Rant/Rave: I started working from home again today... unproductive 🤪. My new coworkers and their bones stink! 🤮 But it is nice to have the little furballs around.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Homemade Nieman Marcus Cookies... a great substitute is the oatmeal chocolate cookies from Potbelly Sandwich Shops! And definitely rice crispies!!

Upcoming Appointments: Had a follow up ultrasound today since baby was refusing to let their entire spine be imaged last time. Everything checked out. I'm going back home this July so I'm skipping the 24 week appointment, so don't have another one until mid-August.
Rant/Rave: I'm glad the ultrasound today went well, and I'm extra glad that I don't have to go back again. It's been quite an ordeal trying to schedule appointments when DH can come home from work to watch DS since I can't take him in with me.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Cookie dough. No need to cook it.

Upcoming Appointments: PT video appt in 30 minutes for pelvic floor and core strengthening follow up; July 13 for AS u/s follow up. @mia80 it sounds like our babies think alike - I have to follow up for outflow tracts too and then for better pics of the hands.
Rant/Rave: I’m trying to figure out how to do a baby shower...part of me wants to fly back to Oklahoma to be with some family and friends in person, but I don’t know if I want to risk that. The other part of me thinks just doing a virtual shower might be enough considering everything. I hate how impersonal virtual would feel though!
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat?: It’s too hard to choose just one. I like them all! Maybe I can narrow it down to Half Baked Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, brownies, and funfetti cake/cupcakes!

Upcoming Appointments: 8/5 checkup
Rant/Rave: yesterday I was running my bump and found an extra little bump sticking out a bit (I can only assume is was some part of baby) and then later I felt something solid hit my bladder and then kicking near the top of my uterus...i think this little girl was doing flips and did a head dive into my bladder. I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that she's actually kind of big now and not just the size of a cherry tomato anymore!😅
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Why are we talking about deserts? Now I want them all!!!😁 rice crispies, cookie dough, ice cream...yumm! Sadly, I feel sick when I eat too much sugar so nowadays my favorite desert is watermelon. I don't know if it counts though because I eat it all day long!

Upcoming Appointments: Meeting with the midwife in a few weeks.
Rant/Rave: Had the anatomy scan last week and everything looked good. Also found an amazing doula, and I’m SO excited to have her support.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Typically it’s cheesecake (chocolate marbled when possible), but these days I’m really loving chocolate croissants. My guilty pleasure sweet - the one I tend to get when DH is traveling for work - are those thick, soft sugar cookies they sell in grocery stores and Target with the bright frosting and the sprinkles. I think Lofthouse is one of the brands that makes them... 🤤

@mia80 a local ice cream shop has mint moose tracks and it is hands down the best ice cream I have ever had!

Upcoming Appointments: follow-up AS July 2nd to check on baby's aorta. They said they didn't have a good view but that it looked like the aorta might have a narrowing. She said that depending on what the next ultrasound reveals that we might have to see a cardiologist. So 🤞 for Thursday
Rant/Rave:
Rant:I been having regular low intensity contractions for two weeks now (about 4-6/hour). I'm over it. Lots of resting and drinking water. I had this the last 3.5 weeks with DS and I'm hoping it doesn't continue the rest of this pregnancy. My midwife checked - no amniotic fluid leaking and my cervix is closed.
Rave: pretty sure I've felt baby boy moving a few times.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Apple pie is my favorite! Especially, the way my mom made it growing up with extra cinnamon and no nutmeg. It's hard for me to pass up any fruit pies, fruit cobblers, fruit crisps, or fruit custards.
I think I want every dessert now... Lemon squares, cookie dough, cupcakes and tiramisu! Mmmmm

Upcoming Appointments: Next Tues for anatomy scan
Rant/Rave: I have already started getting BH in the evening. 😩 I don’t remember ever getting them before the 3rd trimester with my previous pregnancies. They can get quite intense and frequent too, it actually scared me on Saturday night and I went to L&D to make sure it wasn’t preterm labor. I had about 20 in a 2 hour period! They think it might be from going back to work recently after mostly sitting at home for 3 months. They make me nervous and I don’t like them. They never bothered me when I was having them with full-term babies but this just seems so early. Hopefully it is just my body adjusting to being on my feet all day again and they will settle down.
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? Chocolate cheesecake! 🤤 I’m typically not much of a sweets person but right now give me ALLLLL the desserts

mostly when I’m sitting down, which is so frustrating because I’m on my feet all day and it’s like as soon as I try to sit down and rest I get them.

Rant/Rave: @lovelee3 same! I'm thinking of doing 1/2 virtual & 1/2 in-person. We have family out of state and older family members in state who may not attend an in-person event. I virtually attended a bridal shower last month and I enjoyed watching from my house and I usually hate showers!
GTKY: What is your favorite dessert/sweet treat? I love all sweets but I've been obsessed with Oreo's with milk and Capt'n Crunch with Berries right now. And I found Christmas cookies in my freezer last week....score!!
