R/R: I pretty much finished my list yesterday! The problem is that new stuff always comes up to throw me off. So I have some random extra things that I had to add today. Also today we have an obedience trainer coming to our house to help us with our dog. He’s pretty well behaved but we don’t really know what we are doing so we want to make sure we are on track. We actually booked this back when we got him but the wait list was so long so hopefully he’s good! I’m a little stressed about it because it may storm while he’s supposed to be here so I don’t know if we will be able to stay outside but we will wear masks and hopefully it will be fine.

R/R: We have been seeing a huge spike in COVID cases, and my medical assistant woke up with fever today. My risk of getting COVID in the next few days seems relatively high, which in some ways is annoying, but when I think about it I would much rather get it now than if I am KU. I am certainly not trying to get exposed, but at this point it seems inevitable I will get it and I have reached the point of really not caring anymore.

CS/Q: Still a flat line of pre-O temps. Nothing exciting.

@bows22 One on one with someone wearing a mask sounds like it should be fine. I hope everything goes well!

@fitzfizz I can never decide if I'd rather just get it and be done with it, but at the same time it sounds like we aren't forever immune from it?

R/R: well apparently DH is the favorite right now for my cat. She hopped up on his lap while he was in a Teams meeting she did lay on me in bed last night/this morning though so I'll take it! My coworker is off again today so hopefully it stays a chill day. It was really quiet yesterday for us and usually that means the next day is a little hectic so we'll see. I think I'm making my awesome italian beef recipe for the slow cooker today, but I better check with DH that it's what he wants to do. Will have to remember to post a pic in the cooking thread!

CS/Q: Did I ever post my chart yesterday? haha. Maybe I'll get around to it today.

@fitzfizz I feel the same way. I had all the symptoms except fever back in March, but I couldn't get tested because I was young and afebrile. I hope that I did actually have it then, but who knows.

@inthewoods23 italian beef sounds AMAZING! Could you share the recipe with the pics?

@bows22 well done getting through your Monday list! Hopefully the rest of the week is just as proactive so you can take advantage of your week off next week! Good luck with the obedience trainer. What kind of dog do you have? How old?

@fitzfizz I was floored by your story yesterday about giving positive news to a patient who was at a party of "young people". Seriously WTF. And I totally understand your sentiment re: getting COVID. I made a comment to a friend about 2 weeks ago that went like "At this point, it seems likely that the decision of whether or not I get COVID will be made for me." And yeah, better get it before we're all KU'ed. But I still really don't want to get it.

@inthewoods23 Overall, who's your cat's favorite? It does feel great when pets choose you over your partner though. Haha. It's like "YES! I WIN" even though really, what do you win... cat/dog hair? Hopefully you'll have another quiet day.

@bbrahmbhatt Yay for EWCM! Hopefully you'll get that peak ASAP. Do you normally have a rapid surge of LH or gradual?

WAYDTGKU: HIO, bbt, OPKs, CM, PNVs, Ubiquinol, melatonin, seed cycling, myo-inositol/d-chiro-inositol. Also ordered Vitamin D as mine is on the lower end. Medical testing this cycle: HSG and more blood tests for my DH and I to complete our infertility panel. Also a pelvic ultrasound(?).

R/R: Upon the advice of my fertility acupuncturist, I'm going to see an osteopath today, for my Hashimoto's. I've read up a bit on this, and it seems like it could help. Unfortunately, like acupuncture, osteopathy isn't very well researched and in fact cannot be since treatment is very individual so this, once again, goes into my bucket of "things that can't hurt" with TTC.

rant -- very little mucus & consistently negative OPKs, so I have a feeling this is going to be a long(er) cycle. Last month I O's on CD15.

CS/Q: How do you guys check your CM? I do like a "cervix sweep" but I'm wondering if others are just looking at toilet paper. As for bbt, I was aiming for consistency like that of @runningoncookies 😆but had a bit of an upswing today.

@bbrahmbhatt yes absolutely! This is one of the perks of WFH these days. My slow cooker settings are all manual so I can't set it up early in the morning and have it switch to keep warm for a couple hours automatically before we get home. Now I can just start making stuff in the middle of the day! Is your OPK close to positive at least?

@acleverusername haha I think it depends. I'm the one that feeds her and cleans her litter box, but DH maybe plays with her a little more and does more brushing than I do. She definitely cuddles with me the most, but she goes through periods of cuddling DH. My mucus check has always just been based on what's in my undies but I know that's really dependent on how much I'm producing *shrug*. However, my cervix is pretty high so I can't really even reach it.

@fitzfizz It amazes me how stupid people are about covid. It’s not going away, so let’s protect ourselves and others.

@inthewoods23 I dislike when I am the dogs favorite at night. They take over the entire bed and leave me with a sliver. 🤣

@chindimples04 sorry for CD1! AF got me a day early too! Sometimes my cat is all across my legs and it gets too warm! Yesterday evening I was on the couch and she was between my legs with her head, basically on my uterus/bladder. I was most definitely thinking she was putting some magic juju on my uterus with her purring haha

@fitzfizz I have also been wondering if it’s better to just get it now while there is definitely still room at hospitals if I would need it. But regardless, I hope you dodge it this time. I assume your MA will be tested?

@acleverusername I just look at toilet paper but (TMI?) I get a ton of CM. But maybe people who get less need to “go in” to get it? Our dog is a medium sized shepherd/hound mix, he’s 8 months old but was about 6 months old when we got him. He’s remarkably well behaved for still being a puppy but we want to avoid bad habits!

@chindimples04 ugh I’m so sorry to see you back here.❤️ Enjoy that brand new classroom though! And yes I was definitely surprised at the cost. We are just doing one session for now and then playing it by ear. Once you do one session then you are able to do group sessions (outdoors) that are significantly cheaper so we thought this made sense.

@acleverusername I usually have two days of positive OPKs, so not super short, but not super long. I too do the "cervix sweep" to check my CM. GL on your testing this cycle. Nothing wrong with doing more things that cant hurt!

@chindimples04 so sorry to see you back here. Sending you virtual *hugs*. Hopefully the brand new classroom can help take your mind off of it for a bit.

@acleverusername I do a sweep because I also check CP. I can tell tell when I am getting close to O because CP gets so high suddenly I can barely reach for a sweep or to check texture and openness.

@chindimples04 sending lots of creepy internet hugs about Day 1. I hope your move in goes well.

@inthewoods23 our cat always preferred me, then I developed and allergy, so I don't like her in my lap as much. She has converted to my husband as her person because he let's her on his lap when she wants.

I hope she put some good juju in for you!

@acleverusername oh, I missed your question! Technically you aren’t checking CM if you don’t do an internal sweep since toilet paper check can be mixed with vaginal fluid. I do an internal sweep. Being in my classroom was super overwhelming. I’m not really wanting to go back because I’m not 100% confident it’s safe to be in the classroom but I also desperately want to be teaching in person because teaching virtually was awful!
