    Like @emeraldduchess I prefer tea, but I do like coffee too! In theory I think I prefer iced but I drink it so fast that I don’t enjoy it? So I usually get hot.
  • Loading the player...
  • @bows22 brings up a very interesting point about drinking iced coffee faster than hot.... I do enjoy a nice cup of iced coffee if it's a super hot day and I'm not going to be inside most of it in the AC. I really do prefer to relax and enjoy a nice cup of piping hot coffee! There's something about the experience of it that I really love!

    i like my iced coffee sweet and my hot coffee not as sweet.  both with just the tiniest drop of milk (barely there)

    thanks @inthewoods23 for these GTKY's! i missed yesterdays because i suck at bumping lately, but i love reading through!!!
  • @inthewoods23 I'm the same way! At home it's hot coffee but if we go to Starbucks or DD I love an iced coffee with a drizzle of caramel dropped in!

  • Hot coffee in the morning, but I do love a good iced coffee in the afternoon when it’s warm out! I do coffee with flavored creamer...and it has to be the perfect caramel color! I’d say I’m a C4 in the diagram below, but can go as light as B4!

    @emeraldduchess we still love you! ☺️
    @bows22 @kpearse99 I agree, I drink iced coffee so much faster...then I’m sad when it’s gone! Haha.
    @inthewoods23 I’m the same, way more likely to get iced coffee at Starbucks...unless it is PSL season, they just aren’t quite the same iced!
    @asf0613 so are you saying you are a F5 or E6?!
  • I almost always prefer iced coffee. There are only two exceptions: 1) when I make it at home and 2) when I get a campfire mocha from Caribou Coffee. Only time I drink it hot.

  • @bluetickgal WHOA! That is a crazy coffee color coded chart  :D So... I used to like my coffee the way I like my men... "Light and Sweet"  (Probably C3 or C4) :p  but DH has finally gotten me to the point where I drink my coffee black.

  • @bluetickgal LOVE this chart!
    my coffee is preferably F5/E6... but i will drink it as light as F3/E4 if needed.  if i order coffee out and it comes out lighter than that i actually ask them to fix it because then it just tastes like milk to me
  • Depends on the season for me! If it’s hot out (regardless of if I’m in the a/c or not) I usually want iced coffee. But then all through the fall, winter, and half of the spring it’s hot coffee. I so look forward to that first iced coffee when spring starts to warm up! Splash of milk, no sugar over here! Unless I want a treat, then a vanilla iced coffee is my jam.

    Also: dirty chai lattes. My fave fall/winter treat. Combines my love of chai tea and my love of coffee treats all into one cozy mug!

    @bluetickgal what a fun chart!! I probably hover around E4 if I’m making it myself, but if it’s strong coffee or I’m ordering from somewhere it’s usually E3.
  • @asf0613 I've got a list with the help of @kpearse99!

    @bluetickgal I think I fall somewhere in the diagonal from E/F to 5/6. I like somewhere in the half way area.

    There are so many factors! If its morning at home then hot. If we go to Caribou/Starbucks it's probably iced, unless I'm feeling cold. In the winter it's almost always hot unless I'm more thirsty than under-caffeinated.

    @chindimples04 you have Caribou too? I'm in MN so it's a staple here but people on TB don't usually know it.

  • Ditto @runningoncookies, depends on the season. And also if I'm home or out. Starbucks always= hot coffee or hot chocolate, DD depends. I LOVE Wawa iced coffee (for those who have Wawa, the mocha mint is my jam and is basically melted ice cream in coffee). But I love having a hot cup of coffee in the morning when I can just sit and enjoy it.
  • @bluetickgal I’ve seen that chart before. I love it! I’m a solid C4 if I make it at home.

    @krash_ yes! I’m in west WI! I definitely prefer Caribou to Starbucks any day!

  • @emeraldduchess I have always been a tea bag person, but that's also because I'm not equipped to make loose leaf tea!

    I used to buy Caribou coffee (DH always like it). Then we had iced coffee bought for us from Dunkin Donuts and that became our coffee. Smooth stuff!

  • Ditto to @runningoncookies and @_orchid_ it depends on the season for me. I drink iced once it gets above about 75, so I am peak iced coffee season now.

    @bluetickgal I love this chart! I'm a solid C3-4.

    Does anyone else collect coffee mugs? I have quite a few and I like to trade them out depending on my mood. When I pull out my "WITCHES BREW" mug its either Halloween or MH should avoid me lol
  • @bbrahmbhatt I’m always selecting the “right” coffee mug based on my mood!
  • I didn't start making loose-leaf tea until I found a brand that doesn't make all their flavors available in tea bags or sachets.  :D I honestly don't favor one over another, although I know loose-leaf creates less waste.
  • Hot coffee. Also Tim Hortons coffee is FAR superior to DD.

    Oh wow, like so many have said, I drink iced coffee way too fast but I do love it. I live in extremes over here. Iced I prefer as cold brew but has anyone tried the dolgona coffee (whipped instant coffee + sugar + water over ice)? It's delightful! For hot coffee, I either drink it black or I get a decaf dirty chai latte lol. We have a Nespresso machine at home so I can make those myself, hot or iced. I get the torani syrups at home, too. I have been drinking decaf for 3.5 years for a particular and temporary health/circumstance and it makes me sad lol so some days I don't drink any.

  • @kvh22 I have the french vanilla Torani syrup! Great way to add flavor. I don't even really use sugar in my coffee anymore. I used to load up my coffee at home with sugar because it always was so bitter, no matter how much creamer I tried using. I've gotten so much better with the coffee to creamer/milk ratio and the splash of vanilla helps eliminate my need for sugar.

    @bbrahmbhatt I try to get one for my collection whenever we travel! I like it b/c then I think back to the trip and all of my favorite memories from it :)

  • I was always team hot coffee until I tried iced lattes. While visiting my parents this past week, my mom took me to McDonalds (they have no local coffee shops) to get a giant iced latte after our morning run/hike each morning and now I'm obsessed. I also tried a cold brew iced coffee at Sonic and that was amazing, too. I need to learn how to make all these because it's becoming expensive now that I'm back home... but, hey, support local business, right?

    @bluetickgal I agree with you, I'm somewhere between B4 and C4
    @bbrahmbhatt I collect mugs, too! DH hates this habit, but I feel like we should just clear out all the other crap in our cabinets so I can have hundreds of 15 oz. mugs

  • I dont drink coffee very often as it makes me sick but I do like it and drink it when I can. I so love iced coffees in the summer from McDonalds or Starbucks etc with the whipped cream and caramel drizzle. I will also drink hot coffee at home once in a while or hot coffee during Christmas time from Starbucks with their yummy seasonal drinks.
