2nd Trimester

Slipping and falling

Hi everyone. This is my first post and first pregnancy and I hate that it has to be on this topic, but I'm freaking out.
I'm a nanny and caring for a 5 year old on a rainy day. We were playing star wars with lightsabers and I pushed off to walk/run on the corner of a rug on a hardwood floor and slipped and fell on my side. I'm not having any bleeding or discharge more than usual but feel dull achy cramps. I've already scheduled to have a heart tone check at 230 today but just wanted to know if anyone has been through a similar experience and baby turned out ok? Should I go in sooner? I'm 16w3d along. Thank you!

That is what amniotic fluid is for: to protect the baby.  99.99% chance your baby is absolutely fine

Not only is there amniotic fluid, but baby is tucked away and surrounded by sturdy membranes of your body, your uterus and your abdominal cavity (which is made up of muscle and bones).

It would take a severe accident for any of these protective barriers to rupture/break.
