Though when I tried watching it I had never worked on an large office setting, so maybe I should try again?

@bearmomma1 Oh nooooooo, the office is my favorite show. I don’t know if working in an office will change your opinion or not. I was in college when I watched it for the first time. I’d say give it another try!
@willashbaby there are a lot of good arguments for renting over owning. You definitely have a lot more freedom and flexibility, so if you have a good place and landlord it makes sense to just stay. I only bought my first apartment because it was priced low enough that my mortgage + co-op fees were lower than I'd pay renting a comparable unit. After that we rented, but wound up buying because we were getting irritated with our rental house (it was nice but not kept up very well, and we weren't motivated to make improvements out of our own pockets), and found one in the same community where our monthly payments come out the same as our rent used to be. That said, if those conditions hadn't been met and/or we weren't planning to stay in the area for at least the next 5-10 years then we'd be all for renting.
@bearmomma1, along similar lines I never understood "Friends". Everyone I know loved it, but I never found it funny.
That's what keeps us where we're at @akoros a mortgage where we live on a house that "needs work" is 2k a month MORE than our rent. We've lived here for 6 years and they've never even increased our rent. We know we can get away with a few more years here before we NEED more space so we're just staying put. Thinking about spending 4k a month on a house makes me sick
@willashbaby Yeah, absolutely not worth buying. Our former landlord (or, rather, the property manager) increased rent each year. That's their right, but since the house already had problems and they had no interest in improving it we didn't think it was worth the cost. We're also hoping to avoid the $4k/mo as long as we can...we put an offer on a house in the suburbs two years ago that would have put us in that range. We are sooo thankful we lost that bid!

I love love love the Office but I can understand that it may be too cringey sometimes. Parks and Rec is my absolute favorite because it’s always so uplifting and positive but not too cheesy.
@akoros and @bearmomma1. I have never watched Friends. Maybe an episode here and there, but that is it. Also never seen Sex and the City. We loved the Office and Parks and Rec. I am 100% Leslie Knope.
@laurenspdx and @tryingktogku. I can have pineapple on a pizza, but it has to Domino's. Something about the seasoning they put on the crust really works with the sweet pineapple. I also pair it with green peppers or onions. No thank you to ham or chicken!!
I LOVE pizza! We make it from scratch at home all the time. I make a garlic dough, then a thin sauce, some globs of ricotta, shredded full fat mozzarella, balls of fresh mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, then I add fresh shredded parm and cracked sea salt to the crust. In the oven on a 500 degree pizza stone for 10 minutes it goes!
@willashbaby that sounds delicious my husband is trying to perfect cooking pizza on our smoker (which reminds me we need a new stone). I might need your garlic dough recipe.
@BmcD2016 use any dough recipe and just add a shitload of Italian seasoning & garlic to the flour. Fresh garlic is too much for me so I usually use garlic powder. If you have a TJs you can cheat and use their garlic and herb dough (that's where I got the idea). I used to just use theirs but then a friend gave me a 30lb bag of flour so I've been trying to use it up!
