I have had two children and in both pregnancies I never dilate. Not even a whole centimeter. What can I do?
???
So I am assuming you had two previous c-sections???
You physically can not create dilation. moving around may help speed by increasing blood flow. Try being as active as you can, go for extra walks safely clean the house, do anything to move around........ This is because the weight of the baby applies pressure to the cervix which causes dilation.
I'd talk to your medical providers. That's pretty unusual, and they'd be the best ones to advise you. Sometimes it can be linked to prior medical issues. A LEEP procedure (removing abnormal cells from the cervix) can cause issues with dilation in later pregnancies due to scarring, for example.
