The air wick plugins my H got from the store. They are SO STRONG!! I unplugged the one he put in and found that oil had spilled out and now the smell is stuck on my hand. I might have to sit outside today, even though it’s going to be almost 100 🤢

DH and I decided to go to Buy Buy Baby just to look at some of the last items we needed for the registry early Sunday morning. We were looking at the travel system we had picked out and we're having trouble reconnecting the stroller and car seat. The salesperson came over to help. He told us basically that the one we picked out was a piece of crap and would break in a year if we used it outside at all. He then was helpful and able to recommend another one that was $200 dollars MORE! He then just happened to be wherever we were with "helpful" suggestions.
In other news, my friend says she has used the stroller we wanted every day for five years and she walks her dog twice a day outside. She has never had an issue and it comes highly recommended by every list there is.
Cigna - we moved 2.5 years ago but they randomly started addressing things to our old address again. I've asked them repeatedly to update the address and they claim it's correct. But every freaking EOB has the wrong address on it. I do paperless, so I don't actually think anything has been mailed out - but it's really frustrating. I threatened a HIPAA complaint today, hoping that gets results.
@dobiemom11 that's really irritating. Even if he wanted to upsell you - there are better ways to do it than insult what you've already picked out!
Hubs employer. His plant generally works on a rotating schedule which can be complicated to plan around any way...
"What day of the week works for you?" - It depends on the week 🤷♀️
But now his work schedule is changing constantly due to being "bumped" by people with more seniority or changes to accomodate training or wtf ever else. Seriously, it's basically week to week at this point. Which is a nightmare scheduling and rescheduling everything. OB, vet, kids appointments, meetings, even grocery shopping so we don't run out of milk.
He spent the first week of August on a normal M-F schedule, the second week "rotating" on night shift (6p -6a), this week "rotating" on day shift, next week back to a M-F. He also only finds out on Friday what his schedule will be starting Sunday.
We have no what is schedule will be as of Labor Day. It's worse than any retail or restaurant schedule I've ever had. And creeping up on 3rd tri means more appointments so this will be a freakin blast 🙄
@bearmomma1 I can't handle those things either. We put a couple in our old house when we listed it/had showings and after 30 minutes I had to take them out. We haven't used them since. Even in the cabinet at the new house they are super strong.
DH is a bit of one right now. I asked him earlier today to please do the dishes. It involved emptying and reloading the dishwasher (we both forgot there was clean stuff in there), and then hand washing things that don’t go in there. It’s now 2:20am and I ended up doing it myself because he’s too busy watching anime on Hulu 😒 I left a couple of things to soak and asked him to take care of them before coming to bed.
I ordinarily would just leave it for tomorrow, but I’ve invited a few close friends (whom we trust regarding the virus and precautions) to come over for a surprise birthday party for him when he gets off work, so I have cooking to do and a cake to make and I just really didn’t want to deal with that on top of it. He knows I’m making cake and a special dinner, but he has no idea about our friends coming by. This is actually the longest I’ve ever successfully kept a surprise from him.
I'm the twat waffle. Yesterday I spray painted a new bedframe for my girls and I only bought 1 can of spray paint, so dh had to go get 2 more right before he went for work, and I had to go get a 4th while he was at work (he works at the hardware store). He just kept asking why I only bought one and if I was sure the additional paint was enough. Also I sold an old bedframe on fb marketplace and forgot to add the nightstand, i've listed it seperate now, but no one wants it alone.
@dreamscapes_. Oh DH!! I threw a surprise party for my husband a few years ago. We were supposed to meet some friends at a bar. He wanted to go to the escape room next to the bar and was very frustrated with me that I wouldn't let him and the friends go there and then go to the bar. I was like...I have been planning for 3 months to have 40 out of town guests come to this bar at this specific time!! When he got there, it took him like 5 minutes to realize that he knew everyone in the room!
Hopefully yours goes well and everyone has a nice time. Whatcha cooking?
@dreamscapes_ we have this argument all of the time! So, I timed myself unloading the dishwasher, reloading the dishwasher and hand washing from making dinner. It took me 6.5 minutes to do everything. I’ll use this factoid next time DH tells me he can’t or doesn’t have time. It’s 6 minutes of your day to deal with an entire days dishes! Just do it, lol.
@dobiemom11 I made spaghetti with homemade meatballs, and he asked for a strawberry cake with dark chocolate buttercream. Everyone just headed home, and it was a very low key thing. We had dinner and cake and sat around chatting and listening to Pandora. He was so surprised when he got home, which made me very happy 😊
@shelmcclel he did agree to do the few dishes that are left from our little get together tonight 🤣 there isn’t a lot, since I like to clean as I go when I’m doing a big cook. I also purposely used disposable plates, cutlery, and cups to make it easier.
He’s a five year old tuxie who’s a complete lover. We adopted him just a few weeks before all the quarantines started. See the logo on the bed? It’s a Kong. They make those for dogs. Not cats. This sweet baby weighs 20lbs and doesn’t fit in standard cat beds. We even had to get him a heavy duty tree from Chewy.
GUESS WHO DECIDED TO CURL UP ON MY BUMP WHILE I’M TRYING TO SLEEP.
He’s such a good cat, but omg. That was not comfortable and I think he actually stepped on the baby, because the baby kicked back. So Broadway is a bit of a twatwaffle right now.
