Re: WTO Weekend 7/4-7/5
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: benched until August
R/R: So we're pretty sure we have a bees nest, possibly in a wall. There was a big black wasp in the house on the window 2 nights ago and then yesterday afternoon, there were 3 more inside the same room. The only produce is that we have identified them as mud daubers, which are non-aggressive wasps that rarely sting except in self-defense. I tried calling an exterminator yesterday but of course, with it being a holiday weekend, no one can come out until Monday. DH killed the ones in the house and we duck taped where we think they might be coming in on that window. Here's hoping I don't see any more in the house between now and then. Have I ever mentioned my paralyzing fear of bees and wasps? Suffice it to say, my anxiety was ramped up all night. I probably glanced at that window no less than 200 times during the evening while we watched Hamilton (which was INCREDIBLE btw!!!!).
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th?
No. My extended family is huge and always parties in the 4th of July as a big camp out. We're actively avoiding that family party because there are going to be so many people there, no one will be wearing masks, and I don't trust their ability to social distance. It's just way too big a risk, even with as few cases as there are in this area. My parents and sister will be there though, so we've told them that we won't see them for two weeks because of the size of the party. We're staying home, grilling out, and having a quiet weekend to ourselves.

R/R: nothing really... Just trying to not over analyze my chart right now
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? We are secluding ourselves at my mom's because my dog is terrified of loud noises. My wife had to stay home so she could go to work. I guess it's non-stop fireworks there.
CS/Q:
First time temping and I'm horrible at it.
@Kenneylynn3 poor pupper! Hope they can make it through the night without too much panic. We had a few go off near us yesterday or the day before...my cat is mostly un-phased. She goes on alert with the first one but then acts like everything is normal after.
Month/Cycle: 3 years

WAYDTGKU: HIO with Conceive Plus and menstrual cup, supplements, GF and DF diet, temping, OPKs
R/R: so.... CD10 is tomorrow and that's when I normally start testing OPKs. This is going to be weird staying at my parents tonight. We share the bathroom with my sister and BIL. Wish me luck lol. Thankfully no one is one to barge in while someone is showering. But I'll have to dispose of the cup and test discretely. Or I'll stash them in a zip lock and take it home with me
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? Just going out to my parents for the weekend. We're doing chicken teriyaki kabobs with onion, peppers, pineapple, and mushroom for dinner!
CS/Q: I'm happy my temps haven't been too wild with how hot it is in the house. We FINALLY turned the AC on Thursday. Yes we went all of June without AC.

@Kenneylynn3 Hopefully being away from the noise of the fireworks is helpful! It sucks that your wife couldn't join you!
@inthewoods23 I definitely recommend stashing stuff in a zip lock and taking it with you. You never know what someone might find and later question you about, even if just by accident. Kebabs sound delicious! I might have to convince my husband to get some stuff so we can have some next week! I'm glad your temps haven't gone crazy and you're adjusting to the new house temps!

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, prenatals + supplements, BBT charting, CM/position tracking
R/R: I'm really happy that I'm able to enjoy my weekend without stressing about my midterms anymore. I have a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge that I planned on enjoying last night BUT I fell asleep before I could drink any. I'm probably going to start testing with OPKs earlier this cycle and test through a good portion of my cycle just because of how absolutely wonky last cycle was. Thankfully I still have SO MANY of them from a big (cheap) bulk order around Christmas time.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? My dad is coming to town to grill out and help us install some new cabinets (instead of the old floating shelves we had before).

R/R: I FINALLY got a high reading on my OPK today. I normally O by the 14th so this cycle is messing with me.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? Nope. I'm Canadian so we had our celebration on the 1st:)
CS/Q: For those of you who use an advanced OPK, how long after a high reading do you typically O?

WAYDTGKU: BD, BBT and OPK charting
R/R: rant - Now benched for this month
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th?
we’re headed to the pool shortly and then grilling out and doing fireworks with the neighbors
CS/Q: nope
@ashaislurking so far he is only dealing with thunder, so that's good. Hopefully testing more during this cycle gives some insight. Enjoy your wine!
@Panaceia No experience, but best of luck!
@BuckeyeNut05 sorry you're benched. Have fun at the pool!
@Panaceia the high/peak reading is very personal. For some ppl (me for example) I have a rapid LH surge so I go from Low > High > Peak > High within 24 hours. So as I approach ovulation, I have to test 2-3 times a day. For that reason, I don’t like using Advanced OPKs... it gets too expensive. Also Happy Belated Canada Day! I’m from Canada but living in the US so I celebrate both on the 1st and on the 4th! Muahahahaha.

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, Temping and charting using my tempdrop and CM.
R/R: Rave - we finally found the perfect lot to build our house on after 7 years of waiting! We even got a bit below asking which is rare in our area. 3 acres and pretty much everything we were looking for! Currently just waiting on the appraisal now. Rant - we’re traveling right when I’m projected to ovulate this cycle and while we should be fine I’m still annoyed. I’ve read that travel shouldn’t have an effect on ovulation but I’m still a little paranoid about the timing of everything.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? We’re having some friends and family over later this evening for burgers and fireworks!
CS/Q:
@Panaceia Ovulation can happen up to five days after your first positive OPK (which would be either a high or a peak reading on an advanced OPK I believe) but generally 24-36 hours later is more common. This is why a lot of people either BBT chart or they HIO every other day for about a week after a positive OPK result.
@BuckeyeNut05 I'm sorry to hear that you're benched! What happened (if you don't mind sharing)?
@luckylemon1018 The really nice thing about timing BD while traveling during your fertile window is that sperm can live for several days (up to 5 days in the right conditions). Even if you can only time it to where you can BD twice within the 5 days before, day of, and day after that's still not terrible odds. I'm glad you found some nice land for your house!

@ashaislurking enjoy that wine! You deserve it!
@Panaceia I O’d SUPER late last cycle, it’s so frustrating when you can’t figure out when it’s coming!
@BuckeyeNut05 sorry you’re benched 😔
@luckylemon1018 congrats on the lot! That sounds so exciting!
Month/Cycle: 8/8

WAYDTGKU: temping, OPKs, tracking CM, PNVs, baby aspirin, progesterone after O
R/R: AF came promptly after stopping progesterone this month, which was much appreciated. Last month she took her sweet time and it was annoying. I’ll be calling my RE on Monday to schedule some testing for this cycle. I think I scheduled for CD3 testing so hopefully they can get me in right on Monday.
GTKY: Do you have any plans for the 4th? We always do a 5k with my family, which was obviously cancelled but we still went over to my parents house and ran with my brother. Tonight we are having a couple friends over for drinks which should be fun!
CS/Q: probably no one wants to see my single dot 😂
@inthewoods23 thanks! It looks like DH's fixes of duck tape plus spraying peppermint oil mixed with dish soap and water has helped. We haven't had any in the house today that I've seen. Good luck ninja testing! Hope your dinner was as delicious as it sounds!
@ashaislurking glad you finished your midterms and can enjoy a nice relaxing weekend!
@BuckeyeNut05 sorry you're also benched. Solidarity from the bench here too. Hope you're off it quickly.
@runningoncookies spine like you had a good 4th! FX they can get you in tomorrow for testing!
