@inthewoods23 The question of whether or not someone can be reinfected hasn't really been answered. As far as I am aware, there haven't been any well proven cases of reinfection. @bbrahmbhatt If you just want to know if you have been infected previously, it is usually pretty simple to get the antibody test. It can't prove that you are immune at this point, but it is a simple test if you just want to know.

@bows22 Yes, she has been tested and the test will take a few days. For now, we are all just on symptom watch but still at work. Ironically (since we tell our patients to quarantine if they have a close exposure) the policy at our hospital is to just keep working until we get it. So I don't get to do a fun home quarantine. Boo.

@chindimples04 I forget (already 😆), are you full time in the classroom or some virtual? It sounds like our district gave an either/or option for the students. You can't do a hybrid and can only change when the semester ends so you can't decide a month from now that you'd rather be taught virtually instead of in classroom. Seems silly because how are you affected if you go in to school and get sick vs a kid that's virtual full time?

@fitzfizz yay half day! I clearly don't try to read too much coronavirus news because I've seen reports of people getting reinfected but I'm sure it could be false positives at play or something

R/R: I have this knot in my shoulder and shoulder blade that will just not go away 😠 and starting last night I've had a nasty stomach ache that still persists this morning. I felt like puking last night. Thank God I'm in the WTO or else I'd be like mAyBe ItS pReGnAnCy

CS/Q: I seem to always have a slight mountain towards the end of AF. At least it also happened last cycle

@inthewoods23 kids can opt for virtual or in person. We have a COVID compass that changes based on infection rates, deaths, community spread vs close contact and other things. If we move to high or severe, we will be part of full virtual. If we stay at moderate or low, we are fu in person, moderate with masks and social distancing. We are moderate now. I can apply to teach virtually but haven’t made that decision yet.

Thats an interesting plan for your district, at least it leaves in some flexibility. The board meeting for MH's district is tonight, so we'll see what happens with them.

@fitzfizz yay for craft supplies! Are you working on your holiday cards? Yeah, our hospital is doing antibody testing, but the positive rate is less than our community COVID positivity rate, so most people aren't putting much stock into it.

@inthewoods23 I'm so excited for you and for your 2nd opinion! I hope they are able to give you some new insights. Haha I know what you mean! I always tell myself not to symptom spot, but then I'll feel nauseous or something and be like "ooh maybe...let me overthink it and google it again". Oi vey.

R/R: It's ovulation day! I finally got a positive OPK yesterday, and I have some R-sided ovulation pain and headache today, which I usually get on O day. I still ovulated in my normal window, so I guess the OB was off, oh well. I'll move over to TWW tomorrow, but you'll probably see me lurkin.

CS/Q: I really wish I could remember to temp, or not have to get up and pee like an hour before the alarm goes off.

WAYDTGKU: temping, OPKs, getting some basic tests done

R/R: Had my CD3 blood work this morning. Results on my CD21/CD29 (had it done twice because I knew I didn't ovulate until CD20 last cycle) came back mostly normal (I thought), though I was low within the range/just slightly out of range for LH/FSH. However, my doctor just messaged me to say she believes I'm not ovulating, so I'm confused and upset about that. She said she wants to see me ASAP to talk about next steps, but I just called the office and she doesn't have any availability until the end of September. I'm going to go crazy if I have to wait almost two months to get any answers. Anyone have any idea why she might be jumping straight to "not ovulating" if my results were almost all within the range of what's considered "normal"?

@chindimples04 when do you need to make a decision virtual / in-person? I just don't see how it's possible to socially-distance kids. I also wonder what long-term psychological affects that might cause them. A child's mind is so impressionable.

@inthewoods23 I hope you'll feel better soon; any kind of sickness during the pandemic has me questioninin if I have it. And since we're talking COVID reinfection, it's not this specifically, but just yesterday I was driving and heard a woman on the radio who had COVID in November (she's an Uber-driver) saying that her health since that happened has been shit: worsening lung capacity, vision issues, concentration troubles. So, yeah... I really don't want to get it.

WAYDTGKU: HIO, bbt, OPKs, CM, PNVs, Ubiquinol, melatonin, seed cycling, myo-inositol/d-chiro-inositol. Medical testing this cycle: HSG and more blood tests for my DH and I to complete our infertility panel.

R/R: I had an appointment with an osteopath yesterday and it was excellent. I do think there's a bit of voodoo element when it comes to fertility acupuncture and osteopathy (mostly because I'm scientifically minded and it's hard to perform studies on these treatments given their individuality), but there is some research showing that both help with infertility. Yesterday's session was focused on getting my spine and sacrum aligned, but she did say my uterus was out of place as well (and that she wasn't surprised that we haven't been successful in conceiving to date). Anyhow, I'm hopeful this will help along with everything else we're doing!

CM is currently very cloudy/watery and OPKs are very negative; I think it'll be at least a few more days of same. Blergh.

We’re planning on doing a few updates to the house before we move in- character and paint wise. So I’ve been surfing a lot of Pinterest. It’s too bad there is a pandemic going on, or id be spending too much money shopping for the new house 😂. Anyway, still waiting for O. I think I’m ovulating on my tubeless side this cycle. Fx our efforts are worth it!

@chindimples04 a few weeks ago they finally did a graduation ceremony for the seniors at the high school and apparently only a handful of kids were wearing masks and were getting MADE FUN OF for it. I really hope the in school learning doesn't turn into a shit show.

@acleverusername DH got sick back in March after a trip and then I had similar symptoms about 2 weeks later so we kind of wondered if maybe we had gotten it back then and had mild cold like symptoms. Neither of us had fevers or shortness of breath though which seem to be the 2 biggest symptoms so maybe it was just a cold. Never got tested so we have no idea. I'm just keeping my outside exposure to a minimum to be safe! What makes a uterus out of place??

@photographerwife looking at Pinterest, I'd either get really expensive remodels or it would be DIY projects that are much more time and effort than I would ever want to spend on a project

@fameonmain2 stress can definitely impact the cycle, but... are your cycles normally pretty consistent?
@the_most_happy what was your progesterone #'s? That number is really what can confirm ovulation, and if it's over 3, than it means you've ovulated. There's something called "weak ovulation" which is a bit of mysterious concept but basically means your corpus luteum doesn't produce enough progesterone to support implantation. In any case, you might want to try using Proov strips, at home progesterone strips, that could help you confirm ovulation. Also, what's your luteal phase length?
@photographerwife Oooo renos! Both exciting and exhausting. At least you're saving money w/ the pandemic happening. I find that's been a pretty nice side-effect of the quarantine.
@gusgus14 I hear ya; I was doing really well at the beginning of the pandemic then towards end of May totally fell off the wagon; trying to get back into it, but holy hell that requires a lot of willpower.
@inthewoods23 have you considered anti-body test to check? according to https://www.osteogoodhealth.com/blog/osteopathic-treatment-fertility/, pelvic bone misalignment could cause the uterus to be out of place. And it's not hard to believe that my pelvic bone was out of sorts considering how bent up my spine was. Also, I've had chiropractors tell me that one of my legs is ever-so-slightly shorter than the other, which causes pelvic bone to be out of sorts. Freaking body....

@acleverusername okay thank you so much for this info because what you said is exactly what I thought, which is part of why I'm so confused! And I actually did use Proov strips this past cycle, and got positives (no second line whatsoever) every single day, days 7-10 past ovulation. My blood test number (at 9 DPO) was 6.7, and my luteal phase length is 14 days. So I really thought all of that meant I ovulated! Could 6.7 point to the "weak ovulation" thing you described?

@gusgus14 I am currently on the bump while procrastinating about going running, so you are not alone. I am super out of shape right now and it is depressing how much less fun it is to work out when you aren't good at it. I hope your motivation improves!

CS/Q: im just hangin here till i get CH. my opks are a little wonky and i f'd up my temping the ONE day it matters, so unsure when O is/was. peak registering as yesterday but the lines the day before looked the same so im either +1 or +2 right now. no luck with HIO this cycle more than once, but will try tonight just to potentially get a +1 in (if it is even).

@fitzfizz we have a few of those little ball massager things. I think you can both heat or chill them. That's been working okay if I can get it to roll over the right spot. We have a foam roller too but I think that might be too large for my needs right now.

@asf0613 not anymore. The opinion we were going to get from the doc used by DH's coworker is at a medical group that my insurance doesn't cover. I feel like they used to, but maybe that changed in 2020. Maybe with today having that temp dip today that O is actually today so you can get a 0 in instead of +1!

Daycare just shut down today because one of the kids is being tested. I can’t rely on that for DD. I need a place for her to go when I’m working if I were in building.

@the_most_happy that seems like a really drastic jump of a conclusion. I have no answers or ideas, but I hope you can get it ASAP and not two months from now.
@gusgus14 I have zero motivation to work our ever. Like....none. 🤣 So, your thinking of it is farther ahead than I’ll ever be.

@asf0613 I messed up timing last cycle with temping on the days confirming o, too. 🙄 I was so mad at myself! Hopefully you get a clear shift regardless!

@acleverusername I sometimes spot very lightly the day before AF comes, but nothing more than that (and sometimes no spotting at all). What did your doctor say when you got that result? I'm curious what my next steps will be (especially if I can't see my doctor for another two months!).

@asf0613 I don't think DH is totally on board with the 2nd opinion. I think he's willing to go with it if it makes me happy. Like, I don't think he wants to go through another SA and all that jazz since he's been on the multivitamin and CoQ10 for 4+ months. I don't know why he doesn't want to even find out how well it's working! I wonder though, if they think we can get away with doing letrozole and TI or IUI, would DH be willing to do that with this new RE or if he'd want to go back to our original RE. I really wonder how well that conversation would go with them anyway. Idk, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

@the_most_happy I've been off hormonal bc (IUD) since December and at first, I was only spotting 1 day before AF (very lightly... like an ever-so-light shade of not-white on TP) and didn't think much of it. But the last 2 cycles (so 5 months after I've been off BCP), I've been having many more days of spotting leading up to AF So, OB / RE both recommended progesterone suppositories, but in different dosages and starting at different points during my LP. Either way, I definitely have luteal phase defect and "weak ovulation" (I hate using that term since it's not a medical term!) is a cause. I'm currently reading a very long and very technical research paper on luteal phase defect and will share anything interesting I've learned.

@acleverusername I've never been to an osteopath before, but it sounds like you had a great appointment. I'm interested in what you find on LP defect! My cycles were pretty consistent before BC, but I'm just off a few months, so my body might still be regulating...

@photographerwife @inthewoods23 we added on a master suite -- it's almost done. We've had to move so much furniture around as we're also redoing the adjoining room, so I'm excited just to get everything back in order.

Question on tracking temp... how basically? Does anyone use just a normal digital thermometer? I know from what I read it’s not as accurate, but is it better than nothing or just useless information?

@sienna221 you just need a thermometer that measures in tenth of degrees. If your digital one does that, you can probably get by. That said, you can get a special bbt thermometer relatively inexpensively and some of these have built-in memory which means you don't have to write down your temp as soon as you take it; the device will store it for you for later recall. I have a Premom bbt thermometer and it connects to the Premom app via bluetooth, so I don't even have to enter my bbt into an app; it's done for me.

*lurking while my cycle figures itself out* @sienna221 Pretty much everything @acleverusername said. With my first cycle I just used my digital thermometer. BBTs -are- inexpensive but I would definitely say something is better than nothing in terms of your digital thermometer. Don't switch temping methods mid-cycle (vaginal/oral), don't switch thermometers mid-cycle, and as best as you can try to keep temp times and your sleeping situation (how many blankets, fan/no fan, room temp, etc.) as consistent as you can. Easier said than done, but all of this will help with accuracy. You may find that your fluctuations between your pre and post O temps are so obvious that you really don't need to worry about some of that, but you won't really know until you track a few cycles. I've gotten BBTs from iProven and Femometer on Amazon and loved them both equally. The up-side to my femometer is automatic information tracking in the app.
