What books are you mom's reading right now? There are so many out there it would be nice to get through the noise. I've just read "A Holistic Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth" by Deepak Chopra . I LOVED IT! I found it so calming. Any others?
I’ve been reading the Mama Natural Week by Week Guide to Pregnancy and like it. It’s pretty informative so far. This is my 3rd pregnancy and this time around I would like to go as natural as possible. The book you mentioned sounds right up my alley!
Someone in an earlier thread talked about starting a book club and the first one is called Expecting Better by Emily Oster. I think there will be a thread about it starting soon. I got my copy the other day and I'm in the second chapter. It's written by an economist and is geared towards people who like the facts and figures behind pregnancy recommendations. I like it so far, although I didn't know I had to worry about gardening, sheesh!
@dancingtreepose. I am so enjoying the book, but I don't care what it says about cat litter. I have been doing it for 9 years, so now it is my husband's turn! Interested in what it says about gardening though. Our new house has amazing landscaping and I want to get out there and get my hands dirty.
I’m about to start expecting better. For basic info I swear by the Mayo Clinic guide to a healthy pregnancy. I also like Harvey Karp’s happiest baby on the block
@dancingtreepose My sister literally just messaged me today recommending ”Expecting Better” and also “Nurture.” Thinking I’ll grab both. Let me know your thoughts!
I read "Expecting Better" during my last pregnancy and highlighted the cr*p out of it for reference later. Definitely biased, since I'm an economist as well, but definitely found the book to be useful.
Re: Pregnancy Books!
I'm definitely interested in other titles too!
