I am grateful for my close friends who are already moms who have been giving me so much advice and support! From validating my wide ranging emotions, giving me tips on how to fight nausea or sending me lists of what baby/maternity products are must haves vs not worth the $$.
Also grateful to my MIL who has been stocking our fridge with meals since I’ve been too nauseous to cook for the past month.
My SIL and BIL just had a baby girl this morning! They have been trying for 5+ years and have watched the rest of us have 9 other grandchildren and have been an amazing aunt and uncle all the way. I am just so fricking excited that it’s finally their turn!!!! Totally crying just typing this!
I'm thankful I'm able to work from home while I feel crappy and don't have to try to hide things from my coworkers. Looking for the positive. Also super thankful my midwife clinic called and they are able to take me . I love them and so happy I'm able to back with them again even though I have an amazing doctor.
I'm so thankful 1) for a great appointment with my OB today - she is so knowledgeable, supportive, and caring, and I feel so lucky to have her a resource, 2) for health insurance, still having a job, and the ability to take a 1/2 day of PTO for all my appointments today, 3) a wiggly little baby on ultrasound - despite feeling ALL the symptoms, it didn't quite feel real until now, 4) DH, for picking up my slack in parenting, cleaning, and general adulting, and 5) for Spring having finally(!) arrived here in Maine - it's absolutely gorgeous out today.
I'm really grateful for my appointment with her today. She calmed a lot of my fears about labor and even gave me the name of a doula she recommends. She took a lot of time with me and MH (via phone) and helped me feel confident moving forward. The best.
Thankful that I was able to schedule an ultrasound for tomorrow that my husband can attend! My doctors aren't allowing anyone at my appointments but there is a private facility right around the corner from us that lets you bring a guest. He's excited to finally see the baby.
