@krisspy22 I had to disguise La Croix, crystal lite mix and frozen strawberries as an alcoholic beverage last week during a virtual happy hour. I fall on the opposite end of the spectrum as far as telling people, I would literally wait until the baby is born if I could (I did with some people during my last pregnancy) so I’m loving getting to isolate right now because no one would suspect anything. I wish I could hide out until January!
whitealbum29 I wake up at least once per night too. To blow my nose. It feels like my pregnancy rhinitis is easing up though (maybe just allergies I have never had before?).
krisspy22 Happy hour?? Like in person? I was just thinking that I'm so glad we're all virtual, as I don't have to worry about happy hours and answering why I'm not drinking. And at least in virtual HHs, you can pretend.

@BuckeyeNut05 I’m like you and prefer not to tell anyone, including family. I just dislike all the attention it draws, the extremely personal questions, ugh...
Upcoming appointments: This Friday is my first appt. I’ll have an U/S first and than meet with the midwife
Minnesota, In the suburbs outside of Minneapolis
@BuckeyeNut05 I'm with you on telling people...I am looking forward to telling more family/friends later but I know on social media I won't tell anyone till January...or possibly not even then for some platforms.
@feelingjovani Oh I didn't know we were EDD "twins"! or triplets with @lavenderclouds
@lavenderclouds That mix sounds kind of delicious to me right now! I thought I had a little bump this weekend and had to use a rubber band around the button on my jeans when we went out...but I think I was just bloated.
@BuckeyeNut05 I love that part of isolating right now, too. We only have to tell people if we want to (no "why aren't you drinking?" questions) and I'm enjoying keeping it a secret.
@lavenderclouds I love strange cravings! I've been eating bagels dipped in diced tomatoes. It makes me feel like a good mom because I'm doing it "for the baby" not because I would normally eat that. I've also been eating a lot of mozzarella sticks and Moon Pies "for the baby"
@aels12 We're doing NIPT testing at my next appointment (yay for being over 35). I'm nervous but also excited to find out the gender early

@oaktree6 hope your busy week goes well and you are able to get some rest!
@krisspy22 glad you have made the happy hours work! I was hesitant to share with my other two pregnancies but now after my MC I’m telling people left and right it just was so hard to go through alone.
@feelingjovani hope your appointment goes well!
@hippiegirl884 Sending lots of hugs emotions are hard especially when they seem out of your control. Hope you can get some time to yourself.
@aels12 have you tried a Netipot for your allergies? It’s helped mine a lot especially if I use it in the evening before bed.
@marynog it is so hard trying to balance it all. Be kind to yourself and give yourself grace! Also what is the harmony test is it similar to NIPT?
@mamasloth doing anything fun for vacation?
I am in Vermont!
@oaktree6 I've had a moderately busy week - I feel like I am maybe getting some energy back? Some of it is getting the morning sickness under control for sure.
@krisspy22 My son (3) called my parents and announced "There is a baby coming!" - We haven't announced publicly yet, but family has known since like 4 weeks.
@feelingjovani hope your appointment went well!
@hippiegirl884 These pregnancy emotions are no joke. I am always emotional during pregnancy.
@aels12 I never liked the netipot, but the "little noses" brand saline spray has some FORCE behind it, and I found that one worked well for me. It's in the infant section.
@marynog I had the Harmony done with my son - Call your insurance to make sure they cover it. Harmony's lab (and they run it through their own lab) was out of network for me, but the other NIPT was covered. I was able to get them to cover it, but it took a bunch of phone calls and was a headache.
@stillcozy Good luck at the US. It's so amazing. Are they letting you video your partner in?
@mamasloth we are planning a vacation for a few months from now - just a campground and borrowing my parents trailer, but I am so excited for something different!
@jekasi I have definitely been low key grateful for quarantine in the first tri...

My front office staff got me one of these! They blink at you if you haven't drank anything in 30 minutes.

@carleym93 I downloaded this app a few months ago called Plant Nanny that gave me reminders, it was helpful! You water a little "plant" and it grows if you drink what you're supposed to.
@the_road_to_oz ooh I'll get some prunes! Sadly I have also found that exercising a bit every day instead of relaxing on my couch is helping...bummer.
@lemomma Hugs to you! It is an overwhelming time. Definitely take care of your mental health, I work in news/journalism and absolutely try to tune out the news when I'm off the clock (it's hard the past couple months tho), and I really notice a difference in my mood/overall wellbeing when I do. Last weekend I was glued to Twitter way too much and by Sunday afternoon I was like, "enough already before you waste your entire weekend and then are required to pay attention to the news for five days straight!"
