    Due date? 10/22

Upcoming appointments? Have some labs to get drawn around 6/11, and then phone OB visit on 6/18

Rant/rave? Rant: So tired of over-privileged White people.  Doesn't matter whether we're talking corona or protest reactions, I am embarassed to be White.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to unfriend some of my cousins on Facebook.  I'm also frustrated that I can't be at the protests - it's just not safe because of the pregnancy.  Rave:  Work is *finally* taking my concerns over staff's poor mask compliance seriously.  They actually offered to let me go 100% telework.  However, since that would be a huge imposition on other staff, and the prison appears to be actually trying to start enforcing mask policies, I'm going to give them a few weeks for compliance to improve before I say yes - I'd rather the solution where *everyone* is safer, not just me.

Questions? STMs who previously had an anterior placenta - when did you feel more definitive kicks rather than just flutters?

GTKY: Sell us on your favorite movie.  I have a lot of favorite movies, but one of my favorites of all time is Sneakers.  Many, many big names, and it's smart.  Robert Redford, Ben Kingsley, River Pheonix (in one of his last appearances), Sidney Poitier, among others... Plus you just have to laugh in retrospect at all movies that are technology focused - everything thas so high tech at the time is now so dated!

    Due date? 10/23

Upcoming appointments? Telemedicine visit this afternoon. Then I’ll be scheduling bloodwork for TSH level and AS.

Rant/rave? Rant: My MIL is being so annoying with her continued support of Trump. She makes an excuse for everything he does/says. I don’t understand how someone can support him and act like he’s doing anything good. It’s like she feels that not supporting him is saying she’s a liberal all of the sudden. It just makes me so mad!

Questions? @kboydbowman I had an anterior placenta last pregnancy and this time too! I didn’t feel consistent movement and kicks until around 21 weeks last time. This time I’ve been feeling a few flutters, but no kicks and no consistent movement yet! Last pregnancy, DS was a pretty relaxed baby and it was always hard for me to do kick counts because he just didn’t move that much or I just couldn’t feel it.

GTKY: Sell us on your favorite movie. I’m not that into movies because I often end up falling asleep! One of my favorites is the Holiday with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Jude Law. It’s a cute, romantic movie.

    Due date? Oct 31 🎃

Upcoming appointments? June 5 - OBGYN, June 12- Anatomy Screen

Rant/rave? My husband has named my pregnancy pillow Carlos... lol... and I discovered Instacart today and got Sprouts groceries delivered. I also havent killed my garden yet!

Questions? Can I eat all the pie? And cake? And cookies? Please....

GTKY: Sell us on your favorite movie. Hmmm... I'm a huge move person, but my FAVORITE would probably be Desk Set. Its Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey circa 1957. She is brilliant and strong and fights for herself and her friends. It's a low level love story with lots of laughs and a great cast.

    Due date?  Oct 28

Upcoming appointments?  Anatomy scan on Wednesday!

Rant/rave?  Went on an overnight kayak trip over the weekend with a couple friends and I am SO SORE lol.  Went from 0 kayaking to 70km literally overnight.  It was fun and great to get out though.  So glad the weather is finally nice enough for this.

Questions?  Why is everything spicy all of a sudden?  I was eating some Lays BBQ chips the other day and thought they had a pretty good kick to them lol.  And a few other foods have caught me off guard like that lately.  Good thing I like spicy I suppose.  Anyone else experiencing this?

GTKY: Sell us on your favorite movie.  Hmmm not sure if I would say it's my favourite all-time but its definitely resonating with me recently....  office space.  All your workplace minutiae hilariously summed up.
  • @aefsparrow I am also craving sweets like crazy.  I usually don't care for them, I'm typically more of a salty snack person.  The bf LOVES  it as he's more of sweet snack guy and now there's usually something around for him to indulge in too.
  • How far along are you? 19 weeks 2 days

    Due date? 10/26

Upcoming appointments? AS and general appointment 6/11. They’ve really been trying to consolidate appointments which I appreciate.

Rant/rave? Rant: My neighbor seems to be a Debbie downer on everything. I will bring something up that shouldn’t be controversial, and she lectures or tells me her experience as fact. I love talking to her otherwise, but it’s already getting old.

Rave: I finished testing my blood sugar at home this week, and right now the doctor has given me the all clear on gestational diabetes. Now I just need to test again in August.

Questions? None that I can think of.

GTKY: Sell us on your favorite movie.
Probably Idiocracy. I saw it on a whim when it first came out because Luke Wilson’s face was on the case. Since then I have bought it twice because one copy disappeared with roommates. I went to a 10 year anniversary showing of it, and Mike Judge explained why he made it. @angela444 it actually piggybacked with Office Space. The studio wouldn’t make it because it was controversial at the time. He told them he would only agree to Office Space if they also agreed on Idiocracy. They let him make it with barely a budget and put no advertising into it. And now it’s a cult classic. I also loved his comment on it, “When I made it I didn’t realize it was going to become a documentary, and so quickly.” 😂😂😂
  • @animalandplantrescuer idiocracy has come up A LOT lately in conversation, also a great movie.
