Re: All Trimester Check-in July 27th
Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance
FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018
FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET
@Kimbrlyg814 That would completely freak me out! Hopefully it is a one time US machine problem! The wait between appointments was so stressful for me until I started feeling the baby move. I hated not knowing if everything was ok. I think IF really causes a lot of anxiety!
@cashewchicken You are so close!! That’s really exciting!
- How far along/EDD? 8w4d, EDD 3/4/2021
- How are you feeling this week? Queasy/nauseous almost all day long. One of the nurses from my infertility clinic had suggested B6 supplements, which I have been taking and I think it helps but it doesn't completely remove the queasiness.
- Rants/Raves? Questions? Not this week.
- Any upcoming appointments? No doctor's appointments but we will be doing an after-hours tour of a daycare on Wednesday night. My sister encouraged me to start reaching out last week and I'm so glad she did since a lot of the daycares are already booking into the time that I would need childcare next year -- crazy! I'm very excited about the place we will be touring and as long as we like what we see, I'm ready to put some money down on Wednesday night just to know that I have a spot secured at somewhere we like.
- GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? If music isn't your thing, what was the last movie you saw in the theater? I believe the last concert I went to was Hanson String Theory with my sister. Fun but not as good as their 25th Anniversary Tour.
@mtpbadger Congrats on making it to viability! You're more than halfway there.@cashewchicken Eviction date, lol. August 4 is going to be here before you know it!
@vetgirl2011 You're also more than halfway there. On the other hand, you still have halfway to go. Plenty of time to accomplish all of the baby prep.
@Kimbrlyg814 What a stressful appointment you had today! That sounds like a great heart rate though. I would try not to worry unless they were worried. And I hear you on that long wait in between appointments at this early stage. My last ultrasound was last Monday and I don't have anything until August 11, which will be my first appointment with my OB.
yes, it was very stressful. I may end up reaching out just to see if I can get a better scan for peace of mind. My last ultrasound pictures literally got me through the last two weeks and I would love to have better pictures to keep me going until the next appointment.

@cashewchicken - I need to clean too. I really need to clean. I swore that the house would be organized when the baby came and I am soooo far behind! You're so close!!!
@mtpbadger - YAY for viability!!!
@Kimbrlyg814 - My nausea and fatigue completely went away around week 10 or 11. Hopefully yours goes away soon. Sorry about your scary doctor's appointment. I know that would have freaked me out. I remember one appointment it took them a little longer to find the HB, I think I held my breath the entire time. And then when they finally found it I couldn't speak, I just had tears.
@vetgirl2011 - I haven't done anything either! And my doctor wants to induce at week 39 and I have a feeling this little girl is going to come around 38. Time goes by so fast!
@laurelew - Hopefully the queasiness goes away soon. That's crazy about the day care!
@31magnolia Good to hear that your nausea went away at week 10 or 11. I keep trying to count down to week 12, hoping that mine will be gone by then!
@Kimbrlyg814 Do you have a private ultrasound place near you by any chance? My sister went to one near us when she was expecting my nephew that offered different packages including 3D imaging and early gender reveals (not that I need an early gender reveal -- thanks infertility and PGS!). The other benefit of the private ultrasound clinic is that I believe they are still welcoming partners to be present for the ultrasound, something my DH hasn't gotten to experience on account of pandemic procedures. I'm debating scheduling a private ultrasound for my DH's birthday in mid September. If you have a similar place near you it might be worth looking into while you wait for your next OB appointment. Prices go up the later in your pregnancy you are.

Any upcoming appointments? I also had a MW appointment yesterday.

Had GBS test which comes back in 4-7 days, and signed as much of the hospital paperwork as we could ahead of time, so that was nice. Maybe switching pediatricians, so need to call about that. We talked about a bunch more hospital stuff, which kinda stressed me out, like that I will be required to have continuous monitoring due to the vbac, but she assured me the monitor is very unobtrusive and recommended I ask the nurses for a bellyband to hold the sensors on more comfortably, but I am just not looking forward to the whole hospital scene and the medicalized birth experience. Still hoping and praying it can all be as peaceful and low-intervention as possible. 🙏🙏🙏

GTKY: What was the last concert you went to? I took DH to see Matisyahu down the shore a few years back.

Congrats on viability! @mtpbadger. That is always a good feeling. DD is still napping but it's been so late lately (like 3:30-5pm yesterday????) I have taken to letting her play in her room after lunch for quiet time, plus possibly laying myself down in the next room for a nap. It's all childproofed and she's in the toddler bed, so whether she naps or plays quietly, at least I can take some down time or work on a project as needed.
@Kimbrlyg814 Congrats again in hearing that HB! Seconding, thirding, fourth-ing that the Obs don't have as high res equipment as the REs. The RE looks at TEENY TINY baby starts day in day out - they have to! The Obs generally are looking at babies several weeks farther along, so they don't tend to have quite as cutting edge stuff, unless you are seeing an MFM (high risk), then they usually do. But it's scary in the meantime! ((((Hugs))))
@vetgirl2011 you have lots of time! My only bit of advice would be just to chip away at things. You may get more energy third trimester, but you may not! Lol so as you start to do a few small things here and there, you'll start to build momentum. You got this!
@laurelew B6 is good, maybe you could also look into getting a pair of seabands, if you haven't tried those already? A lot of people swear by them!
@31magnolia Seeing the nursery come together will be so exciting! I love Sara Barralis, too. I was actually teaching myself, I'm not gonna write you a love song, on the keyboard with one of those YouTube tutorials back in the day lol super fun to rock out to!
