I have two tattoos - a hibiscus flower on my hip and a peace sign on my ankle. My ears are also pierced twice, but I rarely wear earrings and most of the time forget they'e pierced.
Ahhh love this! I only have singles in my earlobes and a rook ring on one side. I love the rook!!! It makes me feel a pinch of badass. No tattoos for me, I don't think I would be able to decide on something I would continue to like forever. I never say never though and I love lots of the tattoos I've seen!
Just two in each ear lobe, though I haven't worn earrings in the second hole in years (had a couple of infections/sensitivities and fell out of the habit) so while the holes are still there I think they're really narrow so it's uncomfortable to wear earrings in them. In college I had my nose pierced for a hot second and loved it, but I took the piercing stud out too early and it sealed up. I figured that I couldn't get it redone and healed in time to go for work interviews so I just left it (had I known that it's not a big deal to have a nose ring I would totally have gone back).
No tattoos, I'm terrified of needles and could never think up something that I wanted permanently on my body. Piercings are over fast enough that I can get over the needle part, but a tattoo sounds like torture.
I love tattoos! I have 5: -A tree on my rib cage / side boob -A phrase from Ubuntu in Zulu on my side (which will probably get stretched!) it means “I am human when I acknowledge humanity in others” -A compass inspired by the first world atlas on my shoulder -A magpie feather on the back of my arm -My newest - my pup forever with me on my arm (he’s still very much alive now btw)
This is my only tattoo. It’s for my grandma and all of my kids (so I didn’t have to get a new one after I had each one) all of my kids love this song and this is something I will always remember my grandma for. This was right after I got it done a couple years ago! I have double piercings on my ears but never wear earrings and I had my belly button pierced at 13 but I haven’t worn it since I had my first baby at 18
Oh boy, ears: triple pierced on the lobes on each ear, helix on each ear, double tragus on each ear, rook on the right (two lobes on the right closed, the third on on the left closed, one of the tragus closed, I just wear one in each). Nose pierced, I wear it when I want. Tongue and nipple pierced, those are closed. All of these were done before I was 16 Benefit of living near NYC and the Village!
Tattoos, 12 and they're mostly on my back and legs. Def an ongoing process. Some were flash and meaningful, others were random AF and seriously "for fun" (I've been known to get tattooed on vacation, hello NOLA!), others were fully custom and long planned. I'm one of those people who if a tattoo turned out bad, would probably have "this is a shitty tattoo" added to it
I have one I’d love to get covered on my wrist. I was maybe 22, going through a custody battle with my druggy ex and my friend called me at like 10pm and asked if I wanted to go get tatted. It seemed like a great idea. I picked out a four leaf clover for good luck from the wall. I now know that it has alternative meaning and I hate it.
I had my ears pierced as a child, but never kept up with them and I haven’t missed wearing earrings as an adult, so no plans to redo them.
Ok, I've got 11 piercings but no tattoos. Lol I LOVE piercings!! I could never get a tattoo though. I dont really have anything I like enough to want to have forever on my body and I HATE needles and could never sit through a tattoo long enough haha. Piercings are quick and boom its over.
My piercings I have are: I have 2 earring holes in each lobe. I have the tragus on my right ear, a single helix pierced in my left ear, single anithelix pierced on my right ear, my tongue, my belly button, a dermal peircing in my right hip and a VCH on my vagina which is( a Vertical barbell through the clitoral hood)
No tattoos but I have lots of (ear) piercing plans. Currently I only have two lobe piercings on each side, left conch, and a cartilage one that closed up in college. I also had my belly button pierced but removed it when pregnant with my first dd and it is long closed.
Ears double pierced and had cartilage pierced but don’t wear that anymore. Had my belly button and eyebrow once upon a time.
3 tattoos and I dislike them all. Tramp stamp with typical butterfly and tribal symbol from when I was 17 and knew everything. A cross on my foot with my grandpas initials. And a star on my hip 🤦🏻♀️ Wish I had NONE.
I have one tattoo across my back, and I used to have a bunch of fun ear piercings but I took them all out with grabby baby hands. I want to get a tattoo for my children, but I wanted more than one child, and wanted to blend them together, so I held off.
Three holes in each ear lobe (did these in high school but I still love them, and actually would love 1 more). Had my belly button pierced twice when I was 18/19, both times it got infected so I let it close and now I have a small scar that only I notice.
And I have two tattoos. Both I got while very drunk, but the 2nd one was semi-planned. The first was after a day of day drinking in the east village when I was 26. I was clerking for a judge and waiting for my NY Bar results to come in, Hurricane Sandy was imminent. Needless to say my bff and I were just feeling reckless and like the world was ending so who cared? We decided to each get tattoos for our moms (who are good friends) on our ribs. I got my Moms maiden name in black text, she got a clock saying the time 11:11. This is the same friend I would bring with me to a deserted island.
My 2nd tattoo is my husband’s first initial “B” on the underside of my left ring finger. I wanted to do this at my bachelorette weekend in Austin but it never happened so I did it a few weeks later after drinks with a girlfriend. He thinks I’m crazy, and would never get a tattoo himself, but I know he actually loves that I did it. No one that I work with has ever commented on it, so not even sure that they notice. I still love it so much and don’t regret it.
I’d love to get another tattoo, but have to keep them mostly hidden because of my job. Not sure what I’d do or where but definitely open to it.
Oh I love this! I have two tattoos. One is a cluster of hearts that I got matching with my mom and the second is a butterfly made of two faces kissing. They are both on my chest on opposite sides. I have my ear lobes, both nostrils, and my industrial pierced. I had my tongue, lip, and both nipples done but have taken them all out. I will redo my nipples when I'm done having babies/breastfeeding.
@mindyb2019 if you dont mind me asking, how was having the VCH done?
@nmadjeski I don’t mind you asking at all. Ask away lol. Having the VCH done hurt like a f#*cking bitch lol 😂 but I must say it was super quick and the pain only lasted for a split second and then it was over. They also numb it a bit but hey it’s down there so you still feel it haha. Out of all my piercings its def my FAVOURITE! Lol. Sooo worth the pain. The barbell I have in it is very small and dainty and it has little sparkly crystal jewels in it so it’s super girly and sexy 😉 Oh man and let me tell ya, after having it done it totally adds to the sexualness.. Very sensitive and heightens the Sexual arousal and pleasure. A++ 😂 Highly recommend 👍
I have I have two holes in each ear lobe that are still open. I used to have a third hole in one ear halfway up my ear and a helix piercing but I let them close. I also used to have my nose pierced.
I have three tattoos. One turned out better than it could have as I was 19, drunk on wine coolers, and got it on someone’s kitchen table it’s three flowers linked together with a swirl pattern. At least the guy was an actual tattoo artist. I have my sisters birthdate in Roman numerals on my back, and the word love on my shoulder.
@mindyb2019 haha thank you for sharing! It's always been on my list but I've never been able to pull the trigger. You may have just convinced to finally do it! After baby of course haha
I have 5 piercings, two in each earlobe and my belly button! No tattoos yet but I really want to get a small tree tattoo on my ankle for each child I have because I always wanted to plant a tree for each baby but DH said well what happens if I move and so I said fine I’ll plant in on my body lol
I am completely boring with no tattoos and no piercings. I am terrified of needles (I got very sick as a child and was hospitalized with frequent blood draws and multiple IVs. We will have to get over that with baby on the way though). My sister had her ears pierced and had so many issues with hers. Just never did it.
My grandmother just got her first tattoo at the age of 83, so never say never though. She got I love you in Italian after my grandfather passed.
I had a belly button, nose, ear cartilage and 3 holes in each ear lobe. Now I only have two holes in each lobe but only wear one earring.

I’m boring, up until 2 weeks ago I’ve only ever had 2 piercings in each ear lobe, so 4 total. Since I’ve been home since March I never wear earrings in the second hole anymore and I realized they closed up! I tried shoving an earring through to “re-pierce” it because that worked once when I was 20. It didn’t and I ended up with a bloody earlobe. I’ve decided I’m just going to leave them closed.
No tattoos-I don’t know anyone in real life outside of my immediate family that doesn’t have any! My sister has a lot of them-nothing ever appealed to me.
Me: 30 DH: 31 Married: May 2008 DD Born: March 2018 DS Born: April 2019 Due with #3 December 2020!
I have 2 holes in each earlobe, but I mainly only wear studs in the 2nd hole because they are screw in and I can't lose them, and very rarely wear earrings in the 1st hole because I have big curly hair and you don't really see my ears. I have a tattoo of barbed wire on my right ankle i hit when i was 19 that represents "my torment" -i head wanted it for years, and i was 19, so that should be pretty self explanatory. I would get another tattoo if I ever felt strongly enough about what i wanted to get. I've thought of weaving flowers into the barbed wire to represent my kids and angels.
I have single piercing in each lobe that I was given when I was a baby. As I grew they became uneven in a way that most people probably wouldn't notice, but I definitely do, so I never wear anything in them.
Also have a tragus in one and cartilage in the other. I took the cartilage out a month or two ago because it kept catching on my hair and is occasionally sensitive from being a side sleeper. I don't plan to let it close, but we'll see.
Three tattoos -An estoile style star on my hip -A flower cluster with a banner that says "Live Well" on the right side of my lower back. This was a cover up of a hideous, awful frog tattoo I got at 18. BONUS fun fact - hubs brother owned/owns a tattoo shop and hubs became a tattoo artist for a few years when construction work was unavailable. He actually did the cover up tattoo. -A rock with the word "Unless" on my left wrist in the style of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. I had thought about this one for a while as a declaration of my commitment to the environment (my major and profession when I was working). I actually got it aftwr I accepted my first "big girl" job as a way to mark myself as something more than a corporate stooge. Visible tattoos are still "noticed" in the workplace in my fairly conservative region.
