I figured we could try a broader randoms discussion since there isn't so much in it anymore. I still wanted to give people a place to share random questions, comments, complaints, etc. without having to start a whole new thread.
I was finally motivated today! I cleaned the carpet in the toyroom, organized the toyroom shelves, and went through and reorganized all of our children's books! Hopefully the slightly increased energy and motivation lasts so I can get my house into shape and feel less overwhelmed by my daily environment!
Oh you are so good! @wife-and-mommy I was doing some of that today, cleaning out the spare room, tidying up DDs room, and I managed to get one new tree decals up in there, as well! It was so hard because she kept climbing into my lap whilst I'm very carefully trying to position things... I said to myself I would do more during her nap, but then she didn't nap till crazy late, and now I'm just too tired + a headache. Bahh. It's so hard feeling like I can never get an entire thing done from start to finish anymore! Lol but I pick my battles I guess.
I just realized today that it's like six weeks out at this point, and I really need to look into what we're going to do about car seats. We'll be getting something bigger for D1 and moving D2 into D1's convertible and the baby into D2's bucket. And we probably aren't going to sell our small car before the baby comes, which means I need to hopefully find something small enough to still fit the bucket base in. I can fit two convertibles plus the bucket seat without the base, but I know I will want the base with an infant!
And I need to get out the baby clothes, see if I need to spot clean stains again (has anyone else noticed how drool/spit up will leave these yellow stains on white and pale clothes? It doesn't until they sit in storage for awhile, and then the stains pop out) and wash them.
Ughh those yellow stains are the bain of my existence. I noticed DDs NB size baby hat has them badly around the headband from sweat / oils. :/ So far a thorough oxy treatment has helped a bit, bit I have a feeling I'm going to have to repeat the process.... And / or look into getting something else from Amazon. @coldlife2
@businesswife Last time, what worked was pouring/spraying hydrogen peroxide on the stains and then rubbing baking soda into them. Then tossing them in the washing machine and letting them sit for a little while before washing. Takes a bit of time but worked really well. That's my mom's go to more natural stain removal method. I have to say it works really well! Gets out baby poop, too, (redoing it once it all dries out and letting it sit overnight).
I thought it was weird my daughter's baby clothes were so stained. I was like "why did I keep these with stains all over them??". Must not have been there when packed away! I'm going to try putting them in sunlight for awhile.

Yes @coldlife2 I found so many stained clothes when I got them out last time. It's frustrating that they appear after being stored! Thanks for the peroxide and baking soda tip! @BusinessWife it sounds like you are being very productive and getting things accomplished while still taking great care of your daughter and resting when necessary. It sure is a balance!

I know! I did some googling and apparently it has to do with proteins and/or fats in milk that will yellow over time.
