We are having a 4th girl. Since we do not have a son I was thinking about using her grandfathers name along with my mothers.... Mary Andrew. Thoughts on the name?
Do your first 3 girls have feminine middle names? Kids naturally compare middle names and if I were daughter #4 with Andrew and my 3 older sisters had pretty middle names, I’d feel jealous and wonder if my parents wished I’d been a son. I know male middle names are growing in popularity and family names can trump what sounds pretty, but you have to consider the context of the siblings too.

They are all named after family members. Our last was Liberty Ruth
Honestly, your daughter may someday think that they wished for a boy given such a strong masculine middle name, especially if the sisters have feminine names. I would not do it!
Re: Mary Andrew..yes or no
Having said that, I've known a Mary Charles, Mary John, and a Mary Larson. If it's special to you, it won't be 'weird' after you've given it to her.
