7/17 Check-in for anyone who is left

I have noticed this board go virtually silent since the main group has moved to FB. I’d like to see who’s left, maybe get to know you all more, and have open discussions like this board is meant for! I haven’t been very active, but I would like to be

How far along are you?

Re: 7/17 Check-in for anyone who is left

  • I’ll start.

    How far along are you?
    26 + 2

    Due date?
    10/21

    Upcoming appointments?
7/20 for 3 hour glucose test because my 1 hour test came back elevated

    Rant/rave?

Rant: I am SO not looking forward for the 3 hour glucose test  Going in first thing Monday morning to get it over with..

Rave: We finally started getting nursery furniture in and I am so excited! Though we will need to move before we can set anything up, as the second bedroom is not suitable for a baby (there is NO vent or anything. Like what???)

    Questions?
    None that come to mind!
  • I'm really happy someone is still around!! So glad you want to keep this up :) I'm definitely down to get to know the stragglers better 👍

    29 weeks

Due 10/3 but having a medically necessary c section 9/26

    Tdap vaccine coming up

Rant/rave: I pee about a million times a day. It's starting to drive me crazy.  On the bright side, we just installed our carseat and it's got me all excited 🤗

    Questions: can't think of any

  • Hi guys,

I introduced myself a long while back but then failed to keep up. I did want to join back in but felt it was too late. But since we are kind of starting over id like to join in.

    How far along are you?
    27 weeks today

    Due date?
    10/17

    Upcoming appointments?
have appt on 07/28 with OB. My glucose challenge came back at 129 which i looked up is normal so thats good.

    Rant/rave?

Rant: My hemoglobin dropped from 13 pre pregnancy to 10.6. I stupidly got prenatal vitamins which i didnt realize did not have high enough iron content so im a little angry with myself. I got separate iron pills now so hopefully can improve it. I’l definitely be hearing about it from my OB on my next visit.

Rave: As a FTM and with a IVF baby im so happy to have made it to the third trimester. It feels like such a milestone. Cant wait for this baby to get here! :)

    Questions?
    none at this time
  • @mlopez18 that sucks about the 3 hour test. Fingers crossed it’l be normal!!
We just ordered nursery furniture too and it got me real excited :)

@poppyseed314 i hear you on the pee! Its just constant. I feel like i spend half the day in the bathroom.
  • Hi Ladies, straggler here🤰🏻.  Now that I am further along in my pregnancy I feel more comfortable participating ❤️.  See below for my answers!

    How far along are you?
    25 wks and some change!

    Due date?
    10/28

Upcoming appointments? Monday!! Regular checkup and picking up the DRINK 🧟‍♀️ for the glucose test.

Rant/rave? I am a STM and am definitely bumpin’ it way sooner than last time! My bump is so huge I’m afraid I have GD, but I hear you are always “bigger” the second time around, so I’m trying to relax 🙂.

Ps: @poppyseed314,  I’m with you all on the peeing!! @nasah15 congrats on the IVF baby!! @mlopez18 congrats on the furniture! We still haven’t finished DD’s room... and she’s about to turn 2 🤣

    Questions? None at the moment
  • @poppyseed314 I'm glad I'm not the only one! I wondered when the replies thinned out..
@nasah15 Welcome back! I introduced myself and posted a handful of times, but already at that point it seemed like an "inner circle" had formed, so it felt difficult to just pop in. Congrats on your IVF baby! That is so exciting. We had tried for a year and a half and saw a fertility specialist only to get pregnant a few weeks later. My husband and I were seriously considering IVF if we needed to. And thank you! I've got my fingers crossed I pass this test. The one hour test came back with 146 and I think 140 is the cutoff.

YES YES YES on the peeing. My husband and I have one bathroom and it's driving me insane

@cristi_clear Welcome! The drink wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but it gave me the WORST heartburn. I'm bracing myself to not be able to take any tums for 3 full hours this time haha. And oh yea that's totally fine I feel! I am a FTM so I have all these expectations of what I want, but I know that we will get it all figured out eventually

  • I also disappeared a while back. I just didn't have much to offer up, and life got busy. Nice to see there are still a few people left here :)

    Anywho!

How far along are you? 27 weeks 1 day

    Due date? 10/17

Upcoming appointments? My next appointment is tomorrow! Just a check up. I had my glucose test 2 weeks ago. It was so different from when I had my son 12 years ago. Back when I had him it was 2 or 3 hours and you couldn't eat prior to it (I felt AWFUL). Got my results back already for this one, and I'm in the clear (woo!).

Rant/rave? My rant? Hmm. I guess that my upper back has been bothering me quite a bit. Rave? How much easier the glucose test is now, haha.

    Questions? None at the moment.
  • Hi ladies! I don’t log in here everyday, but just realized how everyone moved to FB. Not really interested in a FB group much because I have a hard enough time keeping up there anyway. I’m glad there are still some of us still here! :)

How far along are you? 28 weeks and 4 days

    Due date? 10/7

    Upcoming appointments? 7/29

Rant/rave? Now that I’ve hit third trimester, I feel like that first tri fatigue is returning. I’ve been so tired once I get home from work. Baby boy must be growing!!

    Questions? none currently
  • @brittscasale Yep, I guess now they do the 1 hour test and only do the 3 hour fasting test if you come up elevated.... that’s where I’ll be in the morning lol.
I’ve been having issues with my lower back! Not all the time though.

@amandarenee89 I want to be more active than I have been just because I think it’s nice to have support, but I completely understand. Just do what you’re comfortable with, I promise from the sounds of who is left, there will be no alienation due to lack of activity
  • @mlopez18 “no alienation due to lack of activity” 🙄🙄🙄
There was never any alienation. Everyone is welcome to participate in the forum.
But yeah people aren’t going to be invited to private Facebook groups when they haven’t been active in months or have just started being active. Facebook is a lot more personal and from past experience, if you only lurked here, you will lurk on Facebook.

  • How can you be alienated if you don’t even participate 🙄 🤔
  • @mlopez18 ugh I am so sorry! Good luck!
  • @anitamargarita_82 I did not mean anything to sound like an attack so my bad 😂 None of you guys have been posting on here since you left. I am just trying to keep this board going. Have a fantastic day 😊

    @brittscasale Thank you!
  • @amandarenee89 Totally with you on the fatigue!! I've been taking a lot of naps lately.

I lurk bc this isn’t my first rodeo.  I’ll probably only comment if someone needs advice or something.

    How far along are you?
    30 weeks tomorrow

    Due date?
9/30 so I joined October since my other two were late

    Upcoming appointments?
Go every 2 weeks now.  Ultrasound in 2 weeks!

    Rant/rave?

Rant: About to move 2+ year old to big girl bed this weekend and so sad I’ll have another child wander around whenever they feel!

Rave: Since this is our last baby we’re doing maternity pictures next weekend- something we never did with the other two so I’m excited to capture it.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I wasn’t comfortable being active right away and then before I knew it I felt like it was too late to join in. Happy there are others still here!

    26 weeks today, first timer

    Due 10/28

Level 2 ultrasound scheduled in two weeks

Rant is that my husband tested positive for Covid (I’ll post details in that thread) and Rave is the relief of finally ordering the nursery furniture!

The only question I have right now is if anyone can offer advice regarding an abnormal cord insertion. I’m seeing a specialist soon, but my OB did not provide much info. I hate to worry when there’s nothing I can do about it. So far I was only told that the cord is on the edge of placenta instead of the middle.
  • Hi. I introduced myself in the beginning but just lurked cause it's my 3rd baby!! Thank you for posting this I've been wanting to post but just haven't and this gave me a good time to do so.

How far along are you? 25+ 5

    Due date? Oct 30

Upcoming appointments? Aug 11 will be my last4 week appt. And I have to schedule my glucose test.

Rant/rave? Rant: I took a glucose test early in pregnancy cause of my weight and I passed with flying colors and she said I wouldn't need another one. But I do need my normal one at 28 weeks it's not that bad just trusting I guess. Rave: because of my pregnancy and covid I've been sent home from work for the last 5 months (still getting paid) and have had so much time with my hubby and kids even if covid is a downer I lo vfc e the exte time.

  • @slr1229 Good to have you here! And thanks for the reminder on maternity pics, I’ve been meaning to get those scheduled but keep forgetting.. 😆

@debc123 Of course! And that’s exactly how I felt. Not anyone’s fault of course, but there is a social aspect where I too felt anxious about joining when it seemed like there was a group that already knew each other.
Oh no! Were you tested as well? My hubby is a counselor and a kid he works with is being tested... crossing our fingers they come back negative!

@soon_to_be_3 All good! I’m definitely not super active, but would like to keep these updates going as long as there is interest in them!
Thats good that you’re able to work from home! I’ve been working from home for about 4 months at this point. My house is small and I’m set up right smack in the middle of it while hubby gets the only spare room in the house. I can’t wait for all this to be over, but who knows when at this point!!
  • How far along are you?
    26+3

    Due date?
    Oct 28

    Upcoming appointments?
Check up and glucose test on Wednesday

    Rant/rave?
Work is finally calming down, I've been working 78hrs a weeks for the last 2 months and I'm very over it (why I've disappeared off here lately). 1 more week of this then freeeeee.  At least back to a normal 40hrs a week, which will feel like a vacation haha.

Glad there are still some ladies around here!

    Questions?
    None right now :)

Hi. I just came onto the site. I don't have facebook so I was hoping to meet a few mamas just to chat on here.

How far along are you? I will be 30 weeks on Thursday

Due date? October 8th but I am having a medically necessary Csection October 1st.

Upcoming appointments? I have a maternal fetal sonogram on friday.

Rant/rave? I'm ridiculously uncomfortable lol. I am not enjoying this heat of summer. We are planning to have this be our last pregnancy but if it does ever happen again, I will NOT be pregnant in the summer lol.

Questions? Anyone else super paranoid? I dunno...this is my second baby but I am so much more paranoid this time around.
  • I have low iron too. I'm normally a 10 (thanks grandma for the genetics....haha) and it dropped to 8.6.
  • @rosannb hi! Welcome to the group! Looks like we'll be c-section buddies! Mine is Sep 26th. This summer heat is definitely getting annoying. I'm one of those people who is usually cold all the time and now I just sweat all day. As for being paranoid, I think coronavirus is definitely causing a lot of stress. On the bright side I met a pediatrician yesterday who reminded me that in light of all the cleaning and mask wearing,  the chances of your baby getting sick with other illnesses is down, which I found comforting. I hope your iron levels improve!
  • @poppyseed314 I am usually a cold one too but man this heat is a killer. I sweat in air conditioning lol. Covid 19 is definitely not helping with my paranoia but she's also not much of a mover so yeah lol. She's getting better. Some days she's quiet and some days she's practicing gymnastics. My iron is improving thankfully. I started eating more iron in my diet so now I can try pills instead of the IV iron they wanted me to do. That would not have worked with my life right now.
  • I had a 31 Week apt since my doc was on vacation last week.  Ultrasound too- fun to see but not as exciting when we aren’t finding out, had to close eyes for most of it...but baby is sideways working way down and 4ish lbs already.  Keep growing kiddos!

  • Got another ultrasound today. We're 29 +2, but baby is measuring 28 +4. 2lbs 11oz. Going to be a little guy. All is well. Just wanted to share
  • How far along are you? I will be 30 weeks on Thursday August 6

    Due date? October 16th

Upcoming appointments? I have an appt August 12th.

Rant/rave? Baby is currently breech and hoping he turns, still early but don't want to have a C-section!

Questions? Anyone else dealing with a breech baby? Also, anyone still nauseous? It faded for a little while during the second tri but now is back to stay probably and I am soooo tired of feeling nauseous!
