This is a place for FTMs to ask questions about, S+TMs to share their prior experience with, and everyone to share what they're eyeing in the world of maternity, baby and postpartum products. Each week we'll spotlight a new category of product to help streamline and make it easier to refer back. This week we are discussing miscalenous nursery furniture!

Re: Product spotlight: Misc. Nursery Furniture
I didn't buy anything new since we had several of those little 3-cube tall multipurpose cubby shelves, I was able to just lay a couple flat to make a nice cubby corner. ;) But they have nicer ones finished on all sides, two cubbies high, that look really nice, I probably would have gotten if I didn't already have something workable on hand.

Not sure if this is the right place, but wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks for nursery storage/organization. I'm trying hard to really just keep to the essentials, but still feel a little overwhelmed by all the stuff that comes with a baby!

Obviously there's a tonne of different styles available, but they all do the same thing.</div>
People also like to have dividers in the drawers, because baby things are so tiny! There are several different styles, available at places like Ikea, container store, Amazon etc. I only used a makeshift divider in one to keep the pants separate, and the rest I have organized in little stacks. I did a combination of rolling up little pants so you can see them all, and staggering folded stacks of onesies and jammies so I can just look at it and see what's in the pile. I really need to redo the top drawer because it's become a disaster, (and probably should have been more compartmentalized from the start), but I find every so often when they are sizing up, you are kind of re-doing and shifting everything around over and over anyway, so it's not like you can get too attached to a particular configuration. 🤷

Agree with @emiliadkay that you will need lots of baskets and bins. We use the clear bins for long-term storage and easy access stuff goes in cute baskets.
