Week of pregnancy: 14, first trimester is over!

Upcoming Appointments: not for a couple weeks

Rant/Rave: rant is my allergies and headaches. I’ve never had terrible allergies but apparently pregnancy in spring is a whole new ballgame.

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how? If not, who would you most like to meet and why? As a kid I stood in a huge line to meet the Olsen twins. In college I worked in a mall where celebrity sightings are common. I met Kevin James when he came into my store.

@surlyjaneausten I can completely relate on the allergies/headaches. Usually DH is the one who gets terrible allergies while I am fine, but this past week I swear the tables have turned. The headaches wipe me out!

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow!

Rant/Rave: Rant: I had to go to a drive up area for bloodwork (which I didnt mind). When my lab results were posted I saw that everything was normal with the blood work but my 24hr urinalysis didnt look the greatest. Showed extremely high amounts of protein in my urine. I'm irritated dr didnt call to discuss results, but I plan on bringing it up tomorrow. Also going to ask if hubby can come along to anatomy scan appt! Wont be til late June/early July so I'm hoping by that point we can have a 2nd person at the appointments with us 🤞 my rave is that I've been able to stick to my walks with DS. We live on a dead end road so it's not busy, but it's about 1.5 miles round trip. Hoping to keep this up throughout the pregnancy!

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how? If not, who would you most like to meet and why? Nope. I think it would be neat to meet Tom Hanks or Jim Carey, mainly because I've grown up watching so many of their movies.

@lalarose22 @kerriec93 glad to know I’m not the only one with bad allergies. Do you take an antihistamine or anything? I haven’t yet but am thinking of asking my doctor.

@surlyjaneausten I haven’t taken anything because mine have been tolerable so far.. just LOTS of sneezing and an occasional runny nose. I’ll ask my midwife about what I can take if they get any worse!

Upcoming Appointments: Not again until June 23rd (our 3 year wedding anniversary!)

Rant/Rave: Just stressed! Been feeling pressure to start going back into the office (been working from home since late March). My husband is not comfortable with me going back, with my asthma and the pregnancy. I just feel so stuck in the middle and the confrontation is stressing me out!

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how? If not, who would you most like to meet and why? I met the Chainsmokers earlier this year. I work for a wine company and we did a private tasting for them. I don't really want to meet any celebrities. I'd want to play it cool, but it's just awkward!

Rant/Rave: I had pulled pork and ribs this weekend and it was AMAZING!

GTKY: Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who and how? If not, who would you most like to meet and why? Does a football player count? I've met Brett Keisel twice (he used to play for the Steelers and he's my favorite!). I think I'd like to meet someone like Julie Andrews or Emma Thompson.

@surlyjaneausten @lalarose22 @kerriec93 I have awful seasonal allergies even when not pregnant but this year is extra terrible! I take zyrtec daily and use flonase as needed if I'm having an extra bad day. My doctor knows about both and said they were fine. Hope you all feel better soon!

@surlyjaneausten I havent taken anything for it. I'm trying to only use tylenol when absolutely necessary. I get so paranoid when pregnant. I've just been laying in bed with a wet rag over my head and whining to hubby 😅😅 he has only made the comment "6 more months..." a few times 😂

Just got home from my appointment! Babys heartbeat was 150 😊 asked why he wouldn't schedule a c section for 40 weeks and he said because of the risk of going into labor.....guess I will have to keep reminding him that I am REALLLLLLY wanting a VBAC. Also, I've been keeping track of my blood pressure (3x a day 😑) and while I dont think its terribly high, it's not as normal? as I'd like. BUT the nurse that checked my blood pressure today said it was 124/80! So I think my cuff might just be a dud. Going to take it in at my next appointment for them to look at. Asked if hubby could come to anatomy scan appointment and doctor said it shouldn't be a problem, so that was a relief! Oh and my doctors reaction to the high level of protein in my urine? "Its not too high that I would be concerned. That just tells me you probably have some kidney damage".... oh, that's all??? 🥴

Sorry for the ramblings it was just an eventful day!

Upcoming Appointments: I have on tomorrow ( an elective ultrasound to make darn sure there’s only one hopefully) or get prepared if it’s twins

Rant/Rave: I ran out of MS medicine on Wednesday filled the prescription on last Monday and needless to say I didn’t get it in my hands until yesterday so I had a week full of vomit . It sucked hubby always wants to “make it better “ which is super annoying, like dude there is nothing we can do about it . It’s part of pregnancy and I get it bad . That’s my only rant lol

We are going to do a car cruise on Friday for my FIL’s “service” Friday . I will be glad when that part is over so we can try to move on in the healing process .

i met a country band once that my friend was al crazy excited (I love county music but honestly I suck at celebrity stuff and band names etc . I wouldn’t want to meet anyone at this point I’m boring lol

Rant/Rave: I heard baby’s heartbeat for the first time last week!! It was amazing, heartbeat is strong at 155 BPM. My dr said the baby was moving a lot!

Rant/Rave: MS hit an all time high yesterday. I puked over 5 times. Literally everything I ate came back up within 40 mins. I puke my entire pregnancy with DD, so I'm not anticipating that it'll get any better the further along we go. Called my OB and they sent over a script for zofran. Praying it helps and I can eat and stop feeling like death 24/7! On the plus side the exhaustion seems to be getting a little better.
And finally the best news of all: NIPT results came in yesterday! Babies are normal and we're having GIRLS! #girlmom

Allergy update: my doctor said I could try Claritin or Zyrtec or use my Flonase mist. I used Flonase the last two days and it has helped SO much. Still congested, but not “my life is miserable due to allergies” congested. Game changer!

@surlyjaneausten we don't know yet, won't know until after they're born. My OB said roughly 30% of identical twins are di/di (separate membrane/sac). So since they're girl/girl we won't know until they do testing after they're born.
