I just found a heartbeat with my fetal Doppler! It took about 10 minutes of looking, and I was so surprised when I found it that I cried with happiness. This pregnancy is finally starting to feel more real.

@luckypenny11@tryingktogku we’re also telling tomorrow! It’ll also be the first time we’ve seen my parents in person since St. Patrick’s Day so it’s going to be very emotional anyway. I’m more nervous than excited, this is my third and every time I tell them I feel like a 16 year old instead of a 30 year old who’s been married for 12 years.

@mrspants0809 my first ultrasound isn’t until June 1st so I considered waiting until Father’s Day but I feel like I’ll definitely be showing by then and couldn’t hold off that long!

I'm nervous for tomorrow. We are going to visit my parents, but aren't ready to tell them yet. They will be suspicious and probably ask questions because I won't be drinking at all.

Excited to see my mom tomorrow. We haven’t seen them in 2 months. Not even for a drive by or anything. We’re going to hang in the backyard for a bit just to say hi and let our DD run around. They already know I’m pregnant so no surprises there

@luckypenny11 How far along are you? I was legit coming on here to ask if anyone has tried one because my friend gave me one but I didn’t find anything. I’m 9+2 and also plus size.
My NIPT results are listed in my patient portal but it says they won’t post until 5/13. Trying to figure out how to stay super occupied until I can talk to my doctor on Monday.

@jbal918 I’m 8+2 today and on the petite side. Sometimes the baby’s position and/or developing placenta can also make things difficult, so give it a little more time 😊

Ugh.. I’m dying today from my seasonal allergies. I was fine until I woke up today and now boom!! Bad. I have been sneezing sooo much and my eyes sting and burn. My nose is sooo raw from blowing it and my lips are dry, headaches, and tired and worn out. I’ll be better once my allergies go away at the end of July. I don’t have anything safe I can take either 😩
We’re also telling our parents tomorrow! And like @JBcakes08, I also still feel like I’m a teen telling her every time! Maybe because I was a teen my first pregnancy, but this is 16 years later and I still feel weird letting the cat out of the bag. We’re not telling in person, but we did send boxes to them to open tomorrow.
We put money down on a bigger house today. Construction might be done before baby is born 😩
@mindyb2019, your doctor doesn’t have a list of recommended OTC allergy meds you can take? If it weren’t for Benadryl, I would not have survived my last pregnancy.
@BmcD2016 no not that I know of or that he has ever told me or given me. I’ll have to call him and ask. I’m going to have to take something as it’s bad today. How exciting your telling your parents tomorrow. GL. Sounds fun.
@dreamscapes_ - That might have worked if we were going out to dinner, unfortunately we will be over at their house for a good part of the day. Luckily I found out my mom is making smoked ribs and brisket for dinner, so I will be able to find a moment when she goes outside to "make a drink", let's just hope my dad isn't paying attention like normal and no one will be the wiser.
@mindyb2019 you can take Zyrtec! I've been on it daily since the beginning of March, before I even got pregnant! I'll need it through June and then again in September through October. As for "the big news". my appointment is tomorrow where I'll hopefully see a properly developing bean. I'm keeping my mouth shut until then. I am going to see my Mom outside today. I've seen her a few times and it's so hard not to say anything. If it looks good tomorrow I'm going to bring DS to her house to give her one more present
Our families already know we’re expecting, but we wanted to do something special for Mom’s Day because this is the first grandchild on both sides of our families. So we bought my MIL & stepmom (my mom passed away in 2018 - missing her desperately today, but know she’s with us in spirit) matching necklaces with a turquoise stone heart pendant. Turquoise is one of the December birthstones, so we’re giving the necklaces to them from their future grandbaby. (And if s/he happens to be born early, then it can just be a cute momento from the time we were all waiting for him/her to arrive)
