My ultrasound went well! I heard the heartbeat and the tech let me FaceTime my H even though that’s not allowed. I still have a lot of anxiety bc *TW we found out we lost the last pregnancy about a week after this point but I didn’t actually MC until 11 weeks* so I’m a little worried that we don’t have another ultrasound for 5 more weeks. But I will take the good news for today. Oh and she checked for twins and it’s def just one, who is giving me high HCG numbers and SO. MUCH. NAUSEA. already
I am SO SO EXCITED we ordered a new mattress yesterday!!!!!! It's one of those bed-in-a-box deals, but it has great reviews (and bad ones too like most of them do) and I am just so pumped to MAYBE be able to wake up after 8 hours of sleep and not be in pain. That may be wishful thinking though since I'm old
I mentioned in symptoms but I had to go to my ob for an infection... still waiting to hear what it actually is and get prescribed agh, but I got a surprise early ultrasound. Saw a heartbeat and confirmed that it was only one baby and not three like my husband said it definitely was.

Hope you love it! We got a Purple about 3 years ago and it changed my life for the better. If I had known a mattress could make such a huge difference, I might have shelled out earlier...

had my OB appt last night. They took 11 vials of blood and a urine sample. I do not remember it being that much last time. Part of that was another HCG draw and i was hoping to hear back on that today but OB hasn’t called. I’ve been less nauseous the past 5ish days so that is worrying. Hoping she calls today or tomorrow bc I really dont want to wait till Monday.
We haven’t taken any mini quarantine vacations. But we are in a pretty hard hit area so everything is closed.
ETA I just realized the vacation question was from another thread which is why the tag didn’t work I guess.
As part of our adoption process (which is now on hold) we had to film an adoption profile video to be professionally edited. We just got the final version back and I am sobbinggggggg.

@hannahbananas11 haha it’s ok. I knew I read it in weekly randoms, did some other stuff and then came back to post and I guess I didn’t look at the dates. Doesn’t really matter lol
@tamalahoops I'm adopted myself, and you're giving me all the feels!
@szwill86, I like a firm mattress, and I think you'd like it! It's hard to explain what it's like. It's squishy, but firmer/bouncier than a lot of the Casper-type foam mattresses. You don't sink into it. My husband sinks in a bit more than I do bc he's heavier, but for me, it feels like floating on a soft, textured honeycomb that only your pressure points sink into. Sorry maybe that makes no sense lol.

@moguippy if it helps, they took 10-12 vials of my blood at my “intake” appointment to check all the things. I tend to not pay attention because needles and blood make me squeamish but the tech was telling me she had 40 vials she did for another patient earlier. 😂 So my 10-12 was at least easier.
@mdfarmchick haha I’m not squeamish about blood and she kept saying “are you ok?, this is a lot of blood” and I had to keep telling her that yes I was fine. 40 vials is so much!
@moguippy I guess 40 vials is the same amount of blood as 10, just spread out more? I said well either way if you told me you took 40 vials of my blood I would feel faint. 🤣
@birdiejo I am, but have been since before getting pregnant. I take it first thing when I wake up and make sure not to eat for at least 30 mins after taking it. I’ve always used the Now brand ones from Amazon.
@birdiejo I’ve taken a daily probiotic for years and have continued now that I’m pregnant. I’ve tried several and prefer the One a Day TrueBiotic. It usually helps keep my digestion regular but it has been no match for pregnancy hormones! I’ve also noticed over the years that I rarely get sick when I take it consistently so I’m being especially careful about remembering it now.
I’m dealing with my first ever yeast infection 😑 and pregnancy induced stomach issues so I started Garden of Life yesterday. I’m hoping it helps. I’ve attempted taking probiotics in the past but wasn’t serious enough about it.
I’m super sad. A fire started today on the mtns near us and it’s hit more than 50 acres and spreading in less than two hours. 😕 It’s gusty and windy today—winds are hitting 60 mph on the mountain. It’s just sad.
