How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?
    - Mentally/Emotionally- I’m worried. I don’t see my provider again until July. I’m so worried something will happen and I won’t know. I’m convinced this baby isn’t going to make it and I spend every day trying to tell myself otherwise. I just want September to get here.
This is also right around when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago. She died in September. This time of the year sucks.

Any upcoming appointments? AS in June

GTKY: What job would you be terrible at? - teaching or anything with kids.

@ProfessorMcGonagall *internet hugs* I'm sorry that you're struggling right now. You will get through this. June isn't that far away!

How far along are you? 16+1 today

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? I'm feeling much better this week than last week, both symptom-wise and emotionally. New symptom, though, is lower back pain. I'm hardly even showing yet, but by the end of the day my lower back is super tight and achy. I think that the further along I get, and depending on the governor's stay at home order, I'm going to push for a prenatal massage or two. Massages are one of my self-care splurges that I would occasionally treat myself to once or twice a year, and I'm afraid that once the baby comes I won't be able to do that anymore, so I might as well get one last hurrah in before then.

Any upcoming appointments? I have labs for MSAFP tomorrow, then AS on May 18th.

GTKY: What job would you be terrible at? Anything to do with complicated math. I'm a words person (psych major). I can do simple math, but anything beyond that is challenging for me, so I would be constantly doubting myself if I had to do it as a profession. MH is the math guy, he is a mechanical designer for a government contractor, so I leave that to him. I also would be horrible at speaking to large groups of people. As a hardcore introvert, I'd be a terrible motivational speaker at conferences and the like. I actually kind of cringe when I have to attend conferences like that, because it's just not my thing.

How far along are you? 18 weeks Wednesday

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)?

Symptom wise fine, it’s been a physically easy pregnancy. Emotional lay not great. I panic at least once a day about having to go to my anatomy scan alone.

Any upcoming appointments? May 20 for my 20 week appt and anatomy scan

GTKY: What job would you be terrible at?
Hmm, probably a cab driver. I hate making small talk and driving.

@ProfessorMcGonagall I’m right there with you. I just have this sinking feeling baby is not going to come home. Would your provider maybe do a quick extra visit just to check the HB? Mine is willing to do that just to calm anxiety.

@babyodo I’m planning on getting a massage next week! I called and was comfortable with the precautionary measures they’re taking. One of which is seeing less clients per day to allow for thorough sanitizing, so it took a little longer than usually to get in FYI in case your spa is doing something similar.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Eh.  I was disappointed my appointment was cancelled two weeks ago (well, changed to a phone appointment) - hearing the heartbeat is reassuring. I mean, I'm definitely still growing, but I really can't wait until my next appointment when I get an ultrasound again and/or start to feel movement (rationally I know it's early for that as a FTM, but irrationally I keep trying to hold still and see if I notice anything).

Any upcoming appointments? 5/22 for a regular OB appointment and anatomy scan probably a week or two afterward

GTKY: What job would you be terrible at? Anything involving athletic ability.
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • @profmcgonagall the milestones associated with the pregnancy you lost are so hard! Lots of love to you. This pregnancy has a due date a week apart from our stillborn daughters and so many of the milestones track with this pregnancy and it messes with my mind.

How are you feeling (symptoms, mentally/emotionally)? Just anxious. Wishing I felt more movement. Wishing I knew with 100% certainty that we would bring this baby home

Any upcoming appointments? OB on 5/8 and anatomy scan on May 11th

GTKY: What job would you be terrible at?
I would be an awful waitress. So much small talk. I’d probably spill drinks on people- I’m so clumsy.
