Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Tuesday 6/9

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. • Morning gang!

    Month/Cycle: 36

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: HIO with Conceive+, menstrual cup, supplements, temping, OPKs, GF and DF diet

R/R: I had a moment this morning thinking it was Friday or Thursday. Darn it. Clearly I'm already ready for the weekend! I'm sort of mad at myself for not doing a quick yoga session yesterday so I could mark 2 days in a row. On Sunday I had found a video from Yoga by Adrienne where she goes through the steps and transitions to do a headstand and sort of getting there made me realize I am getting a little stronger and that I could eventually pack a flat stomach if I keep at it!

CS/Q: Premom is telling at me to test twice okay. Ok lady. Looks like I will O a little bit later this cycle since the line wasn't darker this morning

CD: 20 officially the latest day I haven’t ovulated since tracking. 🤦🏼‍♀️

WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, pnv, coq10, alpha lipoic acid, baby aspirin.

R/R: Today is my fertility consult with my ob. At 2! I’m interested to see how it goes... my tests have been getting darker, positive again, but starting going down without a solid peak. But I had to grab Walgreens brand of cheapies, and they may just work differently. Maybe I’ll actually O this time! We had a good weekend. I was able to get out and do some clothes shopping which was desperately needed, and relax with a friend.

    CS/Q:

  • @inthewoods23 hope you can get your yoga in today! Fx for a flat stomach! I need some of that! Haha I hope the week goes quickly for you!
  • @photographerwife good luck at your appointment today!

    Month/Cycle: 6/5 al

    WAYDTGKU: prenatals, temping, opks

R/R: looks like i have a busy week ahead now.  my PT restaurant job has us coming in for a meeting tomorrow to prep for outdoor dining reopening next week.  i dont anticipate working too much but will take what i can get since my FT job is still cut.  We have 2 friends turning 50 this weekend.  somehow the one we were inviting over t celebrate has turned into a gathering of about 12 people now for saturday so i have some prep to do.  for the other on Sunday, we are going to a friend's house so i will prob make my cheesecake and a few other desserts.  just trying to figure out how im fitting in my cleaning and cooking and prep in what has been a busy time for work.  eeek!

CS/Q: finally got a peak yesterday so O should be today. DH was too tired last night and 'promised this AM instead.' (crickets chirping) on that note, hoping to at least get this evening in.  our timing was slated to be so great until O was delayed.

  • @asf0613 sometimes I find when I have the most to do/prep for, I do a much better job at managing it than if I had only a few things. Hopefully you get everything you need to do done! Cleaning in preparation for people, for me, tends to be less cleaning and more organizing so it looks less cluttered.

  • @inthewoods23 hope you get to do a headstand!! That's so cool! And, was so happy to see yesterday that cyst was benign.

@photographerwife Hi! Good luck with your appointment today!!

@asf0613 that sounds like a lot of work for this weekend!! Your dessert selection sounds delicious.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    WAYDTGKU: all the vitamins, OPKs

R/R: Rave -We finally saw some family yesterday for an outdoor dinner and it was so nice!! Overall having nicer weather and sunnier days is so great for my mood. Need to get back to using my lighbox in the shorter months. Rant - (This isn't necessarily a rant, because it's totally under my control to change my behavior - just something I'm struggling with): I weighed myself this morning and am 22lbs up from our wedding which was only 7 months ago. Eating too much, choosing the wrong foods, and drinking too much have definitely caught up with me and I need to start doing a better job of being more intentional about what I put in my body.

CS/Q: hoping I O before day 25, unlike last cycle

  • @priyadoc yay family! The first time I saw my parents since the lockdown started felt soo nice. I bought a lightbox this past fall/winter. I'm not sure if it was actually helpful, but I did enjoy using it. The biggest game changer for me in the shorter months was a wake up alarm clock! Feel free to join in the healthy habits thread if you want the accountability/reminder to better your eating/drinking habits.  :)

@inthewoods23 I love YWA I used to do her videos all the time. I should get back into that. GL with the headstand! Once you get it it will be like second nature and then you will have to find a new challenge!
@photographerwife sorry for the late O. GL with your consultation today!
@asf0613 sorry for your late O too! Seems like all that is going on is stressing us out and delaying everyone. You still have great timing even without this AM.I follow a cleaning routine where there is a certain task each day (Clean Mama on IG) which helps my task list when I have to prep for guests.
@priyadoc the nicer weather has been great for us. Helps with social distancing and everything being closed if we can have a picnic or go for a bike ride.

R/R: rant - WHY IS EVERYONE PREGNANT!?!? I am seeing pregnancy announcements left and right with both friends and influencers. I don't even think they are quarantine babies because most of them are further along than that. Rave -  I have a consultation with an OB that says she specializes in fertility next Monday so hopefully she will be more open to early testing. I don't even care if I have to pay out of pocket for it because if they do find a problem I want to address it sooner rather than later.

    CS/Q: nothing exciting

    WAYDTGKU: FET on Sunday

R/R: Today has been absolutely insane with work, I've been trying to do this since 9am!!!

I'm 99% sure I'm currently ovulating, because dang my left side hurts :D It occurred to me this morning that I've only done a trigger shot once and it never actually made me O, my eggs were harvested instead. Is this normal? :D I've also had night sweats the past 2 nights, and I don't think I've slept well.

In other news, MH and I have decided to perk up our backyard a bit, which is difficult because it's so small and we're VERY close to our neighbors (the perils of living so close to a major city is real estate is at a premium). We both feel like every time we sit on our deck we have at least one neighbor on either side out there with us. We've decided to try to make a small sitting area next to our shed, which is at least a little bit of privacy. We're ordering a new fire pit (our old one has a broken leg, which does not seem very safe to me) and we ordered a hammock swing and stand for me yesterday. We're not going anywhere this summer, so might as well make our own backyard a little nicer.

@inthewoods23 Ha can you please make this week speed up for me? Thanks! :D Also, impressive with the handstand practice! I considered trying to get into a back bend last night, tried it for like .5 seconds and immediately noped the eff out :D:D:D

@asf0613 GL with your meeting, and your celebrations sound so fun!!

@priyadoc It's been so nice seeing people again, even from 6 feet apart!! Glad you got some QT in!

@krash_ Haha I ask that question literally all the time! I feel like these things come in waves, it will get better soon. Glad you're going to start discussing it though, I'm a big advocate for starting the discussion at the 6 month mark.

  • @krash_ What I don't get is, why does that shit have to pop up in batches???? I don't know how many times I've seen announcements multiple days in a row. GTFO of my feed! lol

@mvt2003 lol yes that's normal if you've never done IUIs  :) Where did you buy your hammock swing? I'm looking to get a hanging chair or something so I can sit shaded by our deck and oak tree. I suppose I could try Wayfair since we got a good deal on the deck furniture we bought last year. I love the idea of a hanging cocoon kind of chair

  • @inthewoods23, i do the whole- frantically clean/organize thing where i shove things from out in the open into boxes and put them away into spare rooms lol.  at least hosting outside is easier.  just praying for good weather
@priyadoc i don't even weigh myself i'm too scared to see difference over past 6 months.  but you are aware of what caused it and can adjust so that's a start!
@krash_ ...downloading this app immediately! and i ask myself that question WAYYY too often ugh.  i feel like there should be a feature that if you see a particular post from someone, you can mark it as 'read' so it doesn't come up in your timeline over and over and over and over again (but you can see their other posts)
@mvt2003 your backyard plans sound amazing!  perfect timing to make yourselves a sanctuary
