Rant/Rave: Rave: I love that I can feel our little guy kicking all of the time! Rant: Work is exhausting and I just want to eat and sleep by the time I get home.

Upcoming Appointments: 11/30 for regular OB appointment plus 1 hour glucose test.

Rant/Rave: I had my appointment with MFM place for the fetal echocardiogram yesterday and it just irritated me. For starters, they spent forever going over medical history and making all kinds of recommendations for my care despite the fact that they aren’t my OB and I’ve already discussed all plans for care with my actual OB. Then they did what felt like an anatomy scan which I’ve already had done and wasn’t requested by my OB before telling me that his heart was too small still to be able to do an echo. Like WTF???? I literally only came for an echo and now you’re saying he’s too young for it still???? I sent an email to my OB about this but the one I regularly communicate with was out on vacation so the one I haven’t met responded to my email instead and I didn’t feel like she really understood my annoyance or concerns over costs for unnecessary things that insurance may not cover at 100%. Ugh.

GTKY: If money was no object, what would you do all day? Definitely travel with my husband and kids! All over the world! Try the best foods in every country and take in all the different cultures. ❤️

Baby is the size of: Coconut, I think? Yesterday the daily fact was "Mr. Potato Head" and I was like whaaat who writes these???

Upcoming Appointments: my 24-week check-up is next week from tomorrow (the 31st), which is also my next med checkup with my GP and my wedding anniversary. And D&D, probably; we should decide if we're playing D&D that Friday.

Rant/Rave: Y'all I am just feeling very full. Between the baby and some mild constipation, it feels like there's already not enough room in me. Also I cannot get my husband to engage in the baby name conversation, lol. I think at this stage he's mostly goofing off because I'm impatient about it, but I'm like let's pick a name! Let's do this!

GTKY: If money was no object, what would you do all day?

I'd like to travel more than we do, which is 100% a money thing. I'd write a lot more; if money were no object, I'd be more engaged in being a writer than I have been since I decided that technical/freelancing writing wasn't going to be the professional avenue for me. I manage our knowledgebase documentation at work, so I have a nice balance of things I enjoy, but y'know. It's not fiction.

@scatteringashes My husband is driving me crazy with his disinterest in coming up with baby names! He doesn’t really like any of the names I like, but doesn’t want to help come up with any yet either. Ugh!

@vetgirl2011 Last time we had settled on oury daughter's first name pretty quickly, but he also was new to the whole thing -- now he's like "shenanigans" and just doesnt feel any urgency to it. And it's not, like, urgent, I just like to get these things done.

That said, we call the baby Goose and I think he just likes that.
