• How far along/EDD? 38+2/Eviction Date 8/4
• How are you feeling this week? Okay. Baby girl was kicking like crazy last night and it was so painful that I wondered if I was going into labor (but wasn’t contractions though. Huh)
• Rants/Raves? Questions? I still have some clean up to do but I’m feeling so lazy. I did clean up the master bathroom last weekend so that’s good. I was sore the next day. My plan before the pandemic was to hire a cleaning crew to do deep cleaning of the house, but that plan went out the window. Sniff.
• Any upcoming appointments? Diabetes this am, NST Tues and Fri, pre op OB appt on Tues. No more after this week (well, scheduled c-section on 8/4)
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? Not a huge music person. The last concert was a Sting concert I went with my husband years before we had our #1. It’ll be fun to go to a concert again though.
Me: 41 DH: 46
Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance
FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018
FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET
• How far along/EDD? 24w3d / Nov 13
• How are you feeling this week? Still feeling pretty good, did too much in the heat on Sat and was wiped the rest of the day so need to take it a little easier while it’s still so hot
• Rants/Raves? Questions? Made it to viability!!!! This little ones kicks have gotten strong the last couple days and it’s so cool to feel. Also, rant - DD has stopped napping and I was not ready for that. I lived for nap time to get work done and just sit on the couch and relax so we’re adjusting and trying to figure out a new normal. Hoping she’ll eventually do quiet time in her crib but we’re still working on that.
• Any upcoming appointments? 8/14 for OB, tdap, glucose and growth scan
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? Josh Groban last summer. DH and I see him almost anytime he comes to the area and he’s so good live. He’s played at an outdoor venue the last few times and it’s a great atmosphere - we get lawn seats, bring a picnic, a bottle of wine and it’s a nice little date night

• How are you feeling this week? Up and down. Nausea on and off, breast pain on and off, fatigue on and off.
• Rants/Raves? Questions? Raves: found a heartbeat after so searching today at our 8 week ultrasound. 171 bpm. Rant: our appointment started off scary. This was our first appointment with the OB after the IVF clinic. The doctor started with a transvaginal u/s and couldn’t find anything. Immediately I was panicking internally. Then she sent over to see if I could be out in another room on a different machine but they were busy. So she got the ultrasound tech to do another transvaginal and finally she found the heartbeat. But literally the baby was mostly black looking and not NEARLY as clear as my first U/s at 6.5 weeks. So the doctor wasn’t concerned but I’m just unsettled. Anybody have this issue with hide and seek this early on or the picture you couldn’t really see the baby? Ugh.
• Any upcoming appointments? 8/19! Longest wait ever!
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? Backstreet Boys last year! Total boy band fan!

• How far along/EDD? 23wks+6 (11/17)
• How are you feeling this week? Tired, but otherwise good!
• Rants/Raves? Questions? At my appointment last week, they reminded me that I have one more appointment in a month, then I’ll go to every other week. I’m excited, but it kind of freaked me out. I haven’t done ANYTHING to prepare yet! I know I have time still, but 😬.
• Any upcoming appointments? 8/11 MFM, 8/13 OB
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Flaming Lips

• @Kimbrlyg814 That would completely freak me out! Hopefully it is a one time US machine problem! The wait between appointments was so stressful for me until I started feeling the baby move. I hated not knowing if everything was ok. I think IF really causes a lot of anxiety!

@cashewchicken You are so close!! That’s really exciting!

@mtpbadger Hopefully DD will let you have some down time this week. The heat definitely wipes me out!
• @vetgirl2011 it did freak me out! I’m still unsettled because I was able to see everything so clearly at my clinic. I’m glad they got a heartbeat measurement and they were able to get a measurement but when I looked at what they were showing me it looked all black and I didn’t see the beautiful white blob I saw 2 weeks ago. I’m trying to trust them because they were ok with what they saw. But I’m just on edge! On another note, so exciting about being so close to regular visits!!!

@mtpbadger yay for viability!!!!! So exciting! hang in there mama! The heat will hopefully let up soon.

• How far along/EDD? 8w4d, EDD 3/4/2021
• How are you feeling this week? Queasy/nauseous almost all day long. :( One of the nurses from my infertility clinic had suggested B6 supplements, which I have been taking and I think it helps but it doesn't completely remove the queasiness.
• Rants/Raves? Questions? Not this week.
• Any upcoming appointments? No doctor's appointments but we will be doing an after-hours tour of a daycare on Wednesday night. My sister encouraged me to start reaching out last week and I'm so glad she did since a lot of the daycares are already booking into the time that I would need childcare next year -- crazy! I'm very excited about the place we will be touring and as long as we like what we see, I'm ready to put some money down on Wednesday night just to know that I have a spot secured at somewhere we like.
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? I believe the last concert I went to was Hanson String Theory with my sister. Fun but not as good as their 25th Anniversary Tour.
@mtpbadger Congrats on making it to viability! You're more than halfway there.

@cashewchicken Eviction date, lol. August 4 is going to be here before you know it!

@vetgirl2011 You're also more than halfway there. On the other hand, you still have halfway to go. Plenty of time to accomplish all of the baby prep.

@Kimbrlyg814 What a stressful appointment you had today! That sounds like a great heart rate though. I would try not to worry unless they were worried. And I hear you on that long wait in between appointments at this early stage. My last ultrasound was last Monday and I don't have anything until August 11, which will be my first appointment with my OB.

• @laurelew I’m sorry about your nausea! I’ve found Gin Gin’s (ginger chews) helped me on the days it’s been bad. Hoping you get relief!
yes, it was very stressful. I may end up reaching out just to see if I can get a better scan for peace of mind. My last ultrasound pictures literally got me through the last two weeks and I would love to have better pictures to keep me going until the next appointment.
• @Kimbrlyg814 I found that my RE equipment was MUCH better than the OB and all the US were much better at the RE. Only if I get sent to the MFM for monitoring do I get good pictures since their equipment is better.

@vetgirl2011 you still got time to get stuff done! Honestly, as long as you have a few outfits, some diapers, a place for baby to sleep and most importantly a car seat, you’ll be set. We didn’t have anything ready when DD came early and didn’t even have her nursery done until she was almost 8 months old. With this babe we aren’t doing much, since we are planning on moving when they are about 6-7 months, we will keep them in the pack n play till we move and get a bedroom set.

We did go through all our storage units last week and reorganize so all the baby stuff is accessible and I’m sorting thru all the clothes and organizing. I figure it might take me awhile with another little one running around so it’s slow going so far lol. Also, if this little one is a boy he’s going to have a lot of pink toys to play with and will be sleeping in pink sleep sacks bc that’s stuff I’m not willing to rebuy. We have enough gender neutral or hand me downs from my nephew that we should be good on clothes either way
• @mtpbadger Congrats on making it to viability!!! Oh I’m so sorry that your daughter is not napping anymore. Lately my son has been resisting nap time and he definitely naps less than before. I live for the nap time. I need it more than my son does! How else am I going to get stuff done or get some rest midday?
@Kimbrlyg814 Like what @mtpbadger said, probably your RE had a better u/s equipment than your OB office. I’ve noticed that with my OB offices too.
@vetgirl2011 Not to scare you, but it’ll go fast! But you don’t need to prepare a ton. Sure, a nursery will be nice but it’s not necessary. My son is finally getting his room and he’s almost 2.5 years old, lol. You absolutely need a car seat though, you can’t take home your baby without one. If you can get it professionally installed the better. But that might be tricky with the pandemic. If you are doing it yourself, make sure to read both your car manual and the car seat manual.

• @laurelew It’s great that you’re looking into daycare already! My son goes to a large daycare center that is located onsite at my husband’s company and we had no idea that some people even put their name on the waitlist while trying for the baby. We miraculously got our son in even though we didn’t put our name down until I was 7 months along. I think it helped that my son is a March baby. The biggest number of openings happen in August when the oldest kids move up to kindergarten and the younger kids move up the class. So most of his classmates in the infant class were babies ready to start daycare in August (babies born February-April).

• How are you feeling this week? My whole body hurts. Lol. My back, my hips, my feet and I'm tired.
• Rants/Raves? Questions? Rant /Rave - Baby is getting even more active (didn't think that was possible). She's everywhere. Yesterday I laid my hand on my belly and she moved to wherever my hand was. It was adorable. Can't wait for her to have her in my arms but just thinking about makes me extremely nervous! --- SO and I FINALLY started clearing out the rooms upstairs (well he did most of the work) for the contractor to come next week. I can't wait to get the nursery together.
• Any upcoming appointments? OB on 8/11 with ultrasound. Yay!
• GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? Sarah Berrellis. She was amazing. We were supposed to see Keane in Mar/Apr and Elton this month but both were canceled. :(

@cashewchicken - I need to clean too. I really need to clean. I swore that the house would be organized when the baby came and I am soooo far behind! You're so close!!!

@mtpbadger - YAY for viability!!!

@Kimbrlyg814 - My nausea and fatigue completely went away around week 10 or 11. Hopefully yours goes away soon. Sorry about your scary doctor's appointment. I know that would have freaked me out. I remember one appointment it took them a little longer to find the HB, I think I held my breath the entire time. And then when they finally found it I couldn't speak, I just had tears.

@vetgirl2011 - I haven't done anything either! And my doctor wants to induce at week 39 and I have a feeling this little girl is going to come around 38. Time goes by so fast!

@laurelew - Hopefully the queasiness goes away soon. That's crazy about the day care!

• Thank you to everyone who said that they found their RE has better equipment than their OB's office. Helps me mentally prepare for my OB appointment on Aug 11. I seem to recall my OB said at my last GYN appointment that they did not have a vaginal ultrasound machine in the office at the time. Not sure when they switch over to the belly ultrasound and how that all works. It'll be an adventure I'm sure.

@31magnolia Good to hear that your nausea went away at week 10 or 11. I keep trying to count down to week 12, hoping that mine will be gone by then!

@Kimbrlyg814 Do you have a private ultrasound place near you by any chance? My sister went to one near us when she was expecting my nephew that offered different packages including 3D imaging and early gender reveals (not that I need an early gender reveal -- thanks infertility and PGS!). The other benefit of the private ultrasound clinic is that I believe they are still welcoming partners to be present for the ultrasound, something my DH hasn't gotten to experience on account of pandemic procedures. I'm debating scheduling a private ultrasound for my DH's birthday in mid September. If you have a similar place near you it might be worth looking into while you wait for your next OB appointment. Prices go up the later in your pregnancy you are.

Any upcoming appointments? I also had a MW appointment yesterday.

Had GBS test which comes back in 4-7 days, and signed as much of the hospital paperwork as we could ahead of time, so that was nice. Maybe switching pediatricians, so need to call about that. We talked about a bunch more hospital stuff, which kinda stressed me out, like that I will be required to have continuous monitoring due to the vbac, but she assured me the monitor is very unobtrusive and recommended I ask the nurses for a bellyband to hold the sensors on more comfortably, but I am just not looking forward to the whole hospital scene and the medicalized birth experience. Still hoping and praying it can all be as peaceful and low-intervention as possible. 🙏🙏🙏

GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? • @cashewchicken sorry about the false alarm, but great job on the cleaning! I am with you there, where are my cleaning elves to take care of it all for me???? 🤣🤣🤣 The spare room is still a disaster, tho I have two almost full bins of out of season clothes ready for DH to run up to the attic for me. I pulled out the pnp bedding and that's all in the wash; next load is baby's laundry to bring to the hospital (a few pink, blue, and neutral sleepers/gowns/hats, my pink/blue hot air balloon swaddles and green cell blankies) so I can tie a bow on mommy and baby hospital bags. Phew! That feels like a big one.

Congrats on viability! @mtpbadger. That is always a good feeling. DD is still napping but it's been so late lately (like 3:30-5pm yesterday????) I have taken to letting her play in her room after lunch for quiet time, plus possibly laying myself down in the next room for a nap. It's all childproofed and she's in the toddler bed, so whether she naps or plays quietly, at least I can take some down time or work on a project as needed.

@Kimbrlyg814 Congrats again in hearing that HB! Seconding, thirding, fourth-ing that the Obs don't have as high res equipment as the REs. The RE looks at TEENY TINY baby starts day in day out - they have to! The Obs generally are looking at babies several weeks farther along, so they don't tend to have quite as cutting edge stuff, unless you are seeing an MFM (high risk), then they usually do. But it's scary in the meantime! ((((Hugs))))

@vetgirl2011 you have lots of time! My only bit of advice would be just to chip away at things. You may get more energy third trimester, but you may not! Lol so as you start to do a few small things here and there, you'll start to build momentum. You got this!

@laurelew B6 is good, maybe you could also look into getting a pair of seabands, if you haven't tried those already? A lot of people swear by them!

@31magnolia Seeing the nursery come together will be so exciting! I love Sara Barralis, too. I was actually teaching myself, I'm not gonna write you a love song, on the keyboard with one of those YouTube tutorials back in the day lol super fun to rock out to!
