WTO Weekend of 8.1-8.2

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: WTO Weekend of 8.1-8.2

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1 AL

    CD: 4

    WAYDTGKU: temping and OPKs

R/R: Raves only! I woke up feeling optimistic today, just generally happy. I think it is going to be a good weekend. I get to see some family, on my weekly weight watchers weigh in I am down 4 lbs, and I have some good fruit to eat for breakfast. Trying to be positive!

CS/Q: not much of a chart, but I remembered to temp again for a second time so now I have two dots!

GTKY: What do you spend too much time doing? Realistic answer, I spend way too much time watching TV and browsing reddit mindlessly. Better answer, I got really into making handmade cards, and I spend way too much time on it. I already started planning my Christmas cards for the year in July. I’m now trying to recruit some other people I know to make cards so that I know someone appreciates the time that it takes.

@fitzfizz have you considered getting something like Tempdrop to help you with temping? Personally I don't find it worth the money but I remember to temp 100% of the time. Here's a good article reviewing it: https://fertilityawarenessproject.ca/blog/tempdrop-review

    Month/Cycle: 7/7 (with August here, it's officially month 7)

    CD: 11

WAYDTGKU: HIO, bbt, OPKs, CM, PNVs, Ubiquinol, melatonin, seed cycling, myo-inositol/d-chiro-inositol. Medical testing this cycle: HSG and more blood tests for my DH and I to complete our infertility panel.

R/R: rave -- It's the weekend yay! Going on a hike with a friend this morning.
rant -- Work is busy and my motivation levels this week were low b/c of HSG stress. Hopefully I can be more productive next week. I'm going to take a week off sometime in Aug and go away by myself (DH doesn't have enough PTO left), but hell if I know when to plan it since everything revolves around O nowadays. I've been invited by another couple friend to go away long weekend in Sep, but my response was "I can't because I don't know when I'll ovulate, and when we'd have the IUI" because of my unpredictable cycles.

CS/Q: Pretty boring stuff. Might add later from my phone.

GTKY: Yeah, I spend way too much time on my computer / phone on various sites: TB, Facebook, internet, Slack (both for non-work stuff). So, I have an addiction to my electronics.

  • @acleverusername lol at planning around ovulation. Enjoy your hike. I kinda wanna get out for a mini hike we can walk to from our apartment but not sure of DH will want to as well.

@fitzfizz I love that you make cards. That's so cool. And glad you're feeling so optimistic!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 20

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKs, PNVs+, Proov strips, pineapple core after O

R/R: so glad it's the weekend. Next week at work is going to suck. I have 5 hour meetings in the morning every day. Luckily, my boss is flexible and understanding b/c that will be impossible for me to be on video entirely. Also, my temps are 🤷🕵️‍♀️

Stuck in a box for chart stuff

CS/Q: my timing the past two days to temp has been off, right when I should have been seeing a temp spike. I temped early and it went DOWN. Temped late and it's way up. Idk what to do. So I took a Proov strips (measures progesterone byproduct). No line is positive which is confusing when explaining but basically you want it to be non-existent by 7DPO. Ppl use it to confirm O on 3DPO. I'm either 2, 3, or 4DPO of you go purely off my peak OPK. It went down (so more progesterone) from .5 to .3 so I do think I O'ed. Plus my RHR is up and CM was dry yesterday and so far today. Thoughts???

Yesterday it was 98.04 at 5am and 98.43 at 7am

Today 97.89 @4:46, 98.74 @6:44. I kept the higher temp today and will potentially change tot he higher one for yesterday

GTKY: What do you spend too much time doing? Lol bumping? Mindlessly looking at my phone (social media and articles).

  • @fitzfizz it hurts my heart so much to see you back here. I’m glad you are feeling good and have some positive things happening❤️

@acleverusername going away by myself sounds kind of amazing haha. Where are you thinking of going?

@kvh22 my vote is CD 18 for O!

    Month/Cycle: 20/23

    CD: 1👎

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, Tracking CM

R/R: I started spotting yesterday which surprised me because I wasn’t expecting AF until today and if anything I thought I was one day early on O date. So like any rational person I took a wondfo just to make sure. But it was just my body toying with me and AF arrived in full force today. I’m pumped that my cycle day will line up with the day of the month so I’ll always know what day I’m on. (In theory, in reality I never know what the date is anymore). Also, the silver lining to our family vacation getting cancelled is that I think my FW will be while we were supposed to be there. I don’t think I’d be able to have sex with my dad in the house so we probably wouldn’t have had a chance. Now I get to be a part of the May hype! Lots of plus sides on this CD 1!

    CS/Q:

GTKY: My time on my phone has definitely increased during covid. And definitely spending too much time working lately!

  • @fitzfizz yay for only raves! DH likes to custom make our photo cards for Christmas. It gets obnoxious because he comes up with weird ideas that aren't your simple background with a few elements and then Polaroid like pictures. Family and friends look forward to ours every year though!

@acleverusername I'd love a week-long vacation too. Boy would I really love to go somewhere that's not just a day trip! It's so tough since nothing seems really safe to travel to.

@kvh22 I've read before that sometimes the temp bump is delayed from the actual O date but I really don't know how accurate that statement is. The good news is you know you've O'ed at this point

    @bows22 May hype!!

    Month/Cycle: 38/27

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: bumpin' bumpin' in a couple days, supplements, OPKs, temping, GF and DF diet

R/R: food was delicious yesterday! Then we went and got custard but my brother wanted something local because they have Culver's down in AZ lol. So I did have a little bit of that and I noticed my stomach later was a little bleh so... Whoops, but the flavor of the day was mint chip! My absolute fav!

CS/Q: I'm guessing temps will settle in this mid 97 range

GTKY: What do you spend too much time doing? Let's see... Watching TV/YouTube/Netflix. Also way too much time is spent on TB (as evidenced by my constant presence on the weekly leaderboard)

  • @kvh22 I agree with @bows22 re: O on Day 18. So, get your fanny over to TWW. My hike was GREAT. I bought the AllTrails membership when it was 50% off during Memorial Day sale, and used it to veer completely off planned hike. It extended our hike from 7mi to just over 8. It was way more dangerous though; sandy and slippery and I ended up falling once (not seriously), but we did get to see some sights we wouldn't have otherwise.

@bows22 sucks to see you here! Also +1 on not really knowing what date it is. And sweet that your cycle lines up to the calendar date. That'll make things very easy!

@inthewoods23 glad you had a good time with your brother! How long is he staying for?

  • @bows22 it's what I've always gotten so it's just a bonus that it's GF (and presumably DF) too!

  • Hi ladies!

@fitzfizz I'm glad you're feeling so optimistic!  Thats a decent loss; I'm on WW too and a good week like that is always so nice. I love homemade cards, that is so cool!a

@acleverusername that sounds like such a fun hike, I love seeing cool sights/views. I know what you mean about planning everything around O time, lol.

@kvh22 yay for O! I agree it looks like probably day 18.

@bows22 so sorry to see you back here. Ugh for when our bodies mess with us, but that is a good silver lining.

@inthewoods23 I'm glad you enjoyed dinner with your brother!

    Month/Cycle: 13/11

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: PNVs, tracking CM, timing, OPKs, first cycle of clomid

R/R: We have had a great weekend for our anniversary! We have had a lot of great food and some good wine, and it has been nice to spend time together. Still no EWCM and negative OPKs so far...so much for my OB assuring me I would O on CD14.

    CS/Q: Nope

GTKY: What do you spend too much time doing? Hmm...probably spending too much time on TB and instagram.
