WAYDTGKU: besides the sex lol... BBT, CM, OPK, seed cycling (new this month), myo-inositol (b/c PCOS.)
R/R: Rant: yesterday hubby had a semen analysis done; but he really didn’t want to do it and was trying to convince me hard to just make love instead (which I really appreciate and all but we’re working hard on this baby thing and given that one has to abstain 3-5 days before SA, yesterday was basically last day for him to do it before we have to switch focus on trying this cycle). Reason doc requested he do a SA even though we’ve been at it only 5 months (we’re both 35+), was because last year he did an at-home one (Dadi), and it showed below average everything - count, volume, concentration, and motility. We actually had forgotten about the exact results so leading up to his appointment yesterday, reviewed them and his motility was smack at the bottom of below average range at 4.8%. But all of this just made me realize how much women do to get pregnant versus how little men do. I asked on another forum how long couples try before they get the men tested and most said 8+ months (if under 35). With at home male fertility tests readily available, I don’t see why guys can’t get tested earlier on?! Just points to how uneven the fertility equation is. End rant.
CS/Q: I was reading some fertility advice on my new OBs website specifically around the topic of exercise and it pointed to a very well fertility article that quote research that vigorous exercise of 4+ hours per week can reduce fertility in normal weight women. This was the first time I’ve heard about that; previously I thought that the rule was “don’t start any new exercise routine but if your body is used to it...” Anyway, for now I’ve replaced running with brisk walks. Would love to hear thoughts on this though.
GTKY: Best meal... oh this is a tough one. Our wedding meal was amazing since we had a very small, immediate-family-only wedding so we splurged on food with a 5-course chef’s tasting menu at a top restaurant in a Fairmont hotel. Otherwise, in Summer of 2017, I was recovering from a bad breakup and got the chance to spend some time on the west coast (now live there). I was emotionally distraught (had terrible insomnia) and was doing things by the seat of my pants / without any planning. I ended up driving from San Diego to San Francisco and stopping at an AirBnB in Los Osos, booked with 3-4 hours notice. I had asked the host for suggestions of restaurants and he recommended a sushi place. I went there and honestly I don’t think I’ve had better sashimi ever. It was so THICK! That and a glass of Chardonnay and sitting outside in the dusk with a heat lamp... I remember tearing up because it was so good. I’ve been dying to go back to that restaurant to see if the sashimi is really that good. Might actually do that in a few weeks’ time!

R/R: all TTC related this weekend. Rant: when TF am i going to ovulate???! DH was super on board for HIO thie FW but i purposely held off yesterday because i want to spread us out a bit. there's no way we can sustain going longer the 3-4 days in a row. Rave: as a continuation of ean earlier daily this week, DH asked more follow Q's about timing, my test strips and things like that. it was really nice because we got to talk through how he was feeling too and he mentioned how he feels a lot of pressure. so i'm going to try not to be a crazy person if i can help it!!
CS/Q: no real sign of O yet. i posted in OPK thread.
GTKY: What is the best meal you've ever eaten? hmm i'd have to say on our honeymoon we went to an oceanside little place that specialized in seafood and pasta in Maui. they had ahi tuna bruschetta on the menu (so instead of tomato it was an ahi tuna mixture on toast). it was a standout dish for us, and we both work in the restaurant industry, enjoy fine dining often, etc. the best part of the meal is that we were seated next to another couple that were regulars there and unbeknownst to us, they paid our whole check! the owner knew they'd be back in soon so we pre-purchased a bottle of wine for them for their next visit. it was an awesome experience and meal! when we went back to the island a few years later, that was the first place we wanted to go
@asf0613 spreading out is probably a good idea! I know for us if we're a little too rough or aggressive early on it makes it hard to go at it later when we're closer to O.

WAYDTGKU: HIO probably never with Conceive Plus 😆, started trying inserting the cup after, supplements, OPKs, temping, GF and DF diet
R/R: I made 2 labor intensive meals yesterday. One was a Gordon Ramsay "America breakfast" that's homemade hash browns with onion, with eggs and brown sugar bacon on top. Potato burned to the bottom of the pan so almost none of the rest got cooked that well and my egg was overdone. Then I made my MIL's chicken pot pie recipe but changed the ingredients to make it gluten and dairy free. Biscuits weren't flaky, and the heavy whipping cream I used was shaken too much so when it came out of the carton it was already like whipped cream. The goo had a weird texture but tasted ok. I added xanthan gum to help with the GF flour but I must have used too much. The goo came out like gravy when it hasn't been warmed.
CS/Q: I'm surprisedy temp went up considering it was in the 50s overnight and we had our windows open. I was cold even snuggling up to DH and grabbed the comforter that was off the bed!
GTKY: What is the best meal you've ever eaten?
Oh man which do I pick.... It was expensive, but so worth it. Höfn, Iceland has this small lobster restaurant. We found out about it in a travel guide we got while in Reykjavik. Anyway, we had a lobster bisque soup that I've never had before and that was AMAZING. And the the lobster entrees we had was the best lobster we had ever had. It's on our list to go back to when we revisit Iceland in the future. Another great meal was a pizza with smoked trout and pine nuts. Not a combination I would normally pick but it was sooo good! We put pine nuts on our homemade pizzas all the time now.
