How are you feeling: Pretty good

Rants/Raves: I can’t believe it’s almost halfway through. — When I had DS, DH, my Mom and twin sister were in the delivery room. I’m super close to my twin. My older sister thinks now it’s “her turn” without even asking and I don’t want her in the room. I was in the room when my twin had my niece along with her DH and my Mom. Our older sister thinks that’s what’s fair but it’s definitely not in my game plan, if we can even have anyone besides significant others. She has yet to even ask how I’m feeling. She only wants to say she was there and have the glory for herself. Covid might save me on this because if not, it’s gonna be WW3.

How are you feeling: I’m still very tired, but I think it’s now from exhaustion. It’s been a mentally exhausting summer. Baby moves a few times a day and it’s great reassurance.

Rants/Raves: I’m just so fed up with how selfish people are. I know we won’t be going back to normal anyone soon, but we could get close if people worked together and put aside their differences and listened to scientists. I realize now more the ever how important STEM and health education is.

GTKY: What show/documentary/movie do you recommend the rest of us watch on cable/streaming? I’m watching Perry Mason now, it’s pretty good- a bit hard to watch at times. We watch mostly kids shows around here. Has anyone seen Elmo’s not too late show? I’m probably more excited about it then I should be 😂

@jbal918 sorry for the issues with your sis. I’ve never understood why people feel they have a right to be in the delivery room. I imagine you won’t have to have the fight, which how thing are going. For me, I’m more
worried I’ll be giving birth alone 😳

@jbal918 no, I feel like in TX they might let me have a whole party 😅 But in reality we have no family in the area so we’re trying to figure out what we can do with DD who will be 2. We don’t feel safe asking anyone to come out with how many cases we have here. There is a dula service that will stay with kids.... I’m considering that. 🤷🏼‍♀️

How are you feeling: Generally good, just some ab / pelvic achiness setting in. I’m nervous about being even more limited with my workouts but I just bought a belly and so I’m hoping that helps.

Rants/Raves: I just cannot believe the state of this country sometimes. Trying so hard not to bring up politics but it is a constant weight on me whenever I look at the news. I just hope things change soon...

Babies! On Netflix. It was really fascinating and so applicable! It was great for the pregnant science nerd that I am 😂

@jbal918 I think you should gently her know that you’d like the same experience with the same people (if you can) as your last birth lol nip it in the butt now. Say she will be the first you call once baby is out! That way it’s not an awkward rest of your pregnancy with building tension!

How are you feeling: the exultation isn’t as bad as first trimester but I deff never got a burst of energy like other people lol I still sleep in and nap whenever I get the chance!

Rants/Raves: rant. DH is out of town for work again and usually I’m super great when he goes (because I can do the things I don’t usually when he is home like do yoga every day and grab lunch with my friends more etc) but because of COVID I can’t really do that and then being pregnant and having more emotions than normal this time I just can’t seem to remain as positive as I have in the past. I miss him and I feel like I’m not only being jipped of normal pregnancy fun things because of covid but I’m also kind of going through it alone.

Questions: anyone else feel huge already?

How are you feeling: Ok! Intermittent nausea on an empty stomach. Still not feeling much movement so that makes me anxious, but baby looked good and squirmy on a handheld US 2 weeks ago.

Rants/Raves: @jchpg I agree with you 100%. I didn’t think I could lose any more faith in Americans after an event in 2016, but now ... I live in Arizona, which is currently the dumbest state in the country. I’m legitimately afraid to leave the house because of imbeciles who refuse to wear masks (or even one man who gave me a threatening look for WEARING a mask). It’s also 112° today so not much outdoor activity happening. I feel trapped by weather and stupid people.

GTKY: What show/documentary/movie do you recommend the rest of us watch on cable/streaming? I just finished Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce — it was pretty entertaining, if a little frustrating. And for any fellow sci fi/fantasy nerds, Warrior Nun and Old Guard on Netflix are both good!

@jbal918 I’m sorry your older sister feels entitled! I have a similar situation with my SIL...she thinks she’s going to be in the delivery room this time instead of my sister?! But so far, we can only have one person in the room and that’s only if we BOTH test negative for COVID day-of. So I highly doubt it’s going to be an issue. Finger crossed!

@sejica Sorry to hear you’re having a hard time. I totally get it, when I really start dwelling on how COVID is impacting my pregnancy, an experience I’ll likely never re-do, I can get really down too. We’re always here for support and venting. It’s helped me a lot to have a place to put those feelings. ❤️
