Trying to Get Pregnant

R/R: I forgot how miserable my period symptoms were. First cycle in 23 months and I didn’t miss it AT ALL. Also still have a headache from my dog ramming into me. It’s also going to be 105 degrees today, so I’m just full of complaints today. But, my replacement deck boards are in so I’m pumped about that! Just have to let them dry for a few weeks before I can paint them up and get it looking like new!

CS/Q: My temp drop happened this morning, so that’s the only thing on my chart.

    WAYDTGKU: things

R/R: I'm back from the depths of the pit of despair. I don't know what it was yesterday, but I was feeling bummed out on Monday and then DH made a comment about the fresh towels I put in the bathroom yesterday morning. Both of us have known that the cat was napping on top of our stack in the closet (it's always open as 1 of her litter boxes is in there) and it just so happened that his towel was the one she was laying on so when he got out of the shower yesterday to dry off he essentially wiped his face with cat hair and he was upset about it. He says I didn't warn him, however, I did tell him from the bathroom that I was putting new towels in there. Cue the tears and sniffling. This progressed to full on crying and went back and forth doing that the ENTIRE work day. I just was not consolable (not that DH was really trying because he sucks at that). So yeah, just that on top of all the other feelings I've had over the last couple days. Plus things on TB just seem to be really getting to me right now.

CS/Q: FF still has dotted CHs on CD8. Hoping for a positive OPK so that it shifts.

WAYDTGKU: HIO during fertile period, temping with Tempdrop, OPKs, CM, seed cycling, PNVs, myo-inositol/ d-chiro-inositol (for PCOS), COQ10, Proov testing, trying out castor oil packs, and started taking melatonin to naturally boost progesterone production.

R/R: I mentally crashed yesterday after getting my blood test results back but feel better today thanks to support in this group.🤗 In the grand scheme of things, I know I'm doing all the right things (figuring out what's wrong, lining up appointments w/ OB & RE). The waiting is what's killing me: got the test results on Monday, but I don't get to discuss them with OB until next Tuesday because that's the earliest appointment available. Then again, it appears that ttc is a whole lot of waiting. Anywho, today is another day. I have an appointment with my fertility acupuncturist today and I've sent her my results ahead of the appointment so I'll see what she has to say.

I'm also now questioning my previous PCOS diagnosis (from 2009; ultrasound showed cysts) since all of my bloodwork came back "normal" for male hormones and in fact my testosterone was below the reference range. I wonder if I'm taking some supplements that I shouldn't be taking.

Lots of questions, and I need to wait a bit longer to get answers.

CS/Q: Nothing interesting on the chart since yesterday so I'll omit for today esp since it'll be another 7-8 days before I ovulate. Has anyone heard of the Creighton method?

  • @chindimples04 yay for the deck but boo for all AF symptoms mental and physical

@inthewoods23 sorry you're feeling all the things.  and its especially frustrating when something so little derails you because of other things going on.  internet hugs

@acleverusername TTC is literally the waiting game and its the worst, but youre right, you're doing EVERYTHING you can so hopefully that gives you some peace of mind.

R/R: my allergies came back in full force yesterday after going into my company's other office for a few hours.  im wondering if its the lack of cleaning that got to me?  ive been on a Rx thats been doing wonders for my seasonal allergies (after a bunch of trial and error this spring) so i was caught off guard that i was miserable yesterday. not going into the office today, but i will be working at the restaurant tonight, so hoping it clears up ASAP

CS/Q: soo i had a peak on my strips on CD16, but did not get a temp rise today as expected so i'm a little confused.  further, i got another high reading this morning.  posting on OPK help thread and scratching my head in the meantime. doesnt help my temps have been super wonky

@chindimples04 boo to AF. My dog has a hard ass head so sorry for the headache. I have thought she has broken my nose multiple times.
@inthewoods23 I'm sorry you're having a tough few days. I felt that way with MH on Sunday. Please let us know if there is something specific here that is contributing to your feelings. If we need to make a change or even just have a GIF party to boost morale we can!
@acleverusername you are doing everything right! I hope you can get more insight from your Dr soon.
@asf0613 it would suck but maybe you didn't O yet. It might have just been an LH surge. Have you been checking CM? I would keep HIO.

@chindimples04 105😮 that’s awful, I’m sorry! Not going to complain about being 90 now. Yay for your deck boards though!

@inthewoods23 A face full of cat hair sounds awful but not your fault!! But I know what you mean about not being able to get past a crummy feeling. I’m going to send you a PM also

@acleverusername the waiting during TTC is so infuriating. Especially when it’s something like waiting for an appointment out of someone else’s (your doctors office) convenience versus waiting for your own body or test results! I’m glad you are feeling better though

@asf0613 I hope you start to feel better! I’ll go check out the OPK thread but hopefully you see the jump tomorrow!

@krash_ glad you are starting to see some results from whole 30 already! Even if they aren’t all totally pleasant haha.

R/R:  I woke up at 4 with awful period cramps. I used to get them really bad in high school and my early 20s and I had forgotten how terrible they were. I finally found some Aleve and was able to fall asleep and then overslept. Not a great start to the day. I woke up feeling like crap but am feeling pretty good now so at least I got some rest even though I feel like I’m running behind. AF always kicks my butt but this seems even worse than normal. My rave is that I got cancelled for my client today so at least I can bleed in the privacy of my own home!

    CS/Q:

  • @chindimples04 sorry you’re feeling grouchy today, but yay for the deck boards!!

@inthewoods23 sorry you’ve been feeling so down!

@acleverusername I’m glad that you’re feeling a little bit better! The waiting really is the hardest part. Hopefully your doctor will have some good insight next week!

@asf0613 booo for allergies!! Very weird that your temp didn’t jump up. Keep HIO and hopefully you see it soon!

@krash_ I’m glad you’re feeling good about Whole30! It’s so interesting to see what our bodies do when we switch up eating habits!

@bows22 sorry for the cramps! I’m glad you can at least hang at home today.

He found this little cabin on a private lake a few hours away from us so we don’t have to worry about people being near us. I’m excited for a relaxing long weekend of hiking, swimming, and drinking (lol).

    CS/Q: nothing interesting

  • @runningoncookies that sounds like a perfect weekend! Enjoy!
@bows22 I commiserate on the pain. 😭 Let’s all get KU so we don’t have to deal with it anymore, deal?
@krash_ I love a good *cleanse*. Glad you are feeling like it’s working!
@asf0613 My OPKs and temps were super confusing last cycle, too.
@acleverusername hopefully your acupuncturist has a few answers for you so you don’t have to wait so long!
@inthewoods23 I am so sorry your mind and emotions are messing with you! ❤️ Try to be easy on yourself.

@inthewoods23 I can totally relate to getting upset over seemingly little things. TTC is such a roller coaster of emotions!

@acleverusername TTC is a whole lot of waiting! Between that and the pandemic, I don't know how I'd get through each day without TB

@bows22 Yay for getting to hang out at home and suffer privately!

I love Menage a Trois wines and, while I don't typically enjoy Pinot Grigio, they have one called Limelight that has key lime flavors and it is yummy! I drank almost half the bottle last night, so I'll probably drink the other half tonight since I'm in the FW.

My rant is... *TW* pregnancy/loss mentioned

I found out today that one of my favorite yoga instructors is pregnant and due around the time I would have been due. I didn't think I'd be so upset 2 weeks later, but I may try a different instructor for awhile. It sucks because yoga is supposed to be my safe space!

  • Day totally got away from me with my coworker on PTO! I was on top of everything today. That's what she said  :D

@chindimples04 :D that was also me coming off the pill. Just ugh, I do not miss the torrential flow in the first 2 days and the cramps that come with it! My change in diet seems to keep the cramps to a minimal pain. I used to always need Midol on days 1 and 2 and now I can get through the day without it if I have to.

@acleverusername I was just telling my therapist... I'm pretty sure the total amount of waiting I've done with the RE equates to nearly a year at this point. UGH. It sucks. Like I don't even want to hear people complain about not conceiving within 6 months naturally. That's nothing compared to the waiting with testing and just getting to the treatments.

@asf0613 oh no! Not the allergies again!

@krash_ glad you're enjoying Whole30! It's weird doing a diet change and noticing just how different things feel.

@bows22 I definitely cracked up at your "bleed in the privacy of my own home"  :D

@runningoncookies omg that sounds the exact kind of vacation I need! Actually that's normally what our vacation is with DH's family that got cancelled. Can't go wrong with a secluded vacay!

@mamasloth that wine does sound good! I really like anything with lime in it. That sucks about your yoga instructor. Definitely step away from their classes for as long as you need to. I haven't experienced a loss, but I took about a month to finally be at peace with our FET failure. Could've been the road trip vacation DH and I went on. It was sooo needed at the time.

  • I had to post and ghost today but really wanted to check back here and say THANK you for all the support.
@chindimples04 AF pain is the worst for sure. I still have flashbacks to specific episodes of it being so bad.
@inthewoods23 *hugs* to you; I'm sorry you had an emotional day but sometimes we just need to cry it out. I hope YH is okay with giving you that space.
@krash_ Glad that Whole30 is clearing you out! You've actually got me thinking about trying it.
@asf0613 I poked in on the OPK help thread and agree that today's was definitely the peak. Hopefully you get the temp spike tomorrow!
@bows22 hooray for "bleeding in private"; hopefully no more cramps today.
@runningoncookies your weekend plans sound fantastic and I hope you have a great and relaxing time away.
@mamasloth that wine sounds delicious! I'll have to pick up a bottle. It should be perfect for a summer day!
