How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Good! Started clearing out the guest room to start working on the nursery this week. The crib is supposed to get delivered next week and I found the changing table I wanted on facebook marketplace for $40! It needs to be cleaned up and given a fresh coat of paint, but I enjoy projects like that! DH is a lineman, and is getting sent out of state for the next week to help with storm restoration. Hoping to work on the changing table and on an art piece for the nursery while he's out of town to keep me busy!
Questions? I posted this is in the BTDT thread - but is anyone planning on getting a rocker and not a glider? I just don't like the recliner option that comes on the glider and I feel like it's not worth spending the extra $450 on it just so it glides instead of rocks...
Upcoming Appointments? Sometime in the next two weeks we will be meeting with a specialist. The baby has an arrythemia, so they want to do more testing.
Cravings/Symptoms? Still not much of anything...but the cookie GTKY was causing some feelings. I am glad I can't just pop over to the store and go browsing the aisle.

Just a little nervous after our A/S. The Dr wasn't worried, but I am worried and feeling the mom guilt! It kinda tempered our excitement over finding out we are having a boy and then sharing that news with everyone. It is probably nothing, but I will likely wallow today and then get my butt back in gear tomorrow. My mom freaked out and panicked called the doctors in our family (one who is a cardiac neonatalist) without all the information. That just made us more anxious I think!
@feather_heather. Yay for nursery plans. What art piece are you working on? I miss being creative (although I am more a paint by number kinda girl). Thanks to your DH. I have a lot of family without power and we all appreciate the help!
I haven't gotten as far as the rocker/glider question, but $450 seems like a lot for a feature you are not particularly interested in. So my two cents would be to just for the rocker, but never have been a mom before, I can't speak to the advantages of one over the other. (My practical brain is just thinking there are a lot of other things I could spend the money on.). Hopefully the BTDT moms will have more experienced thoughts.
I found this potterybarn artwork that is no longer available and sold out everywhere (even on ebay) that i'm going to try to re-create. I'm planning on painting the canvas the same greige color as the bedroom walls and then paint the rabbit in white. I haven't painted in years, so i'm a tad rusty, but hoping I can come up with something I like!
Fingers crossed for Thursday's specialist appointment. They are planning an u/s, possibly a fetal echo and then bloodwork.
@dobiemom11 I’m Sorry about the news finding out anything isn’t perfectly healthy is scary. Fingers crossed it’s something that’ll resolve itself as he develops! But yay for team boy!!!!

I still feel like TTGP was a lifetime ago and I’m so grateful I am here. Anyone else enjoying that they are here but also worried whether or not their TTGP journey will be just as difficult if they want another baby?
