I have my intake appointment on May 8th (over the phone). It feels a bit strange because I had the ultrasound first. At the ultrasound appointment I didn’t get asked any questions about how I’m feeling or anything so I am wondering if that is going to be part of the intake appointment? I need an opportunity to discuss my insane RLP just to make sure it’s normal. Anyone else have the ultrasound before the intake appointment?
Only one appointment scheduled in May, on the 25th. It's my monthly check-up with my GP. I'll be 17 weeks. A bit nervous as I want to have a good blood pressure and hopefully she can hear the heartbeat of the baby! At my 12 week ultrasound, the technician said my placenta was anterior and I read it can make it harder to find the heartbeat. But my GP said it will probably grow more to the side, and that"s what I read online too, but the technician said it will stay in the front.🤷♀️
Only one appointment here as well for May. It is May 13th and I will be 15w3d. From what I understand it will just be a routine appointment...pee in a cup, BP, weight, listen for the HB, and tell her any issues I am having. @krystrist2014 I have not had a ultrasound before an intake, but maybe they use the ultrasound and discuss it during the intake along with everything else?
Had my 4 week appointment with my OB today, she did a quick US due to spotting last week and everything was great! I have my NIPT on May 4 and that’s it for May!

I have two appointments this month. One is on Tuesday (5/5 🌶 💃🏼 🌮) for NIPT - I’ll be 12+6 and will have an ultrasound, blood work, and peeing in a cup I think. The second is a phone call routine check up on 5/20 with my midwife.
Excited to see Elf on Tuesday but they said my husband can’t come. He’s very bummed about it.

During my april appointment the doctor said I was measuring 6 weeks ahead. I know I'm absolutely sure of my dates so they scheduled me for an ultrasound this week. They said I'm either having twins or I have a fibroid. Will update as soon as I find out.
During my initial appointment, my dr didn’t do a normally dating. She used a hand held ultrasound that had maybe a 5-6 inch screen she said the sac looked normal for 9-10 weeks. And she couldn’t find the HR though we could see the HB via the u/s. I have my NT scan on Tuesday so hoping they date me properly and give me prints so I can actually show DH, since I didn’t get any at the initial. I’m using the same OB I had with DD but they are doing everything so differently this time.
Had my 12 week appointment yesterday. Met my midwife and heard baby's heartbeat for the first time! 💜 166 which is about what it was at my dating ultrasound at 9 weeks. Midwife says it sounds strong and that my uterus has grown nicely 🤣🤣
BP was high for me at 145/ for the top number usually it's around 118 systolic. Probably had something to do with the iced coffee in had before the appointment 🤣. She told me to check it at home.
Blood work showed my thyroid levels are really low so my thyroid medication has been increased. 😔
Had an appointment with my General Practionner today and I'm happy with how it went! -She said she's happy with the weight I've put on (12 lbs at 17 weeks), but that I should just keep an eye to try not to maintain that pace. -Blood pressure was really good at 120/78 which I was really happy about because I am known to need to be measured a few times because I get nervous and that raises my BP... -We heard baby's heart at 151 BPM! It was my first time with a doppler. The other times were at my 2 ultrasounds. I was worried we would have a hard time because I was told my placenta was anterior at my 12 week US, but my GP said it probably migrated to the side because we could really hear it well from the middle of my belly
I go tomorrow for a separate sono for my cervix. I had a cold cone biopsy (checking for cancerous/precancerous cells after multiple positive less invasive biopsies) close to 5 years ago that ended up in them taking a good chunk of my cervix. I knew I would be going through this when (if ever) I got pregnant, but I’m so nervous. Nervous that they will say my cervix is incompetent or weak, and that I’ll possibly have to be on bed rest. Nervous that I’m going to pee on the person doing the sono (I have to drink 24oz of water an hr before and hold it). Nervous because I have to go by myself into this appointment and what if I get not great news. Ugh. Just all the nerves. Everything else has been so positive, this just feels like the last little potential bump to get past.
@mama-buckets Good luck! That all sounds really stressful and I really hope you get good news! Try not to worry about peeing on the tech - you'll have to have a super full bladder for your anatomy scan too, so they're pretty used to dealing with pregnant women about to pee their pants! (The tech told me I had to drink 32 oz before my A/S! I think last time it was only 24 oz and I was definitely afraid of peeing my pants) Anyway, hoping to see good news tomorrow!

@mama-buckets I had a cold knife cone biopsy when I was 20 because of precancerous cells as well. Are they monitoring your cervix every 2 weeks between 16 weeks and 22-24ish? I don't remember the exact weeks we started and ending when I was pregnant with DS. If it makes you feel any better my cervix cooperated with DS and I carried him until 39w5d! And also on the bright side if they monitor your cervix during this time they can put in a cerclage if it's looking short and as far as I know they are pretty effective. I hope you get good news
@mimser@dumbledoredies@hedgepig appointment went well! I drank the water they said to drink, pee-pee danced my way into the waiting room and back with the tech. I apologized in advance to the tech and she said “oh! We’re not going to need to look at your bladder, you can go to the bathroom!” 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I never heard more beautiful words. Got to see the nugget which was so amazing and sorta unexpected! Scans and everything seemed to be okay. They didn’t give me any results today since I had to go to a separate imaging center for this, but the tech did say she thought it was a good sign that the dr was happy with images and didn’t feel the need to come talk to me. I go to my next appointment with my regular OB in two weeks so hopefully they’ll tell me something there (if not sooner). 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Just had my 16w appt. Went well! No u/s but got to hear the heartbeat, it was 155. OB said she could hear him moving all around and said I should start feeling movement soon! They also had me meet with the "patient rep" aka the lady that tells me how much I have to pay them, lol, so that was fun... but she did give me a bag of goodies so that was nice! Anatomy scan scheduled for June 24th and they said I can bring my husband so I am thrilled!
@mama-buckets if they didnt want to talk to you at the appointment then I would assume your cervix is looking fine! Yay! I had mine checked last week because of the spotting I was having. It was 3.5cm. The shortest they would allow your cervix to get is 2.5 before placing a cerclage!
Had my OB appointment today. We saw baby, who was resting with his arm over his head (same way I do). We saw his little tiny feet and toes and his man-parts. Doctor says everything looks great. Heart rate was 152bmp. Only minor concern is my weight gain. I haven't gained much, but my doctor said she still isn't really concerned at this point.
@laurenmicheley Ah ok! I wish my GP could do US. At least hearing the heartbeat on the doppler at my appointments is soothing enough for now until I feel baby move 🤗
@mimser Something I've noticed in NYC is that most OBs have all their exam rooms fitted with u/s equipment. I pretty much always have an u/s at my annual GYN appt in order to check the uterus (look for cysts, etc.).
