I'm finally in the market for a water bottle. ?I'm thinking about one of these two since they're both available at Whole Foods and I wouldn't have to pay shipping.
My last water bottle had a terrible metallic taste so I'm hoping to avoid that this time (I ended up recycling it).
?TIA!?
Re: Sigg or Klean Kanteen?

I don't trust sigg at this point. I used to want one and I even bought like 5 (!!!!!!!!!!) but then returned it after I found some internet reviews with a lot of aprehension. Basically Sigg won't reveal what their liner is made of, which concerns me. I am not saying it is evil but I want to know what is holding my water.
Given those two choices, I would pick KK (but it is made in china).
You might want to check out "camelbak" bottles which are bpa free, have fun colors, and even come small enough for your lil one 1/2L or big enough for an adult up to 1L size. I do not know where the camelbak bottle is made, but you can buy them at REI stores, Moosejaw stores, or Amazon.com
yeah, I've read that stuff.
BOO.
I keep it because it's cute, but DH's KK is nice too. I end up with it a lot because he uses his re-usable coffee mug all day long
I have one of each, and I prefer the Klean Kanteen. I have a beautiful purple Sigg, and although it is lovely, I don't like that it can't go in the dishwasher and that the mouth of the bottle is narrow. The KK can go in the dishwasher and is a nice, wide-mouthed bottle. Also, because the KK doesn't have any kind of plastic liner, I use it for beverages other than water without being concerned about that taste sticking around.
Just my opinion...HTH!

For the other posters, I link to this in my blog, but I'll just post the letter here, too. It is from Sigg and is about liner concerns:
