What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week? On weight watchers still, and getting back into running.
How's everything going? Doing well with eating so far. I'm starting my 4th week back on weight watchers and so far doing well with sticking to it. I hadn't been able to run for the last few months, but I'm cleared to get back to it so I'm trying to work on that now.
What has you motivated or struggling this week? I ran yesterday for the first time in a while. It wasn't very far or fast, but I felt good!
What's a "small win" you have from last week? Down 4 lbs, which is pretty nice.
@fitzfizz woo weight loss! I wish I could get into running but my scoliosis says bad idea
What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week? Yoga 3x a week, less soda more water
How's everything going? Ehhhh alright. It takes me weeks to gear up to getting back into yoga 😑 but DH actually seems on board with it since he "does the same stretches on his own anyway". Last I checked I've never seen him do downward dog so okay 😆
What has you motivated or struggling this week? I saw Yoga with Adriene has new calendar for the month of August so I really want to try to follow it! Even if it takes more than 30 days
What's a "small win" you have from last week? I think I was able to cut back a bit on the sodas last week!

@inthewoods23 I think I said this before but I love Yoga with Adrienne when I'm on yoga kicks. ETA and lol at YH thinking he's doing "yoga" stretches.
@fitzfizz Love your attitude as you get back into running. That's when I have the best success - I don't care how fast or far I go, just get. out. there. Now it's just so normal. I went on a 50 minute run this morning but probably started out doing 30-35 mins when I started a little over a month ago. We had time constraints but I ran to the hardware store and back for a quick 30 mins on Saturday just to get it in AND check off an errand.
What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week? My cardio is pretty well established so I realllly need to get better about doing my core and general bodyweight workouts for strength.
How's everything going? Good. Feeling positive - the endorphins are real.
What has you motivated or struggling this week? Too exhausted by the end of the day to do my core stuff but I should while watching TV with DH.
What's a "small win" you have from last week? One day of core exercises, I think? It had to have been Monday lol
@fitzfizz that is awesome! Way to get out there, and the loss is fantastic!
@inthewoods23 that's great progress on the sodas; they are so hard to quit!
@kvh22 it sounds like you had a great week! I'm great with cardio but I struggle with getting strength in as well. It just doesn't do it for me, ya know?
What habits, goals, or resolutions are you focusing on this week? Spinning 4-5x this week, getting my week 4 Pelothon badge
How's everything going? Ok, it was our anniversary this weekend, so we ate ALL the things (sushi, spontaneous tacos and sangria, homemade pizza, pancakes...) I'm determined to get back on track today.
What has you motivated or struggling this week? I just woke up tired and "meh" today, but I'm trying to rally some motivation.
What's a "small win" you have from last week? I had a 4lb loss this week; it seems like my body finally let go of some after 3 weeks of stagnating.
@kvh22 to be fair, we've only done 1 or 2 basic ones - like the bedtime yoga so it is legit all your basic stretches like touching your toes or cobra pose which he often does to help stretch is back. He'll be in for a rude awakening when we do something that's longer or even a flow yoga

@inthewoods23 oooo lol yes totally different. I've done yoga in front of DH and he always makes comments about how his body doesn't move that way

@fitzfizz yay for running; I'm in the same camp. GL with weight watchers! Do you have a weight loss target? @inthewoods23 yay, you did manage to drink less soda! Now a bit less this week and you'll be off it in no time. GL with your yoga challenge! @kvh22 do you have a program in mind for to boost your core / strength? @bbrahmbhatt I think it's totally okay to cheat on your anniversary; however, I'd be feeling guilty and wanting to get back on track too. @acleverusername yay for the AW rings and success with Whole30! I like videos like bodyfit by Amy and other HIIT workouts or Kayla Itsines's BBG workouts. I purchased a core program called Restore Your Core that's a combination of adjusting how you carry yourself in everyday life, doing psoas releases, core-focused yoga, and some core specific workouts. *TW pregnancy*
It's emphasis is postpartum healing, whether it's 4 months or 10 years after having kids and is a lifetime purchase. I was lucky enough to *look* the same 12 months postpartum after DD1 but different story after DD2 - and I learned that I wasn't fully healed (which you really never will be completely) and I want to go into a potential 3rd pregnancy as strong as possible. It ties in core, pelvic floor, etc. so very comprehensive for women's health. I had some specific issues during both pregnancies (called SPD) that made activity really tough and there is a sister program during pregnancy that I swear by to help with those symptoms. Sorry to go into all of that outside of TFAS but if you were to google the program it's pretty clear so I wanted to explain.
@inthewoods23 "I do the stretches on my own anyway" sounds like something by husband would say, right before dramatically failing to do any of them correctly. I don't know if this is accurate for your husband, but that is how I'm picturing it and it makes me giggle.
@kvh22 There was a time that I could do a >1 hour run without stopping and it felt good, but it is amazing how quickly you lose it. I started with quarter mile walk/run intervals, so I have a lot of way to go.
@bbrahmbhatt Woohoo 4 lbs! I usually average about 1-2 lbs per week when I am sticking to my plan, so mine was definitely a fluke, but it does feel nice when you get that
@acleverusername My end goal is to get back to my wedding weight, which I am currently 21 lbs from, but I would be happy to get back to my weight from the beginning of the year so that I can wear my regular clothes. I am currently 9 lbs from that. I hope you had a good run!
