Hi PAIFers, I am so early but wanted to intro myself. Like with my last pregnancy, I'm doing my best to enjoy the process and not be too anxious in between appointments (famous last words, right?)
How far along/EDD? 5+3, 4/3
How are you feeling this week? I've been pretty tired and crampy but this morning the nausea hit like a ton of bricks. I made the mistake of emptying DS' diaper pail which resulted in a quick sprint to the bathroom.
Rants/Raves? Questions? With my last pregnancy I hardly worked out at all - maybe a walk here and there. Now we have a Peloton and I was in a really good routine before this transfer. I am wondering what everyone's workout regimes have been. I don't want to push myself too hard but also don't want to not use it. Thoughts?
Any upcoming appointments? Just a short eternity until my first ultrasound on 8/18.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) Gosh, everything? I am in Minneapolis and we have beautiful lakes in the city with really nice walking trails and then our cabin is a couple hours north -- so I guess the lakes. and the seasons. and the people. see, everything!

Hello!!!! Very cautiously joining this group because I couldn't wait any longer and also because @BusinessWife and I are only overlapping a couple of weeks this go around. I loved being a part of this board with my first pregnancy (baby boy born Aug 2018 via donor egg IVF) and after 3 FETs I am pregnant with our second. My first beta last week was low (48.7) but today's came back at 156 so I'm feeling more confident. It's so nice to see a lot of familiar names.
How far along/EDD? 4+5/ April 7
How are you feeling this week? So anxious and barely sleeping. I'm so hopeful but its so scary.
Rants/Raves? Questions? My husband is emotionally useless and thinks I should just stop thinking about it. Okay...thanks.
Any upcoming appointments? One more beta on Thursday to ensure we are moving in the right direction
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) We live in Boston and I love being in the city. We are walking distance to so many great activities and museums. Sometimes I wish we had a little more space and a yard but for now we are so happy here.

@madasm0530 Welcome, and Congratulations! I have some workout from my online birth prep class, as well as links to a couple mamastrong ones recommended to me, but I am the wrong person to ask, bc I have been majorly slacking with both. Lol
@laurad75 Squeee!!!! <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/9t/mrw37scp9ytn.gif" alt=""> Congratulations!!! So so happy to see you here! Will just be over here holding my breath with you till Thursday. ❤️❤️❤️ I'm sorry YH is not much help for the time being. Mine was kind of like that too in the beginning - who am I kidding, pretty much the entire pregnancy. How far along/EDD? 39+2/Eviction Date is tomorrow (8/4)!
How are you feeling this week? Good. I think the baby is pushing down, so sore down there. But I just need to survive for one more day and she is here!
Rants/Raves? Questions? I’m so thrilled that I was able to make it this far. This is my second and last pregnancy so can’t believe that my infertility journey is coming to an end tomorrow.
Any upcoming appointments? C-section tomorrow!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) Food and diversity. As an immigrant, I love that my city is full of immigrants and children of immigrants. I feel like I belong here. And food! Cheap, authentic cuisine from around the world. What’s not to love?
@businesswife I’m taking my maternity pic today too (not by a pro, but my mom) to mark the last day (well, technically the second to last day) of pregnancy. My belly will never be this huge again.
@madasm0530 Didn’t work out much this pregnancy (I blame it on SIP lol) but my first pregnancy I walked after lunch around the block near my work and for 20-30 min after dinner everyday. I also did pregnancy Pilates once a week. It feels good to work out though. Never been into exercise much but I definitely had more energy when I was pregnant with my son compared to this pregnancy. Though it could also be that I’m exhausted from mommy duties which I didn’t have with my first.

How are you feeling this week? Good! Other than fatigue, I haven’t had any nausea since I hit 8 weeks. I was very nervous about this at first but I should be thankful I’m not dry heaving every time I brush my teeth. I changed my vitamins at 8 weeks, not sure if this contributing to the absence of it.
Rants/Raves? Questions? None!
Any upcoming appointments? A ultrasound Friday! Last ultrasound was so unclear and it made me nervous so they are going to do another with another machine. They did hear the heartbeat at the last one but I want to SEE the healthy baby.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) my home itself is cozy and is full of touches that speak to us! The town I live in.... well, we haven’t been here long and we find ourselves going back to our hometown often. It’s quiet, but not too quiet!
@cashewchicken So exciting!!! And that is a great way to think about it. I don't know what we have in store with our remaining embies, but I think even if we don't have another THB in our story, if I think of it that way, I can be happy and relieved to close a chapter in that sense (and not think about it like closing the door on <i>motherhood</i>, which of course, will never end! ❤️). You are such a rockstar, and I'm so glad we've gotten to walk this part of the IF journey together.
@Kimbrlyg814 Ah! GL Friday! So glad they are able to get you in and scanned with a better machine. 👍👍
@BusinessWife thank you!! So much excitement on your end! You’re so close! ❤️ I can imagine that knowing this may be the last one is challenging to think about. Hang in there and focus on the present moment ❤️❤️
How are you feeling this week? Anxiously awaiting my first OB appointment next week.
Rants/Raves? Questions? Wed, Aug 5 will officially be the last day of my PIO shots and estrogen!! Also we loved the daycare that we toured last week and put down a deposit to hold a place for our LO for this time next year on the spot.
Any upcoming appointments? OB appt Tues, Aug 11.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I live in South Jersey just outside of Philadelphia. The town I live in is small (~2 sq miles) and very walkable with a very quaint main street. All of the kids walk to school. I love everything about it so much.
@BusinessWife I hope that you can get the maternity leave sorted out before your due date. How stressful.
@madasm0530 and @laurad75 Welcome! I'm happy to see both of you over on this board.
How are you feeling this week? Tired. This baby has decided 2am is a perfect time for a dance party on my bladder.
Rants/Raves? Questions? Not looking forward to telling work in a few weeks and dealing with getting leave figured out. It was an absolute disaster last time (so much so that DH ended up calling my boss without me knowing and basically telling them to get their sh!t together since I had already delivered and brought her home from the nicu.
Any upcoming appointments? Aug 14. It’s been forever since I’ve seen this little one!!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I think all the history and museums. I live just outside DC so it’s cool to be able to take a short drive and have a picnic or fly a kite on the national mall
@madasm0530 we are planning on moving back to MN in a year and I am SO excited! I grew up just west of Minneapolis and DH fell in love with the area every time we visit my family there. Welcome and congrats!!! I swam with DD a few times a week last time and walked at work (up till 28 weeks when I got told no more exercise due to restricted growth). This pregnancy ive been taking daily walks and chasing a toddler and my weight gain has almost been exactly the same. I think as long as your body is used to the level of exercise, there shouldn’t be any issues continuing what you have been!
@laurad75 SO happy to see you posting here!! This pregnancy I started with a low beta as well (it was spontaneous and i had no clue when I ovulated) but it was nerve wracking. I think my first beta was like 39 or something and the wait between each one and then the first US was so nerve wracking.
So many of you are getting close!! Can’t wait to hear updates that include the babies soon!!
Hi everyone! I’m also cautiously joining. I was active here with my son in 2017 and I’m still on the PAIF FB group. I was getting ready to start IVF in October and got a surprise positive pregnancy test on Friday. We were of course trying but we’ve been doing that 1.5 years now between IUI and natural so a good surprise. I have my first beta tomorrow - I’m trying to be positive that this little one will stick - I haven’t had good luck with prior natural pregnancies.
How are you feeling this week? Bit crampy so far on and off. My boobs feel different already. Never had them change with DS.
Rants/Raves? Questions? Not much yet - I guess it’s awesome that my RE is going to continue to follow this pregnancy as if it was through IF treatment. And also hold my Funded IVF spot until I’m discharged.
Any upcoming appointments? Tuesday & Thursday I have BHcg draws. See what they say.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) Just happy to be living in Canada in general lately. The world has been scary this year so far.
Me: 37 DH: 37 - Married 10.2015 ❤️ Canadian DX: Endometriosis - Stage 4, DOR, RPL
Hi friends. I am tentatively joining your crew. I am now 7wk7d pregnant after first transfer with DE. I'm still so nervous about things progressing as they should after all I've been through but it's good to see some familiar faces! Hey girl @31magnolia! I'm so glad we could cross paths for a bit. @laurad75@madasm0530@laurelew hi friends!
First beta is in and she ain't good. 328. The nurse called and said youre pregnant with a positive blood test, do you know the start of your last period. I told her I'll double check and while I did that I told her I'd used the digi ovulation tests and when it said I peaked and based on that I should be 5 weeks today. She said she didnt think I was 5 weeks per this beta so we'll do a repeat tomorrow morning and see then get a dating ultrasound done. but when I told her my LMP she kinda went oh ok. So, beta hell for one. Wait until Friday morning to see if it's going up or going down. I'm pretty nervous now.
Me: 37 DH: 37 - Married 10.2015 ❤️ Canadian DX: Endometriosis - Stage 4, DOR, RPL
I'll have to give my update in a bit. It's been a crazy week. I just had to say I saw a notification that @lucyb1954 mentioned my name and I came to take a look. I literally have tears in my eyes seeing you on this post! I'm beyond excited for you girlie! Keeping everything crossed for you! (hugs)
@JWatt5 The wait between tests is the worst! Hopefully you just had a late implantation. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you, and will be thinking about you Friday.
How are you feeling this week?Achy, tired, uncomfortable and overwhelmed. AND still not motivated to do a whole lot, which is bad. I'm running out of time! Also, baby is even more active (hard to believe) and I'm having to get up now two times during the night to go to the bathroom that's on top of the countless times I'm going throughout the day. And just contact kicks and jabs to my ribs and cervix.
Rants/Raves? Questions? Rave - Contractors are finally here to work on the nursery and guest room remodeling.I'm so excited to get this going! ---- Rant - Contractors are finally here to work on the nursery and guest room remodeling. This means my upstairs looks like a freaking war zone! I still need to declutter. And I have ppl walking in and out of my house. So I'm trying to stay completely away from the 2nd floor. That I don't love at all. Stuff is adding up quickly (between the house and remodel) so we may need to cut back on what we were going to spend.
Any upcoming appointments? Echo results tomorrow. OB and ultrasound on Aug. 11. I can't wait for the ultrasound!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I do really like my kitchen. It was gutted and redone!
@BusinessWife - thanks for starting this post! I didn't get maternity pics either. Not official ones. My SO did some at home pics but that was it. I'm hoping to do family pics when baby girl is about 2 months.
@madasm0530 - Welcome and congrats! I had a good workout routine before getting pregnant and then everything stop once I became pregnant (doctor didn't want me working out at all). And I haven't been able to get back into a routine the rest of the pregnancy. Question - How much do you love your Peleton? My SO wants one, I keep saying no. Lol.
@31magnolia i feel like i could be a commercial for it - i'm obsessed. and the app has everything - not just biking. we got ours about 4 months after DS was born so the timing was perfect!!

@madasm0530 - haha! good to know. I've had the app for about a year or so. I would do the spin workouts on the bikes at my job. My SO would do their other cardio and strength workout. I am just not sure if I want give in and buy an actual Peleton bike. BUT it doesn't seem like the pandemic is ending anytime soon and I'm not comfortable going into any type of gym, so.......
@JWatt5 I'm so sorry to hear that you are in limbo currently. Sending positive vibes your way for that number to at least double by tomorrow.
@31magnolia You have me chuckling with your rave and your rant. Contractors are such a necessary evil. We've had some work done on our house since we purchased 3 years ago and are currently waiting for our contractor to come out and give us an estimate on the rest of the work we want done. While we really like our contractor (great price and does a wonderful job) his time management skills are lacking. If we succeed in getting him out here before my due date (March 2021!) I will be thrilled. Best of luck with the work going on at your house. You'll have to share some pictures once everything has been completed.
@laurelew - It really is a catch 22! I want the work done, it's just after a week I'm over it and I want everyone out the house. I don't even think I can blame this on the pregnancy because I'm pretty sure I felt the same way when we got the master bedroom done last year. Lol. And you have a lot of patience! I would go batty if I had to schedule my contractor 6 months out! haha.
Awwww @31magnolia thank you girl! I honestly did not think our DE transfer would work. After all the crap I've been through I just really didn't feel positively about it. It's still so scary, I'm 8wk2d today and have a scan tomorrow. But I'm guessing I probably won't feel like it's safe until I have baby in my arms and then there's another whole ball of wax to deal with with caring for a baby!
How did everyone get through the nausea? I have B6 and Unisom and Seabands, but man, the nausea is much worse than I expected mostly because it's constant. I took Tuesday off of work because it was so bad. Blech!
@lucyb1954 I've been suffering from the nausea/queasiness the past couple of weeks also (not to mention the food aversions). Mine is also constant. I've been doing the B6 and I like to think it helps a little but who can say. Some days are better than others. I just hit 10w today and some women report that the symptoms started to go away for them this week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. For the most part I've just been trying my best to get through each day and make it through this phase. I'm lucky in that I'm still working from home for now. I can't imagine how I would be able to cope if I was going into an office every day. Have you been throwing up too or just nauseous all day long?
How far along/EDD? 19 weeks, so officially half way
How are you feeling this week? Better actually- the fluids really seem to be helping, I’ve got the medication in a good routine. Exhausted and still queasy but at least I’m not vomiting 20 times a day.
Rants/Raves? Questions? I did. not. throw. up. today. First time in 14 weeks.
Any upcoming appointments? Cardiologist was today! my first tri echo looks good. The shunting is about the same as my last (non pregnancy) echo, which is good. The tachycardia they monitored in the office for a bit, and we need to keep an eye on it, but he said if it stays where it is, he isn't concerned. He said to make sure I don't get behind on fluids because that can tick up the tachycardia. But all in all "Everything looks good, see you in six weeks for your second tri ECHO."
I mean I'm still never doing this again, but I'm actually starting to have hope this will be okay.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I am in an extremely rural town of 600 people - I love the beauty here, but I also love the way you can really just sink into the community and be part of things 🥰🥰
@jwatt5 hoping for a good result! My first number was similar - 271 at 4w 5d, so hoping for good news!
@mtpbadger I’ve been working on planning my maternity leave for three weeks- there is so much to it!!!
@BusinessWife Just don't do what a photography client of mine did - changed her mind right after she went into labor and ran into my studio in a panic. Fastest photo shoot of my life!
How are you feeling this week? I'm tentatively coming over here after getting a positive HPT this morning. I was here from 2015-2017 when TTC our DD who was born May 2018 (after 6iuis, 2 IVF retrievals, she was our first FET). I had two failed FETS over the last 12 months, with our last embryos, so we ICSId our 6 frozen eggs - we ended up with two early blastocysts and transfered them both last Wednesday. Praying this little embaby or babies stick tight, we don't have any chances left!
Rants/Raves? Questions? I've felt a little crampy the last few days, when the hpt was still negative, but tonight, after getting a BFP this morning, I'm super crampy and it's making me nervous!! I'm having a hard time remembering if it felt like this last time. Please tell me you gals had cramping this early on? 🙏
Any upcoming appointments? Beta on Monday Aug 10
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? I like that our community cares about each other, cares about living healthy, taking care of our environment ect. There are lots of parks, bike paths, community events ect but really miss my home state of Michigan. I miss the clean lakes, sandy beaches, pine trees and the blueberries!

@the_road_to_oz - thanks for sharing that. I have a bit more Hope now that it’s gone up and not down. Not as well as I’d hoped but we’ll see what happens.
@ReesaAnne16 - that’s exciting!! I’ve been cramping since the day before I got my positive and I remember a ton of cramping with DS. So much so I thought there was no way an embryo was going to survive it.

@ReesaAnne16 @lucyb1954 Welcome!!!! TB won't let you edit a post past 24 hours anymore, so just remind us of your EDD once Monday's check-in is up, and we can add you both to the list!
@JWatt5 This really is torture. I will keep thinking all the positive thoughts for your little bub! ❤️
@31magnolia omg, having the house torn apart is so stressful, but it will be worth it! DH is not working today (for once on a Saturday) so we are going through attic bins, clothes, donations etc so we can finally have some space to bring the baby things down. I already feel like it's breaking me lol
@JWatt5 hang in there girl. Prayers for you. I had an ectopic last year and my number doubled initially and then slowed down. But I’ve heard of women who’s numbers didn’t double but they went on to have healthy babies. Hoping for good news at Monday’s appointment!

@Kimbrlyg814 Ah! GL Friday! So glad they are able to get you in and scanned with a better machine. 👍👍
- How far along/EDD? 9w4d, EDD 3/4/2021
- How are you feeling this week? Anxiously awaiting my first OB appointment next week.
- Rants/Raves? Questions? Wed, Aug 5 will officially be the last day of my PIO shots and estrogen!! Also we loved the daycare that we toured last week and put down a deposit to hold a place for our LO for this time next year on the spot.
- Any upcoming appointments? OB appt Tues, Aug 11.
- GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I live in South Jersey just outside of Philadelphia. The town I live in is small (~2 sq miles) and very walkable with a very quaint main street. All of the kids walk to school. I love everything about it so much.
@BusinessWife I hope that you can get the maternity leave sorted out before your due date. How stressful.@madasm0530 and @laurad75 Welcome! I'm happy to see both of you over on this board.
@cashewchicken Thinking of you tomorrow!
@Kimbrlyg814 So happy to hear they were able to accommodate you for another ultrasound this Friday. Enjoy!
@laurad75 SO happy to see you posting here!! This pregnancy I started with a low beta as well (it was spontaneous and i had no clue when I ovulated) but it was nerve wracking. I think my first beta was like 39 or something and the wait between each one and then the first US was so nerve wracking.

@laurad75 @madasm0530 @laurelew hi friends!
@cashewchicken Thinking about you today!
@BusinessWife I’m sorry you are dealing with maternity leave stress. Hopefully you can get it figured out quickly.
@JWatt5 Welcome! How did your first beta go yesterday?
The nurse called and said youre pregnant with a positive blood test, do you know the start of your last period. I told her I'll double check and while I did that I told her I'd used the digi ovulation tests and when it said I peaked and based on that I should be 5 weeks today. She said she didnt think I was 5 weeks per this beta so we'll do a repeat tomorrow morning and see then get a dating ultrasound done. but when I told her my LMP she kinda went oh ok. So, beta hell for one. Wait until Friday morning to see if it's going up or going down. I'm pretty nervous now.

I just had to say I saw a notification that @lucyb1954 mentioned my name and I came to take a look. I literally have tears in my eyes seeing you on this post! I'm beyond excited for you girlie! Keeping everything crossed for you! (hugs)
- How far along/EDD? 35w1d
- How are you feeling this week?Achy, tired, uncomfortable and overwhelmed.
- Rants/Raves?
- Any upcoming appointments? Echo results tomorrow. OB and ultrasound on Aug. 11. I can't wait for the ultrasound!
- GTKY: What is your favorite thing about where you live? (Town / home itself) I do really like my kitchen. It was gutted and redone!
@BusinessWife - thanks for starting this post! I didn't get maternity pics either. Not official ones. My SO did some at home pics but that was it. I'm hoping to do family pics when baby girl is about 2 months.@madasm0530 - Welcome and congrats! I had a good workout routine before getting pregnant and then everything stop once I became pregnant (doctor didn't want me working out at all). And I haven't been able to get back into a routine the rest of the pregnancy. Question - How much do you love your Peleton? My SO wants one, I keep saying no. Lol.
@laurad75 - Welcome and congrats!!
@cashewchicken - How are you and baby?? Hope all is well.
@Kimbrlyg814 - Yay for no nausea! It feels so good when you finally get to that point! lol
@lauralew - Yay for no more PIO shots and estrogen!! lol
@mtpbadger - I hate the 2 am dances on the bladder!
@JWatt5 - Welcome and congrats!!

How did everyone get through the nausea? I have B6 and Unisom and Seabands, but man, the nausea is much worse than I expected mostly because it's constant. I took Tuesday off of work because it was so bad. Blech!
@BusinessWife Just don't do what a photography client of mine did - changed her mind right after she went into labor and ran into my studio in a panic. Fastest photo shoot of my life!
@madasm0530 Welcome and congrats!
@laurad75 Welcome and congrats!
@cashewchicken How are you?!
@Kimbrlyg814 Omg. I feel you on that.
@lauralew That's an exciting milestone! If you are really struggling, talk to your doctor. I am 19 weeks and finally feeling human.
@JWatt5 Welcome and congrats!
@31@31magnolia I love my kitchen too. When we looked at houses, it was what first sold me on this house.
@lucyb1954 Weekly iv fluids, Zofran, Phenergan, and unisom and B6. Talk to your OB - they'll usually start you off with zofran if you are ill.
