Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Thursday 8.13

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Re: TWW Thursday 8.13

  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD/DPO: 23/6 (FF changed my ovulation to one day earlier as of this morning, but I know my body and FF is lying)

    Timing: -3, -1

    Typical LP length: unknown

Testing: Will start this weekend around 8 or 9 DPO

R/R: Still working on this darn presentation, and people keep trying to schedule me in meetings when I am already booked.  I don’t know how anyone does their job effectively if they spend 80% of their day, every day, in meetings.  I won’t do it.

CS/Q: My BBT keeps rising and I am hopeful.  Does anyone else get super excited to chart their BBT every morning?  I am a nerd and I love getting a new data point every day. 😂

  • Loading the player...
  • @BuckeyeNut05 yessss for that temp rise! I’m a nerd too and love seeing the new data points. Gl on your presentation with all of those meetings! I don’t know how to do it either without working all day long, which is annoying and not ok.

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD/DPO: 31/9

    Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 13-14

    Testing: not yet

R/R: I’ve been getting a lot of cleaning done the last couple of days and it feels great! Going to keep the trend going today.

    CS/Q: Temp’s back up!

  • @fameonmain2 yeah for the temp being back up and for a clean house! FX you get your BFP once you start testing.
  • @BuckeyeNut05 meetings are my life so I totally get how you’re feeling. I actually have to block off my calendar with “heads down” calendar entries so that I can get some actual work done. I 💯 share the feelings around rising temps.

@fameonmain2 I wish I could be that productive when it comes to cleaning! DH and I both use the excuse of having other ppl over in order to clean, and, well, that hasn’t exactly been happening lately.

    Month/Cycle: 7/7

    CD/DPO: 23/3

    Timing: -4, -2, O

Typical LP length: I have LPD, so it varies and generally is too short. Starting progesterone suppositories today.

Testing: maybe on 8/20 which is the date of our RE follow-up appointment to discuss next steps. But that would only be 9DPO and I’m not yet sure I’ll want to waste a test so early.

R/R: rant — I finished Whole30 on Tuesday and yesterday decided to have 2 glasses of wine to “celebrate” and oh man I’m paying for it now. Slept very poorly and have a mega headache this morning (although Tylenol is helping). But holy cow I’ve become a light weight when it comes to drinking... 2 glasses!!! Argh. I’m writing myself a note with current symptoms to go back to next time I decide to have more than 1  glass of wine.

CS/Q: temp bump this morning but the wine is probably partially responsible.

  • @buckeyenut05 your chat looks great! and yes i wake up to temp and analyze it for a while

@fameonmain2 nice temp spike! and good job on the cleaning, i need to get on that too

@acleverusername congrats on finishing whole30! and ilove your idea to remind yourself of what the second glass does to you.  i should do that...

    Month/Cycle: 8/7 since loss

CD/DPO: 24/8 (im just going with FF at this point)

    Timing: -3,0

    Typical LP length: 11

Testing: cant! lol maybe if AF doesn't arrive by Tuesday ill go out and buy one

R/R: hoping to catch up on things around the house today because i might have a slight work lull this afternoon.  fingers crossed!

    CS/Q:

  • posting again to add i got my bloodwork back and what should have been 7DPO yesterday (according to FF) or 9DPO (according to premom), my progesterone was at 4.38.  I am going back tomorrow to get it retested.

is it weird that i feel slightly vindicated that the level is so low?

Pretty sure I'm over here now!

@BuckeyeNut05 I'd be fine with 1.... maybe 2 days a week that would be all day meetings. After that it's just like, how do you get anything done?? And forget about trying to focus on anything when you have a half hour break between meetings. I'm always a fan of the BBT rise. I also just love when every temp is a steady up or down from the last so there's no mountains

@fameonmain2 please share some of your cleaning mojo  :D I look at so much stuff around our house like "I should sweep/clean/wipe that" and never do it.

@acleverusername I've given up on drinking lol congrats on finishing Whole30!

@asf0613 that's no good for progesterone  :/ I'd feel vindicated too!

    Month/Cycle: 38/27

    CD/DPO: 17/1

Timing: -3,-1,0 - going to work on getting +1 in today too

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: next Saturday, 8/22, at 10dpo

R/R: I'm both terrified and excited to be in the TWW. Just glad DH and I have been in good moods and on good terms the last few days so getting our timing in hasn't felt like too much of a chore. Bring on the May Hype!!!

CS/Q: got my temp bump this morning and yesterday evening I had a bunch of pains on my left side (and a little on the right) so yesterday most definitely was O day

  • @inthewoods23 damn girl, you got some good timing in! FX for you this TWW
  • @acleverusername writing that note to yourself is brilliant! I also wake up feeling horrible whenever I have more than one glass of wine, though I’m not very good at remembering that as I’m pouring the second!

@asf0613 glad you got your test results but now that your progesterone is low. I’m not familiar with what the number should be - how low are your results compared to “normal”?

@inthewoods23 sending cleaning mojo your way!! Love that getting in your timing didn’t feel like a chore this cycle - fx it’s a good sign!
  • @asf0613 technically that -3 was at like, 12:30 AM that day because we hadn't gone to bed yet on CD12 and I have to mark things as true as possible lol

  • @BuckeyeNut05 ugh, meetings. Sometimes I just want to eat my lunch in peace! Your chart looks great! I don't temp anymore, but bravo to everyone who does it! FX that it leads to good things.

@fameonmain2 yes to cleaning! Cleaning always gives me such a sense of accomplishment.

@acleverusername ouch! I'm glad the tylenol is helping. The note to yourself is such a good idea!

@asf0613 did you have any reason to suspect low progesterone previously? I hope you get some answers and a plan for moving forward.

@inthewoods23 yay, glad to see you here! That is some awesome timing!

  • @BuckeyeNut05 *raises hand* I love data! I find is is actually keeping me calmer to feel like I'm doing something. Even if it has no actual impact upon TTC.

@fameonmain2 Yay cleaning! So nice to get the house clean! And go temp go!

@acleverusername sorry you are feeling so crummy today.

@asf0613 I hope you got things done during your lull! Hopefully, these tests help get you more answers.

CS/Q: It's a mess. I think my best bet will be to start a new cycle and invest in OPKs. My doctor suggested getting OPKs from Amazon at my appointment next week. Anyone have a favorite brand?

  • @DoubleUp8 yay for lake time! I've been using the pregmate brand, and I really like them. I've found them to be more consistent than some of the others.
  • @bbrahmbhatt hope the busy day does go fast!

@DoubleUp8 I currently use the Pregmate OPKs. I've also used Wondfos in the past. I like the Pregmate ones more because it's a wider strip so they're easier to read and easier to hold. A box of 50 is only $15 or so!

  • @doubleup8 definitely pregmate ones and i enter on the premom app.  ive used mom-med but theyre a lot skinnier and somehow that bothers me
@bbrahmblatt my LP has been hovering aorund 11 days and dr google told me it could mean low progesterone.  i wasnt even going to bring it up to my doc (didnt want to be that guy) but i decided i needed to advocate for myself, hence the vindication.
@fameonmain2 anywhere i look for 7DPO says at least 10 is good?  i haven't actually spoken with my doctor yet, just the tech who said doc requested running it again tomorrow.  i suppose once those results come back, she and i will talk.
  • @bbrahmbhatt fx busy day means smooth weekend!

@DoubleUp8 gl with your presentation! Lake time sounds amazing!
  • @asf0613 good for you for self-advocating, and it seems to have paid off! I asked for my first one too, since my LP is only 11-12 days, but it's been normal both times. I didn't realize that Clomid would increase progesterone, which is kind of weird.
  • Well today was one of those days; only getting the chance to catch up now.

@asf0613 I hope you had an easy work day, and got caught up around the house. I've written that note. Let's see if it works now. Also, 4.7 for progesterone is hella low! It should be at least 10, though over 3 confirms ovulation. So yeah, definitely be vindicated.

@inthewoods23 Welcome to the TWW party! I'm glad things have been going smoothly with YH over the past couple of days and that your FW season was fruitful. I've been meaning to ask... what is "May Hype"? Also re: alcohol... you're smarter than me; I'm sure I'll learn my lesson one day soon.

@bbrahmbhatt FX that the weekend does go smoothly. How are your post-Clomid symptoms?
