Haven't had a chance to post here for the last 2 days because work had me like 🤯. But I've been catching up on everything that's happening in the evenings.

@Kenneylynn3 the chart looks good; what app are you using?

@inthewoods23 really enjoyed your alternate names for HIO & BD the last couple of days. 🙃Taking your lead (see below). Also what are you doing GF & DF diet for? Thinking about taking @krash_ lead and doing the Whole30.

@krash_ & @_orchid_ +1 on HIO EOD; DH has a bit of an issue with his swimmers and we were told that's the way to go. Last month we decided to do the complete opposite (ED) and it didn't work; this month we're back to what was prescribed.

Not really a rant... patiently awaiting appointment with my OB to discuss Hashimoto's and what that all means. It's on Tuesday. Also had a financing conversation with an RE yesterday... the difference in self-pay prices & what is billed to insurance is astonishing. My first RE appointment is booked for Jul 21 and a couple more the week after (shopping around given all the horror stories I've read on IF thread and elsewhere; will probably post to that thread soon). Also have an appointment with an OB next week who is certified in NaPro... apparently I can do a whole bunch of testing with them under the umbrella of "establishing root cause of infertility" which can be billed to my insurance.

CS/Q: it's interesting how different my chart looks Tempdrop (FF) vs Premom bbt (Pre-mom app). Rocky Mountains vs. Great Plains. Interestingly, my RHR is higher this month by 4-5 beats (normally it dips below 40 pre-ovulation). I wonder what it'll do during O & post-O. Also, LH is surging so it's "business time" this weekend!

Honestly just use Instagram for catching up on what friends are doing; I did somewhat of a social media purge last year: got rid of Snap, Twitter, and Instagram. I ended up re-installing instagram later cause some of my friends only post there. Also... it's the only place where my ex's family still "follows" me so I made sure to post my wedding photos there. 😝(He did me so wrong.)

Oh, this is a good question! I follow so many different types of accounts. I love following Chip and Joanna Gaines. I have a lot of dance accounts I follow and dog accounts I follow. I really love snarkybreeders.

@acleverusername I've used My Period Tracker since college. This is the screen shots I take off my chart. I also download premom this cycle to keep track of my opk's, but then realized they were expired 😆😢

@chindimples04 enjoy your "get-away" or rather "get-out-of-the-house-away". In what ways is their house a paradise?

@Kenneylynn3 cool! Are you getting new OPKs? I use Clue to track my periods (have done that since 2014(?)) but switched to Premom when I got their thermometer. I love the Premom app to be honest... very versatile. I "supplement" with FF because of the chart comparison options; that's a really powerful feature. But now I've got 3 apps on the go! A bit over the top, but I find each is good in its own way; not one does everything I want it to do.

@acleverusername long story short, after my failed FET last year we did a couple tests to determine if there was a reason behind the failure. We had our embryos tested so we know they were normal. After testing and the biopsy everything came back normal - the timing of the transfer was good, there was no inflammation detected (so no mild endo). For patients that fall into that category, my RE has them go on a gluten and dairy free diet for at least 3 months before doing another transfer. Apparently this makes the next one work 100% of the time and she also doesn't know why *shrug*. I was supposed to have a 2nd transfer at the end of March but ended up cancelling with Covid (although I could have gone through with it if I wanted to). In the first few weeks after starting the diet, I noticed I was losing weight (I'm down 20lbs in 6 months now) and realized I must have always been constantly bloated to some degree because that area is looking better too. *TMI* also less #2 when I'd used the bathroom which is what really triggered the thought that maybe my body has been working against us this entire time since it's now functioning better. So with the cancellation of the transfer, we decided to take a break with the RE and just try naturally for a few months and then go back if we don't find success. I was even wondering if it could take just an IUI to find success if we don't on our own. DH and I are just enjoying the slower pace of things now.

@chindimples04 you literally can't go wrong following all sorts of pet accounts! I follow so many cats, hedgehogs, and a few dogs -including boopmynose which is all close ups of dog noses

R/R: well the BBQ went..... fine. DH brought up the GF and DF brownies that we brought so we got to talking about the diet and my MIL rudely decides to ask why I'm on the diet. Cue silence and staring at DH because I am super uncomfortable talking about it with family. Eventually she said "don't want to say?". Yeah, absolutely not. And the funny thing is, my mom has never probed further beyond me saying it's doctor recommended AND last weekend she bought my vegan butter, GF pancake mix, and was nice and accommodating. Meals with the ILs? Nope, here's a roll, pasta salad, and normal butter for your corn on the cob. And I KNOW they know so what the hell??

CS/Q: still no sign of O yet, CM is getting there so I'd expect O by Monday, but my OPKs still haven't changed so I'm probably looking at a longer cycle this time around.

@inthewoods23WTF with your ILs?! Honestly, I’m sorry that’s happening to you. Some ppl are just so self absorbed and have 0 empathy! I ain’t got time for that, and it’s sooooo much harder when it’s your family. How does YH deal with that?

Also, thanks for that detail re: diet. Have you been tested for gluten intolerance / celiac disease? Do you have any thyroid issues? I’ve been reading more and more about my new thyroid situation and apparently celiac and Hashimoto's have a similar pathology and are often observed together. Funny enough, I’ve done the 23andMe health test (includes heath and ancestry) and at the top of my dashboard it says I’m _more likely_ to have celiac disease. Anywho, totally gonna try Whole30 which includes GF and DF plus a bunch of other stuff. DH is on board to do it with me, thank god!

@acleverusername haven't been tested for it yet. I did talk to my doc about the possibility but she told it I'd have to be eating gluten for 8 weeks before they'd do the test! So I'll likely hold off on doing that until next year or something. My thyroid was fine when they checked it. I'll have to look back to be sure though.

Funny enough, my ILs took 4 years to have DH and another 4 for his sister (which was by insemination). So.... leave us the hell alone right? lol

@acleverusername GL with Whole30! Both my TSH and T4 seem to be fine. T4 is on the very low end of normal I guess. I wish I could get DH more on board with my diet just to make it easier. It's not too bad though with having to make my version of something and the normal version. He's on board with the GF and DF brownie mix my mom found so that's good. Other stuff though.... he's noping right out of there. The vegan cheese is honestly the worst part of this diet. It sucks more than the dry GF bread.

@inthewoods23 ugh!!! My mom accidentally gave me a cupcake with a WHOLE STICK OF BUTTER in it! I was hurting the next few days! Granted her’s was accidental and your ILs most certainly was not.

@acleverusername the have a custom build geo dome on 28 acres with gardens surrounding the entire thing! Pics in the spoilers. It’s literally the most peaceful place on earth, I swear!

@acleverusername my friend used Clue for awhile. I won't get new opk's until I'm sure this cycle doesn't work since O should be today. Between the two,I feel like they cover everything I need.

@inthewoods23 that sounds awful! I am also interested in how your dh responds/deals with it? I'm sorry your IL's are so unsupportive, but your mom sounds amazing! I hope this diet helps you.

@acleverusername this is our third Whole30 so it was an easy thing to add into our list of things to get KU. There are a lot of things in the processed foods we eat normally that can affect your hormones, soy especially and it’s hidden in everything. I would start by reading or listening to It Starts With Food. It’s been years since I listened to it but it was so informative and gives you the how and why for doing the Whole30 which makes it easier to stick to. It really is an elimination diet not meant for long term. After eliminating everything you can slowly add things back into your diet to see how they affect your body and then tailor your everyday diet to what makes you feel best.

Well, it looks like O is today instead of Monday/Tuesday as I had expected. I think I missed my "true" LH surge owing to the fact I didn't test for 12 hours yesterday and I have a rapid onset surge so if I blink I miss it. But the CM is lining up w/ it being today, and I also had the worst cramps overnight (mittelshmerz?) So, depending on what my bbt does tomorrow, I might be hopping over to TWW.

@acleverusername it used to be gradual, but now it seems to be pretty quick. The Premom ratio stays around 0.2 and I know it's going to happen in a day or 2 when it gets slightly darker around 0.3. When I test in the afternoon or next morning it jumps up to around 0.9 and I'll get the peak reading 1 or 2 tests later. O traditionally has been between CD17-19 so it's not like I'm way off with O at the moment

So I believe I should be heading over to TWW as well. Cm/cp lines up for O yesterday or Friday. Does anyone want to chime in on my chart? My temp dipped and went back up, but back to where it's normally at, not the increase I assumed would happen. This is my first time charting BBT, so I am just looking for a few others opinions/ thoughts. Just wondering if you think the temp shifts says when ovulation would've likely been and if you think it looks like O occurred. TIA!

@Kenneylynn3 I would say that if your temp continues to rise than it’s accurate to say you O’ed on Friday. I’ve only been charting since March so not very experienced at it, and also, every body is different; some ppl don’t get the bbt spike at all. It takes a few cycles to start to see your own pattern.Which, I get, is not helpful to you right now. However, bbt for me is a “tertiary” indicator since it’s a lagging one. So if your CM and OPKs were bang on, go by that.

@acleverusername thank you. It's differently helpful to look at others charts to get an idea of what I'm looking at. CM/CP is mainly what I'm going by as my opk's I discovered not too long ago are expired. I am still using them, but I don't have much faith in them, as for awhile I had no test line. Finally last night I had one that read a .5 on premom and this morning that read .35.... This afternoon it was blank again. I guess I'll see what my temp is in the morning.

@inthewoods23 That is so hard when family or friends do not respect your dietary needs. I have several friends who have celiac disease and I am always surprise how people do not seem to care about their special needs. My friend once ordered a salad at the place, said she had celiac disease so notw bread with it. The salad did not come with bread on the side, but there was a large helping of croutons right on top! The waitress rudely told her to pick them off and she had to explain she could be hospitalized if there were even crumbs in her food. Good luck navigating your diet with your ILs.

@DoubleUp8 we had a scare with my cousin who is allergic to peanuts (or tree nuts I think) a few years ago but the staff was very nice about it! We were celebrating another cousin's birthday having lunch out and he just ordered a salad and I'm pretty sure he checked with the waitress on what was included in it to be safe, but eventually he noticed what turned out to be some crushed pecan or walnut in it. So we're all sitting there like "are you feeling ok? Do you have your epi on you??". I'm pretty sure they offered to get him the right salad but I think at that point he just wasn't hungry. He wasn't that hungry to begin with for the meal hence getting the salad over something else.

My friend is SUPER diligent and kind of demanding when it comes to her daughter's egg allergy too. I mean she kind of grills them to make sure eggs aren't included in anything since she's deathly allergic. Poor guy at Red Robin was not doing his due diligence in confirming her questions one time when we went out because he was just like "i'm pretty sure the fries would not be in contact with any eggs" and my friend made him to back to the kitchen twice because the first time he wasn't giving a 100% answer. I'm not sure they've ever required using her Epi pen, but I know she's told me that allergen info sheets for some restaurants are not correct.

I'm thankful I just need to avoid gluten and dairy as much as possible and don't require having to ask kitchens to scrub all their surfaces before making my food.
