How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? I felt pretty bad last night (nausea) but feel a bit better this morning. I always feel worst at night. I'm mostly in denial about being pregnant and will be until I get a good NIPT result. I'm also a bit anxious about going back to work. My company is starting to plan for that, and my OB says I'm high risk due to being immunocompromised due to pregnancy. So, I need to figure out how to talk that line.

Any upcoming appointments? First ultrasound is the day after Memorial Day. They'll do all the bloodwork then, too.

Favorite vacation spot: Costa Rica! We just took our kids last year. It was the second time I'd been, and it was a blast.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Ok? Kind of freaking out because I noticed some spotting yesterday evening. Nothing else, though (i.e. no cramping, though I now notice every tiny twinge since I'm paranoid), and it hasn't gotten worse overnight. Waiting for a doctor to call me back. While I should have reason to believe that everything's fine, I'm incredibly pessimistic right now, preparing myself for the worst.

Any upcoming appointments? May 22nd, unless they want to see me earlier now

GTKY: Since we’re all cooped up right now, let’s travel in our minds! What’s your favorite vacation spot? So many, but my favorite trip so far has been to Chile. I'd dreamed of going to Patagonia since I was a kid, so was so excited to actually get to see it. We did a few days in Punta Arenas (southernmost city on the Strait of Magellan) and Torres del Paine before flying up to the lake district and then finishing up in Santiago. Lots of hiking, penguins, guanacos (like llamas), and incredible scenery. I'd love to go back, or maybe check out the Argentinean side.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Stuffy nose, exhaustion, bloat. I feel like a mouth-breathing couch potato.

Any upcoming appointments? Next OB appointment 5/20.
GTKY: St. George Island, FL. White sand beaches, sea turtle nests, dolphins, Bald eagles, sea otters, etc. It’s an incredible place!

@notvincent I LOVE Costa Rica! We went to Manuel Antonio and traveled the surrounding area for our honeymoon. Where did you guys go?

@akoros I have always wanted to visit Chile! Someday I’ll make it. Sounds like an amazing trip.

@cassafrass15 Sooo much fun. Punta Arenas (and the area around it) feels very "ends of the Earth" (the "Fin del Mundo" signs everywhere also help) and at some points otherworldly, like in Pali Aike. While it was a good amount of hopping around, I liked that we saw some very contrasting areas, from the remote southern Patagonia to the cute towns and volcanoes in the Lake District, and finally the city in Santiago (with a day trip to Valparaiso). Highly recommend it, a couple of friends have done similar trips since and also loved it.

We tried for this baby for 840 days. In that time we had two losses- one was a chemical, one at 5.5 weeks, both very early.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?  I have my ultrasound with my RE on Monday. I’m so scared there won’t be a viable baby. We tried so long, with so much heartbreak to get here. I honestly think this is it- if this baby turns into a loss, we are one and done. We were starting to discuss giving up TTC anyway- we were going to give it a couple of cycles with the RE then move on. We’d decided not to try IVF.

Any upcoming appointments?  Ultrasound on Monday, then another on June 1.

disney world!!!! We were actually there in February before the world ended.

  • @cassafrass15 my grandpa used to live right by St. George’s! I remember going there as a kid. He sailed one of the big historical ships that does tours.
@akoros it’s SO hard to keep an optimistic mindset.
    @notvincent I always feel like I hit a wall about three/ four pm. 🤢

  • @cassafrass15 We went to lots of places! A couple of days in San Jose, Arenal, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio.

@akoros Chile sounds great! My husband has been a big world traveler, and Chile and Argentina are two places we've talked a lot about going. He's been to both, but I haven't been to either.
  • @the_road_to_oz Those tour ships are so cool. My dad grew up there and my grandpa worked on a shrimp boat in gulf.

@akoros I’m completely sold. Sounds incredible!!!

MMC at 11weeks 4 days. Followed by D&C because it didn’t all pass and was dragging on and causing a lot of pain.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?
Physically: exhausted. Yesterday I felt really sick. The heartburn also hit yesterday. So yesterday was pretty miserable.
Emotionally: I’m starting to get really excited for my ultrasound but then I immediately follow that up with preparing myself for the worst.

    Any upcoming appointments?
First appointment next Thursday. It feels so far away!

I have loved Hawaii. I would go back again in a heartbeat!
  • @antera23 I understand the mixed feelings of excitement and worry before an ultrasound. Good luck next week! I have also loved Hawaii. The people, the food, those waves! Take me back. 🏝
