Re: All Trimester Check-in June 22nd

How are you feeling this week?

Okay, tired but mostly good tired. Been doing a lot of cleaning, tidying, decluttering type nesting so it feels good to have a little momentum with all that.

Rants/Raves? Questions?

I finally pulled the trigger on a few maternity dresses from pink blush, and I'm pretty excited for them to come in! Also scored what I'm hoping will be a super soft, possibly semi-comfy mask from Solly baby. If I have to wear something in triage, I at least want it to be something tolerable. I also scored an organic cradle mattress at some random website bc it was such slim pickings on Amazon! So now all I need is the cradle. 😄 I'm a bit annoyed how the toddler step stools I've been looking at keep going out of stock, and I feel like I'm going to have to break down and get some of that stuff soon here, too. :/

Any upcoming appointments?

Chiro on Thursday, next MW appointment in a week.

GTKY: What activity instantly calms you?

Prayer or meditation. Does getting a massage count??? 🤣 Even a good hug does wonders.
- How far along/EDD? 29w0d / Sept 8
- How are you feeling this week? Heartburn has been insane at night! And still achy.
- Rants/Raves? Questions? This little girl is funny and she definitely makes me a little nervous for what's in store when she's finally here. I guess she didn't like a sleeping position I was in the other night and she made it known. First, it was the normal light kicks. And then she gave a wallop of a kick, where all I could was laugh and rollover. She settled down once that happened. I'm like, ok little girl...we both have to share this body!
- Any upcoming appointments? OB June 30.
- GTKY: What activity instantly calms you? Music.
@angelina1919 - so you really only have a 2-3 weeks before your little one is here! How exciting. I have a feeling I'll be in the same boat, not ready when I'm close to my date.@BusinessWife - You've been busy! Good for you. I so want a massage! I've been wanting one for the last 3 months, but I'm still practicing social distancing.
But they are doing masks and temp checks, just like at the midwife, so I feel pretty comfortable there. The massage would be at the same office. It's all still medical care, kwim? Especially given my hope not to need surgery, I'd say the benefit far outweighs the potential risk, which I feel is pretty minimal. Granted, the numbers have all been very, very low in my county. I'm not sure how it is in your area. :/
@vetgirl2011 Congratulations on team blue! And on that wonderful placenta moving out of the way. 👍 All good things!
@vetgirl2011 - From the first scan with my OB at 13w. Then at the AS - 20w the MFM saw 4 with 2 getting larger and that has been my story since. All 4 are very visible now and even though they are not in the way of the incision they are close, same for the anterior placenta. Both Drs have mentioned it is normal that they grow and should shrink after the delivery. The main reason I am having a c-section is the previous surgeries (3), so if the issue is only fibroids I hope you can avoid it and have a natural birth.
@31magnolia I’m right there with you with the social distancing still. I have been to target a few times, but during their “special hours” for high risk and it’s been so empty but it’s nice to get out and feel somewhat normal.
@mtpbadger - We went to buy buy baby last week and I think it was just me and one other customer. But I haven't been to any grocery stores or anything like that. And you're right, it does feel good to get out the house.
@vetgirl2011 - Congrats on the baby boy!
@BusinessWife - Unfortunately, the numbers have gone up where I live. Ppl are not social distancing like they were before and only about half wear masks.
Rant - My MIL posted the gender announcement on FB before I could. She did the same with my son's birth (actually - before I even MET him) so it brought up all kinds of negative emotions.
@BusinessWife you'll have to let me know how pink blush is!
@angelina1919 we have known from the start that my due date is irrelevant. It's definitely a mental shift, especially that close to the end!
@31magnolia My son was like that! Opinionated. He didn't like the non-full panel maternity pants, didn't like the echocardiagram, (in fact, we got false negative results because he kept kicking the probe away.) had opinions on music... he's 4 and still like that! Get ready, lol! This baby seems to be more chill. My son at this stage would zip around the US screen, she just kinda wiggles occasionally and lays there sucking her thumb!
@vetgirl2011 congrats on a little boy! They are SO much fun. That's great the placenta shifted!!!
@mtpbadger No way could I have waited, lol!!! I was supposed to wait an extra four days from the NIPT results to the gender reveal, and nope. I peeked.
The good news. Baby looks amazing and his growth scan yesterday showed him at 5lb7oz. Im 32+3 today. He's passed the NST with flying colors so I don't have to have 24hr monitoring, which is amazing. The other good news is that my blood pressure is amazing. It'd not high at all, which is prolly the only reason I didn't deliver yesterday. So, it's been a hard couple of days and I'm treading water, and trying to keep everything from falling apart. It sucks this is happening, and I'm beyond heartbroken.
