Upcoming appointments: May 26th! Can’t come fast enough I wanna make sure the little Brussels sprout is ok via ultrasound!

How are you feeling?: really good today! i love having the home Doppler. It can be a little frustrating when it’s hard to find the heart beat but once you do it’s so reassuring! I’m fighting a nap at the moment because I know I have to go to bed early to wake up at 5am and it’s just too late in the day to nap and then go to bed at like 9!

Rants/Raves: I’ve been eating healthier and exercising a little more over the last few days as my nausea has seemed to pretty much be gone now but I’m still so so so tired

Questions: anyone else planning on doing a social media announcement after 12 weeks? What does that even mean anyway do people do it right at 12 weeks or like 13 weeks lol

GTKY: What is your favorite placed you’ve visited?
have not been to many places but I did a nursing mission trip in Nicaragua and it was beautiful!

@tryingtogku I'll post a pic on FB at around 15 wks because DS will be 15 months right around then (+/- 4 days). So I'll have a cute "15 months" with an arrow pointing at him and a "15 weeks" with an arrow pointing at my belly. I had the identical opportunity with DD at 15 months, incidentally

, so I'll probably say something about de ja vue in the text of the post. I think most people wait 'til 12 weeks + becuase the chance of loss drops to <1% at that point. So, you could do a cute father's day post, esp if you've gotten a good 12 week nipt scan/lab. Other good ideas I've seen with Dec due dates are Xmas in July, where you could also annouce the sex, since anyone due on or before 12/13 will be 20ish weeks by 7/25, though may not have had the scan yet. Also, a little tongue in cheek, acknowledging the end of your independence on independence day.

How are you feeling?: bleh. "Morning" sickness hits about 5:30 pm everyday.

Rants/Raves: rant -3 yo DD keeps climbing on me and putting her elbows and knees into my lower abdomen. It hurts both physically and psychologically since I'm still spotting. Rave - got all my seeds/plants in the ground. Well, round 1 at least. After harvesting some, I'll plant fall crops - parsnips, etc.

Questions: anyone use a pregnancy pillow as a back rest when laying on your side? Ive never had a pregnancy specific pillow, and I'm seriously considering it, though I feel silly since this is my 3rd, possibly last, pregnancy.

GTKY: What is your favorite placed you’ve visited? If I can only pick one, it's the Sarasota Surf and Racquet Club on Siesta Key, Florida. But I also typed Krakow, Poland and Lake Blalaton, Hungary, lol. Top 5 rounded out by Barbados' west coast, and the Grand Canyon.

@sejica ou I love the Father’s Day idea! And I bought a Leachco Snoogle body pillow and I’ve never slept so good in my life! I was a stomach sleeper and I started to find it uncomfortable on the boobs and couldn’t get comfy on my side and it’s been a real game changer! However it does take up half the bed and my husband calls it the “anti cuddle pillow” aha sleep is more important tho!

How are you feeling?: I have been feeling on and off ok. Today was a mess and probably because I took DS outside all day yesterday and so I just felt drained today.

GTKY: What is your favorite placed you’ve visited? We went on a cruise for our honeymoon and I think that was the best vacation I ever had! Even though I was convinced a rogue wave was going to get the boat lol

Upcoming appointments: Nothing until June 18, though I should get my NIPT results this week. This will be the longest I’ve gone from the start. I caved, though, and got a home Doppler to tide me over (even though my doctor offered to take me in anytime for a reassurance u/s).

How are you feeling?: I haven’t thrown up for almost a week! Feeling like I could be on the other side of the morning sickness finally. Still so so tired though.

Rants/Raves: My SO has been crushing it. I’m not surprised because he’s such a kind and thoughtful guy anyway, but he’s just gone above and beyond the last month with me feeling sick. Doing housework, getting me what I need. Maybe it’s because he did this before with his two kids from his first marriage, but he is a totally pro.

Questions: Would it be crazy for me to feel fluttering at this stage? I was just lying down for a nap after a little workout and I swear I felt something super low in my belly. It felt like a heart palpitation but in my uterus. And I only felt it because I was lying so still and focusing on it, it wouldn’t have been enough for me to notice if I was moving. Everything says it’s way too early for that but it was a totally new feeling.

GTKY: What is your favorite placed you’ve visited? Either Tasmania, Australia or Iceland. Both have stunning landscapes and the nicest people you’ll ever meet!

@sejica I got a pregnancy pillow on my pregnancy 3 years ago, it was a life saver for trying to get comfortable after my belly got big. It is a huge bed hog though.

@laurenspdx I think it's still a little early to feel fluttering, at first to me it feels like someone very softly brushing you with their fingertips. But you could be very attuned to your body, and be feeling larger movements, everyone is different.

@tryingktogku I think we announced last time around 14 weeks? After all the tests came back. This time we'll do the same if Dh wants to, but I'm thinking if we are still on quarantine, and i'm not leaving the house I might want to wait longer.

STM+ : If everything is good, this will be my 7th baby ( #2 for DH) due date 12/14

How am I feeling: I can't sleep through the night anymore

I wake up about 3 am every night and can't get back to sleep until 5ish. Which isn't great when the toddler gets up between 5:30-6:30, luckily he's currently a daddy's boy and most days calls for daddy and I can sleep a little more.

Rants/raves: everyone is finally getting a grasp on the whole distance learning thing, 2 of my kids were struggling hard with it.

Gtky: Greece. So much history, so much great food, beautiful beaches and sunsets.

How are you feeling?: Had a better week nausea wise! Still tired and feeling off, but not as sick!

Rants/Raves: We were finally able to go down and open our camper yesterday! Planning on going down Thursday night for an extra long weekend of relaxation and fresh ocean air! We're really hoping stores open up for at least curbside pickup this week so we can go buy some kayaks!

Questions: DH really wants to get a heartbeat doppler since he isn't allowed at any of my appointments and the won't let me video or facetime him. I just sent a message to my doctor to ask, but does anyone here know if they are safe to use with a pacemaker?

GTKY: What is your favorite placed you’ve visited? If I had to pick one place Venice, Italy would be it! Mykonos is a close second though!

@tryingktogku - We're planning on telling the rest of our family and friends after our 12 week appointment and then announcing on social media shortly afterwards!

@sejica - I've always wondered how you're supposed to sleep with those giant pillows and how it makes you more comfortable! lol

@jbal918 - Where did you go on your cruise? We've done a Mediterranean cruise and a cruise to Bermuda! We really loved both!

@laurenspdx - I'm hoping we're all almost to the other side of all this first trimester sickness!

@babymakes9 - Agree with you on Greece! It's so beautiful! I gained 10lbs on my honeymoon from all the food I ate! haha

@feather_heather a home Doppler uses ultrasonic waves just like an unltrasound so you should be okay but always good to check with your doc first! And my NT scan is on the 26th and I’m 12 weeks a few days after and I’ll have me results then so maybe I’ll announce then! It’ll be right around Father’s Day! Glad the Nausea is starting to subside for ya!

@sejica. Lurking from another week, but my friend sent me an Awesling full body pillow and I am loving it. It is actually four seperate pillows that zip together (one on the top, one on either side, and a little belly one for later on). It also has a band that holds it together, so you can make the sides closer or further apart. I love that is customizable. She got it off Amazon.

@tryingktogku. My husband had slept with a body pillow forever for his knees. We call it the "barrier to my love" at our house. But now my pillow takes the cake on that!

@feather_heather Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Agree that you should be fine with the Doppler since it’s the same technology as U/S but definitely smart to wait for a doctor’s ok.

+1 rec for a body pillow. I looooove mine but it does definitely feel like another person in the bed with us 😂

@sejica I have a U-shaped pregnancy pillow and it was lovely my last time around! I thought totally worth it, although I’ll echo what others have said about it being a bed hog (and a mood killer)!
