Introducing myself (loss mentioned)

Hi everyone! I’m new to this community and wanted to introduce myself. I’m 34, soon to be 35, living in Chicago. My husband and I have been TTC for a year now, with one very early loss at the beginning of our journey. It’s been difficult, especially for me I think, because I haven’t wanted to label us as “having trouble”. Like the welcome post said, none of us wanted to be here, but I’m glad I found a community to share some of these feelings with and who know what I’m going through. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!

@bbrahmbhatt welcome! I'm just north of you in WI :) Feel free to join us in the (now) monthly thread. It's been a bit quiet here for the last few weeks with Covid and clinics being closed, but things have started picking up so maybe we'll eventually move to a weekly thread again.

Have you started any testing at this point? Or are you still trying on your own at the moment?

@inthewoods23 Thanks! I’ve had just a couple of tests; 2 transvaginal ultrasounds and a progesterone level, both of which were normal. DH is going for a seamen analysis as soon as he can get one given the pandemic. We have an appointment next week to talk about starting Clomid to see if that will help.

I’m nervous, and feel torn about wanting an “answer” vs not wanting anything “abnormal”. Plus, the pressure of scheduled BD is getting to us sometimes. Its a cycle of emotions.
