollars a month (double check that number, since I have been looking at numbers all day). Maybe that might be a better solution. If we get desperate once the baby comes, we might think about renting it.

@the_road_to_oz. Yay for feeling okay! I know that is a big improvement! Hopefully your Dr will have some answers about everything else going on.

How are you feeling: pretty good! Some BH contractions in the mornings I think. Had to take a nap yesterday because I was so tired after running errands for a few hours. Baby is kicking a lot more!

Rants/Raves: we’re really feeling like the crazy anti-social people lately. It’s frustrating Bc we have realized just how many friends don’t even speak to us at all now that we don’t go out. It sucks. It’s hard not to feel left out and sad that we aren’t invited to things (even though we wouldn’t go). I know none of that makes sense, just has been strange to navigate. Really wish things were different.

to be fluent in another language - probably French or Italian

@jchpg we are getting the Snoo. A lot of friends (who did not get the Snoo) have told us not to waste our money. But everyone I know who actually had one swears by it and thinks it’s worth it. DH and I talked about it and while it’s expensive, we can afford it and think it’s worth the gamble if we happen to get some extra z’s from it.

How are you feeling: Pretty much fine, stuck in "get it done" mode since I FINALLY have time off (in between summer school and the "regular year" for which NYC STILL has NO calendar or firm plans, I'm also STILL waiting to hear anything about my medical accommodation approval to work from home. Very pissed, very anxious.

Rants/Raves: See above.

Questions: None, YES I am getting a Snoo! I'm still deciding if we will just rent it (DS was pretty easy and quick to sleep train) OR if we will buy it (Just sign up for their stuff and wait for Black Friday!).

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? Owning a home! NY sucks in this way.

How are you feeling: Pretty good, but I don't like this beginning stage of movement I feel like she's playing mind games when movement isn't super regular.

Rants/Raves: Rave - The bedding and mobile I ordered came! We're waiting on getting our refund from Preakness tickets and then we're hiring someone to paint the nursery. Ideally DH would do it, but he's not the neatest painter so I pushed to hire the guy who has painted for us before. I want to get all of that squared away sooner rather than later so we can set up the crib etc. Rant - everything with the USPS is making me mad. We're just fortunate to not rely on meds being shipped through the mail. The deliberate delay of everything else is super annoying and I feel bad for the small businesses who have been affected.

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? At some point I'd like to own a home on acerage. That might be a pipe dream though, I don't think DH is down with that.

Rants/Raves: Love being able to feel baby girl kick away in there! DH came home after 8 days working storm restoration and we sent him to get a Covid test just to play it safe - we got the results within 6 hours that he was negative!

GTKY: what's one thing on your lifetime bucket list? I want to travel more within the US - not that I have a specific goal of going to every state - I just want to see and experience my country and all the unique characteristics of it!

How are you feeling:
Starting to feel really tired again. Hip/pelvic pain. Starting to feel really big.

Rant: My 2yo DD keeps pooping in the bathtub. Only her 3rd bath in the new tub and she pooped in it last night. It freaks her out too when she sees it and screams/cries to get out.
Rave: The bathroom remodel is mostly done! I just need to paint and hang the hardware.

DH and I want to go to every MLB ballpark. Before DD we would do a trip every year and go to a few parks. That's been put on hold so after the kids are a bit older we'll start that back up.

How are you feeling: Good! I am feeling pretty regular movement now, which is reassuring after feeling less movement earlier on due to anterior placenta.

Rants/Raves: We have a decent list of both boy and girl name options! We haven't started narrowing it down yet, but I'm pleased to have so many choices this early on!

@bearmomma1 we are the same with NFL stadiums! This year was supposed to be Las Vegas but pregnancy & Covid 🤷🏼‍♀️ We also plan on including the babe once she’s a little older! 👌🏻👌🏻

@bearmomma1 we do the same with MLB stadiums. I used to travel for work quite a bit and was able to hit quite a few, as a result I'm ahead of DH haha. DH is a big Orioles fan, so we try to follow the team for stadiums we haven't been to yet.

How are you feeling: tired (middle of the night wake-ups) but otherwise great! Feeling lots of movement these days, and my lower back pain has been easing up

Rants/Raves:
Rave - the other family in my quaran-team came over for brunch on Sunday. It was so nice to have adult conversation, and seeing DD play with their 2 year old made me very hopeful for the future

Upcoming appointments: sometime in early September my regular ob

How are you feeling: good!

Rants/Raves: I can feel “kicks” more- based on the anatomy scan it’s most likely still his head hitting by bladder which sucks bc I have to pee more often but I still love to feel them 💕

Questions: no questions but on the snoo topic- we won’t get one to start off. We will get a regular bassinet, the baby will wake to eat or if he wants a new diaper. If it starts becoming an issue that he is just waking up to wake up then we will try the snoo otherwise I’d rather wake up with him to fix whatever he needs. Also there is a new 4moms bassinet that seems similar to the snoo but not the same expensive price tag.
