Thankful Thursday 5/7

What's everyone thankful for today?

Re: Thankful Thursday 5/7

  • I am having a tough time feeling thankful right now because this nausea is really dragging me down, but I feel very blessed and grateful that my husband and I are both still employed right now, and that we are healthy, and have something positive to look forward to in December.

  • Super thankful to still be employed and to be able to be nauseated at home. Honestly, this quarantine is the best during first trimester.

Thankful that Raising Cane’s is close because I think I’m going to run and get that for lunch. Cane’s sauce sounds amazing right now.

And thankful that my husband still loves me through my mood swings.

Thankful to hit 10 weeks today! Grateful that my husband is working and that I’m finally receiving unemployment from my furlough.

Thankful for Chipotle and Einstein’s Bagels, the only foods I’m able to eat.

I'm thankful to have a job that I can work from home easily.

I'm also thankful that DS is being a pretty good listener during quarantine and I'm grateful I get to spend all this extra time with him.

  • Thankful that our landlord isn’t charging us fees for being late on rent. DH needs to call our car loan servicer to see what we need to do, since our unemployment still hasn’t kicked in and we have no idea when it will. Also thankful that I seem to have gotten over staying up until 7 or 8am and am back to a somewhat normal sleep schedule.

  • Thankful to be 9 weeks today and to be able to see the light at the end of the nausea tunnel!

Also very lucky to be in a home we love during these times. I only moved from NYC a couple of years ago and I cannot imagine being in my old tiny apartment alone during this time.
  • I am so thankful to be able to work from home through my first trimester. Also, I’m thankful to be able to spend this much time with my son.
  • I’m thankful for my husband for being able to be home with me right now (he usually works out of town) and my doggo for always giving the best snuggles and I’m most thankful to be pregnant. I honestly didn’t know how far into our infertility journey it would take us to be here let alone that the first round of clomid would work and I’m just so so so thankful despite all the nausea and exhaustion.

    So many things.

Thankful that it's a gorgeous day and my "hangover" from yesterday is totally gone. I feel like a new person. Braved Trader Joe's and it was actually empty (I guess people start to swing by over their lunch breaks), so now we're all stocked up on snacks, cheese, frozen vegetables, and other good things.

Thankful that I'm still employed and can easily work from home. Agree with someone else who said that teleworking during the first trimester is a godsend. Also, even though that my husband lost his job in March, we're still in a good place financially and will be able to weather this. I just hope he gets something soon, he's starting to get discouraged.

Thankful for my husband, in general. He's incredibly patient, finds the gross/weird pregnancy things to be amusing (i.e. he thinks its hilarious when I burp or fart), and is doing his best to help out around the house. Maybe it's because we're introverts and generally just hang out with each other to begin with, but we haven't really gotten on each others' nerves yet.

Finally, we and our families are all well and safe. It's scary times out there, so as much as we may be getting restless I'm glad we all have the option to stay home and be safe. This time last year my father went into the hospital with pneumonia and a-fib and a few months later my mother also got sick with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, it's scary to think how that would have ended if it happened today.

Thankful for mild symptom pregnancies or else I’d never keep up with my 3 littles. Also thankful for coffee.
  • All awesome responses!!

I am thankful for my kiddos. Even when I'm stressed they always put a smile on my face and keep my grounded!
