Re: Win/Wine/Whine Wednesday 8.12
2) Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)? The current favorite beverage is high noon seltzers, but they are becoming nearly impossible to find! We have been to so many liquor stores and finally found some yesterday. Limited flavors, but still exciting!
3) Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now? I’ve been very whiny at home about my cycle! I think I’m starting to make DH anxious, or at the very least I’m sure he’s getting sick of me. It seems like such a lame thing to put here but it’s definitely my least favorite thing about life right now. My RE’s office prescribed me a 5 day dose of Provera today, so hopefully I’ll get my period at some point before August is over.
1) Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had recently? Bought a couch (loveseat, really) over the weekend. We've been putting it off since we moved in March, since we wanted to be able to test/sit on it first, which ruled out our usual online shops, so neither one of us was thrilled at the idea of a long, expensive process of searching through various furniture stores. It actually wasn't as painful as expected, found something we liked in the first store we tried and just went with it (we're never this decisive).
2) Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)? It varies by mood/season, but if it's been a bad day it's usually something strong (i.e. scotch when it's cold out, martini otherwise). Right now I'm feeling a whiskey sour, I was all about them this spring and think I've nailed how I like it.
3) Whine - What's your least favorite thing about life right now? Not the least favorite, since I don't really want to beat a dead horse on that one, but my kayaking session today was just cancelled
At least this means I won't get trapped on the river in the middle of a thunderstorm again...that wasn't the best of ideas.
Win--I just had my CD21 labs drawn, and the results came back pretty good. My progesterone level is 24.1, which according to my research indicates that I ovulated! Yay!!
Wine--I've been pretty boring with my choice of bevvies...we've been doing Soave and Rose all summer and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT.
Whine--I've been having some pretty severe mood swings for the last few days. I've been weepy, then raging, then upbeat. The wild swings have me a little whiny on top of it. It's probably Clomid-related, which means I have several more months of this. Boooo. Oh, and our internet has been out from the storm, so I can't workout, despite getting up at 5 this morning.
Wine:I had my last glass of rose on Sunday, so it's going to be flavored seltzer for me until after my ER. I just bought some watermelon seltzer that I am excited about, and Trader Joe's has both sparking strawberry and watermelon juice which are yummy.
Whine: There are too few teaching jobs available in my area!
Wine: Chartreuse on the rocks. It has been that kind of week already and it is only Wednesday.
Whine: Annoyed at my MFM clinic for not giving me results. I looked up the call schedule and I can see that my doctor is on vacation, so the logical part of my brain knows that they can't give me results, but I don't feel like being logical. I feel like whining.
@emeraldduchess Yay AF! Took her damn time.
@bbrahmbhatt Go ovaries!
@akoros I am with you, when it has been a bad day, I go for the hard stuff. More to the point? (see: chartreuse, above)
@runningoncookies Yay that working out makes you feel better!

Win - I'm stupidly excited about positive OPKs 😃
Wine - sometimes I just really love a Pepsi
Whine - not being KU right now. Also DH doing nothing but working on his darn 3D printer while he's on furlough. Please work on the house sir.
