Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Poker chip
Upcoming appointments: 7/20 - my OB is doing 6 weeks between appointments until 3rd tri.
How are you feeling: Tired and constipated
Rants/Raves: I just found out that the Glow newborn app has an apple watch version and you can track breastfeeding, sleep and diapers using it. That's a freaking game changer from the last time I had a newborn.
Questions:
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? A doctor
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: December 29th, so 12 weeks today
FTM/STM/STM+: FTM
Team Green/Pink/Blue: Happy with either, but it's a boy!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: apricot
Upcoming appointments: NT scan tomorrow (6/17)
How are you feeling: Relieved! Utterly utterly relieved and happy. I got the NIPT results this morning and it's completely negative!!! I was so scared to open them up, but knowing this takes off so much pressure for tomorrow. This week in general was shaping up to be rough, with my NT scan on Wednesday and Thursday being the EDD for the pregnancy I lost last year (due to T21, which is why the impending NT scan/NIPT was so stressful). I know there are still things that can go wrong, but this is a huge weight off of me
Rants/Raves: Rants: Got asked (begged) at 3pm yesterday to completely rewrite a memo another office wrote because she doesn't like their conclusions, and it's due today. I knew it was coming, but still irritating. My husband's grandfather has pneumonia. He's 94, on a feeding tube (which started because of a bad bout of pneumonia 6 or 7 years ago), and his nursing home is full of COVID. Raves: NIPT results. I can't rave about it enough
Questions: None right now
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Marine biologist (dolphin trainer, initially, until I found out that marine biologist was better) or meteorologist. For a while I also wanted to be an epidemiologist or microbiologist and work on viruses ("The Hot Zone" was my favorite book when I was like 12), but nixed that because you need a bunch of immunizations to work in the labs and I hate needles. I still find weather and viruses fascinating.
