While I have an extensive tried and true skin care routine, I really fail at hair! I am currently just throwing money at the problem and bought a bunch of Living Proof items (they might still be on sale 20% off plus free full size dry shampoo with a $60 purchase). I have really fine, thinning, flat, greasy hair. I usually just use what ever shampoo/conditioner speaks to me at target, right now it's Herbal Essences. I do love a couple dry shampoos, Batiste and Dry Bar. I also use the Revlon brush blow dryer thing from Amazon that everyone loves and I like that for styling my mostly dry hair but it doesn't replace a hair dryer.

Oof, well being in the hair business you would think I would use all of these lavish products, but I'm so impatient I don't like to spend a lot of time on my hair.  I currently use store bought shampoo and conditioner because for about 6 months last year I did the Curly Girl Method.  I decided to quit that earlier this year because it just got annoying and tedious.  So I'm just using up what I have.  My favorite dry shampoo is Sexy Hair h2No- there's no white residue.  It's amazing.  But yeah, not super exciting.  I quit coloring my hair a couple years ago to go natural (or grombré as they say) so I have some lovely silver streaks going on and most of the color has grown out.  Also the prenatals are making my hair feel really healthy.

Oh man, I don't do much for hair care either. I use a Pantene 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and just brush it out after my shower and let it air dry. Literally nothing else. I don't think I even own a hair dryer. I occasionally straighten my hair for styling but my hair is pretty low maintenance.

@krash_ ok I'm glad I'm not the only one like wtf does my hair need?? Batiste has also been my go-to dry shampoo. Works great! Now if only I would stop touching my bangs all the time I wouldn't need the dry shampoo!

@shlecks I'm quasi-doing CGM and have been for at least a year. By quasi I mean using approved products. I tried doing the process of putting products in right out of the shower but it's SUCH a hassle. I did start diffusing my hair instead of letting it air dry during quaratine which alone has made my curl pattern more uniform. I must be using the wrong products though because my hair continues to look stringy. I'm also probably not "refreshing" my hair properly.

@gingermama29 I like to think I have low maintenance hair but my bathroom cabinet would say otherwise with 4+ styling products in there 😬

For some time I've been using Not Your Mother's Naturals for shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner but I'm not sure they're doing my hair any good. Of course I feel I need to go through all the bottles before I try something else. For years I was the type to scrunch some product in after my shower and let it air dry.

If only I could make my hair look and feel as good as it does leaving the salon.

I’m naturally a really dark brown but went blonde for a while to have purple hair and then kept the blonde for a while after that. And it damaged my hair so bad I went back to brown. To get it back to healthy I used Joico shampoo and conditioner every time I washed and a k pak deep conditioner once or twice a week. Now I just use whatever store bought shampoo/conditioner is on sale. One thing I won’t give up is my Kenra’s blow dry spray. It smells so good and speeds up my drying time. I’ve also been using Kenra’s invisible top coat and loving that.

I have naturally straight/fine hair that doesn't need much attention in order to look presentable, but of course I make up for that by choosing a color that needs maintenance every 4-5 weeks, haha. So right now my roots look absolutely crazy, and I don't see myself going to the salon any time soon so I guess they'll continue to look crazy indefinitely... anyone have recommendations for root touch-up products (not a dye, the kind that you spray/brush on and washes out)?

As for what I use, I'm a huge fan of Living Proof dry shampoo. I use Redken shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment, because that's what my stylist told me to use and it seems to work fine. I have a Beachwaver curling iron that I really like for when I want to do something different, but most of the time I just shower, air-dry, and go!

@linzrunz i used to use kpak!  but i had to be so careful not to get on my roots because it was so heavy

i just switched back to my natural brunette two months ago after 5 years bleaching to near platinum blonde.  my hair is in shambles.  i use olaplex 3,4,5,6 (3 for deep conditioner, 4&5 shampoo and conditioner, 6 for leave in).  it works better than anything else!

I have psoriasis ALL OVER my scalp. I use a tea tree shampoo and conditioner about once a week, and I usually just do a conditioner wash with a deep moisturizing mask aside from that (unless my hair gets really dirty or I sweat a lot, because that's just gross). I've found that washing my hair more than that flares my psoriasis a TON and it's VERY uncomfortable.

Sorry I have not introduced my self yet... but this topic got my attention. My all time favorite product for after the shower is Revlon 10 in 1. The coconut one is the best.  You can get it at shoppers but try to support your local stylist if they have it.
